RezBlock /Cranberry Extract

Assuming its safe, would you vape through anything other than water if it offered some benefit?

It is stronger than me

Roger, compared to rezblock how much does your solution cost? I am still on the fence about rezblock. It is nice but I still clean every 3days with PBW and whether I use rezblock or not I still feel the need soak in PBW. I would use rezblock everyday but that adds up.

I've been stretching rezblock to the max 3 days and just hitting the glass with a simple hot water wash in between rezblocks.
Its staying super clean and almost zero smell!

I suppose I'll do a PBW wash every 1.5-2 weeks (think t-dub said he was down to weekly)
Although, I think I can use 25-50% the amount I was using because there's no heavy resin buildup anywhere.

But I do agree a more financially sustainable solution in the long run could be a good idea.
(Especially if you want to keep more than one piece going @ one time)

This is kinda where I am at, but different because of the Devastator, hot water flushes do wonders, but cleaning this thing is complicated, and the RezBlock is really helping making that cleaning easier. I find that no matter what glass I use, I'm going through a bottle of RezBlock a month. So thats averaging 10 drops and 100 ml of water/fill/day. As my testing improves and I stretch the fluid to 2 days, some times, then I can go longer. Buy it on sale, you can go even longer. What you don't want to do is mix up a bunch of solution and have it sitting around not being used, so once you get your routine down you can start using less.

I think I am going to get some more Sovereign Silver to add to my vaping solution, I just like its anti-microbial properties.

Cost isn't as bad for me because I use a very small-volume piece :D

Just about to finish the first small bottle of the green RezBlock! I would like something that's cheaper than $7 for 4 ounces though. I frequently change my water (everyday, more if I dab with it in there.)

You are going to love the new "red" concentrate. I can't wait to hear your thoughts after you try it. You plan on getting some? I bet they will have a great 4/20 promo coming, I plan to stock up if they do.

Yeah I'm going to definitely spend the money on it when I get around to it, but I'd like to make something just to try it :D I'm liking the color of the concentrated RB, but the green matches my slyme dome

Does it degenerate once it's been mixed t-dub? I've been taking a small water bottle and filling it with distilled water, putting in 17 drops and using it as needed. Once it's no longer pink, I feel it's "dirty" so I usually change out the Rezblock every day or two, so a bottle of pre-made solution usually lasts around a week. I haven't noticed any difference in it's ability to block the resin so I'm wondering..... It's so much easier having the solution made up already and not having to guess how much each piece needs.

This is a good idea.

I think y'all have finally won me over - I ordered some Rezblock last night. I'm also planning on making my own like Roger just as soon as I can source some decent cranberry extract.

LoL, same here. Ordered a bottle this morning. Wasn't too crazy about Rezblock when I first seen it, now I'm stoked to try some.

I like your idea too motg, just premix a 20oz bottle and use it throughout the week. Do you keep yours refrigerated? I'm guessing as long as everything was clean before mixing, and if you keep a cap on your mix it should be good for at least a week or two, I'd hope.

I do not keep mine refrigerated, but my house is kept quite cool. Might be a good idea in warm regions, however the extract itself doesn't need refrigeration, so I can't see why it would be necessary.

I think you guys will be happy to try it. I'm never going back to plain water.

i am still waiting for mine to arrive. i am not so good at cleaning and changing the water i hate to admit. so i hope this will still help me or maybe help me to change it more. does it do anything to the taste of your flowers when you vape through it?

If you guys mix it up and let it sit long enough, eventually, something will grow in it. If I was going to mix some solution and keep it around I would definitely put some sovereign silver in it, or keep it refrigerated, or both :)

Now I always use distilled water for my solution and also to rinse my pieces after each hot clean.

I changed my anti stick solution, more distilled water, more cranberry, less vegetable glycerin and citric acid. Here is the updated recipe.

I would refrigerate it. I had mold growing in Destroyer of Sober! Bringer of STONED!, after day 3 and I wasn't even using her.

My thoughts on the cost of RezBlock. Now that experiments are over, I use approximately 1 bottle/month, 10 drops/day, which is $20/month. I bought a years supply at 50% off, guarantee you they have a great 4/20 sale coming up, so that brings it down to $10/month. The time it saves me, and OCD relief, is worth that but if I can use less than 10 drops/day then it starts stretching even more. It takes only 9 drops to properly treat the Devastator so I'm saving a drop a day If don't use anything else right there. Skip a day . . . :2c:

Edit: I'm wondering if RezBlock, in the long term, can help mitigate hard water etching . . .

Received my Rez Block today, two days early too.

So far, I am impressed. This is definitely a product I would have passed on if it weren't for this thread.

This is my piece after around 5 days of use (with RezBlock too). Before, I would get that buildup with 1 day's use. I dumped out the water everyday but didn't give it more than a very quick rinse with water to remove the salty taste of the RezBlock from the mouthpiece area. I'm talking 3 seconds total, if that of fresh water exposure. A little bit of ISO will clear it right up, but now I get to do it once a week instead of every two days. The 4 ounce original formula stuff goes a long way due to the obviously small volume of water my piece likes :)

and after a quick ISO rinse (no salt, just ISO) I just did

how many drops do you think i should use for a 12oz bottle of water??

so i didn't want to double post so i am editing this one. although my question above still is out there...

i used the smoke soap last night and i have to say it's pretty awesome. i filled my bubbler to the max amount of water it could hold and poured that into a measuring cup. i the divided that number in half and made a solution of hot water and smoke soap and poured it into my bubbler. i shook it a bit then let it sit overnight. i then washed it with some hot water and my piece was sparkling. real good stuff. they say it is reusable so since i had to use most of my bottle for my bubbler... i decided to pour it out into a mason jar and will use it again

36 drops... for the full strength that most are using to last 3 days, that's three drops per ounce. If you only need it to last for a day, try using just 3-5 drops no matter how much water your piece holds. Experiment with it, see what works for you.

You can also use less when you are using double chambers. I have found that I can use a half strength mixture in the second chamber and have the water "expire" at about the same time as the full strength in the first chamber. I preferred it this way... when I tried the full strength in a second chamber, the water would last about 5 days before getting stale, but not seem fully used and the first chamber needs changing at 3 days anyway.

After my own experiments and using the new RezBlock for about 6 weeks, I'm back to a daily water change and I use 4-5 drops to the 100ml in my Lattice Bub. This seems to keep things fresh for the day and keep the bubbles stacking, the lattice just doesn't stack very well on day 3 of the full strength. Again, experiment and see what works best for you.

I love this stuff, I don't want to live without it. Over 6 weeks and there's still a weeks worth or so in the first bottle. I don't get around very well, so the fact that I now spend about half the time rinsing and cleaning is a major advantage for me. I do get a slight hint of cranberry flavor from vaping through the RezBlock, but my taste buds seem to pick up on anything and everything... besides, it's much more pleasant than plane bong water after a few hours.

Thank you T-Dub for sharing this product with us.

So, my quick answer to a simple question turned into the mini review that obviously needed to get out of my head,.
