Attempting to not sound like a complete idiot..

Is there a good portable vape good for vaporizing green rather than wax or oil?

Start reading any of the threads in the Portable section on the first page, pretty much. You will find out soon enough what fits your needs most.

Edit: I said first page, but you can skip that. The whole portable section is full of portable vaporizers that vape green very well. They are all different from each other though, so it's up to you what you want in a vape.

For loose leaf herb it really can depend on your budget, but there are some very solid options.

Look into the Arizer Solo, Flashvape with Stage 2 kit, they seem to be very popular nowadays on here at an affordable price of around $160, if you want to bump it up a little higher, look into the inhalater xp at the $250 price mark if you want something pocketable.

I can attest for the arizer solo. It is VERY easy to pick up and get a nice visible cloud and the taste doesn't even compare to smoking. I also had the iolite and with its design, it's a little bit more stealthy in terms of looks but the performance and reliability are much better with the solo. You can also adjust the temperature, which you can't do with the iolite. I'll keep it simple for you in terms of what your looking for.

- Stealthy with a budget over $200
Inhalator, Pax, Da Vinci (new model ascent coming out also)

- Performance oriented, portable and slightly stealthy around $170
Solo, Flashvape SV2

- Budget around $100 and in my opinion sleathiest of them all
Magic Flight launch box

These are all very solid vaporizers but it depends on WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. I will note if your new to vaping the Magic Flight will not give you milky hits on day one because you will have to learn how to pull at the right pace to get the hit you desire but it is very capable after you learn your draw speed. The performance oriented ones are very easy to pick up and milk alongside of the expensive portables. Read each of the threads and see what suits you. Hope I helped!!

I'll have to agree with everything never says, aside of that of the MFLB. The launch box does work, I wont say it doesnt, but it isn't very satisfying IME. Even after learning the technique (nose draw, sipping it), it isn't going to give you crazy large hits. I was very disappointed with it after I got it, and quickly put off vaping for over another year until I got my Cano. I will agree that it is the most stealthy of all, and doesn't let off too much smell. it easily hides in your hands when youre hitting it, you can pretend like youre yawning when taking a draw and noone would know the difference. It just isn't a go to heavy hitter like the Solo, inhalater, pax and flash vape. If you can spend the money and absolutely need stealth, go with the inhalater. Pax isn't bad but convection > conduction.

In a breath, I'd tell you to get a Solo, but also to ponder the Inhalater Xp and Flashvape S2 as others have recommended. The Solo is a very tough proposition to beat at $160.

I love my MFLB but it has some serious idiosyncrasies which can hamstring it, especially when you want to share with uninitiated friends.

+1 on Solo, easily affordable at $160 with free shipping from certain sites (like PV).

The Inhalater XP seems to be getting good reviews but you will have to be willing to dish out an extra $60-90 depending on where you buy.

There is also many new portable vaporizers hitting the market this year, and all seem worth looking into.
Just browse the upcoming vaporizer threads and see if any interest you.

One last Note: For your first vaporizer, you cannot go wrong with the Solo. It is relatively cheap, extremely reliable, has a very good track record, and is versatile.
