I think we have seen the company has been forthwith with information on the product (albeit sometimes lagging a bit ,which is understandable in the rush up to product launch), and if any release delays are introduced they are in the pursuit of ensuring a better product.

That being said: Doesn't make waiting any easier.

Do we know if it will be the only Ascent contest or will the Haiku thread be a second contest as well?

There's only one contest currently. If they have another in mind we haven't seen it yet. We're waiting to see if the current contest rules or info need any tweaking.

Contests have to be submitted for review, to make sure the bases are covered and everything's clear, etc. Only one has been submitted so far. The one you mention may be upcoming, but it's not official yet, so I can't say. Ask DaVinci. The one already submitted will surely start first.

Nope nothing has changed..I will run two for you guys. The design challenge first and the Haiku second, so get your creative juices flowing.

Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that we will not be selling the Ascent first..that is incorrect. We will be selling it on the website as soon as I get them and the rest will go to distribution- not everyone buys online ya know. (I honestly think the person he was talking to was thinking wholesale).

Agreed..the podcast was boring, except the horse head, but that was way better in person. Note that we had been partying all night and randomly found this guy walking down Fremont street with a horse head on. If it had been fun, I would have posted the link here instead of making filler for Facebook.

Hey at least DV actually awards prizes when they announce a contest. Another prevalent manufacture here had a Christmas video contest that was NEVER awarded the PROMISED prizes . . .

Contests have to be run in their own thread. The first post should explain the rules. Unfortunately moving the existing haiku into the Contest thread would make DV's post with the rules drop way down the thread. This software won't let us change that behaviour, so I'm not sure what we can do short of asking people to re-post their entries. That's actually probably best anyway, considering some of the existing posts might not qualify.

I'm happy to bring you guys 2 contests and so glad that you all came up with the Haiku one on your own..but it is not conducive to us to run 2 concurrently.

Besides, the first one fills a need that I have ...so maybe I'm being selfish. But the end result is the same- 2 contests, 2 winners.

Do you have any dimensions yet for us concerning the Gog water adapter

Yep, contest should go up as soon as the mods post it. A 14nm-19mm adapter would be optimal. The key here is that the Ascent needs to remain standing upright...otherwise this would be a piece of cake.

In case your wondering why...sure you can use it upside down, but it would not be the ideal position for essential oils.

Thanks for clearing that up before we all said whhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. I was saying if I have to use the ascent right side up I am out of here. I use all my vapes laying in bed but I don't use oil.

I am not going to win a contest again...such is my life. I won a dollar once on a scratch off. One is gonna be a poem and one a drawing that leaves me out of both oh well. I was hoping for the lottery type win one on fb but lost that one too. Menz and I are losers...hope you don't mind me mentioning that menz.

As you moved all of those posts to a new thread, can't you start a new contest thread with the DaVinci rules post, then migrate the existing thread into that one? The either nuke the existing or do a redirect?

And if some of the results don't qualify, they don't qualify and the judges figure that. You can have non-qualifying posts in any contest thread no matter what you do, so it doesn't matter if some get transferred.

Yes we can but the way this software works we can't change the date of a post. DV's rules should be in the first post but all of those earlier posts will come before it and we don't have a way to fix that.
