Choosing my first portable

I am sorry to post this as I am sure you guys are getting extremely tired of these threads, but I am stuck between a few vaporizers. I have already decided against the MFLB as money is not an issue and i am looking for a piece that will give top notch vape hits without a large learning curve. I have also decided against the Arizer Solo as i want this vaporizer to be able to fit into my pocket without much notice. So please do not bring up these two.

So i am currently at the crossroads between the Pax by Ploom, Davinci by Karma, and the Thermovape. I am turning to vapes for my health, and i have read that the DaVinci can give off-gassing? Is this that serious? Also i have read issues with both of the other two; that the pax's mouthpieces get stuck and the batteries dramatically drop in performance after a few months. I have also heard that the thermovape will easily combust your weed. Are these issues true or very rare?

So besides which one to pick overall, i have a few questions first. Which of these theee will give me the densest and most flavorful hits? Which vape is the "safest" for my body? And which vaporizer is the least problematic with issues after months of use?

Thanks for the help guys, btw all of these vapes are the same price at my local headshop and i cannot

Pcpvapors nailed it! If you are against the solo, then the inhalator should be for you as it's in near the solo price range, delivers milky hits without a learning curve like MFLB and they even have an XP model.

Do some research on the forums. When I'm choosing a new product I usually go back 45 pages or so from the threads current page and see what feedback, techniques and of course, reliability of the product. These guys on FC will do things will their vapes that you would never imagine!!

P.S. if you don't mind waiting, check out the da Vinci ascent thread. Thread candidate in portables!

Nevertheless1090,
The headshop has the thermovape t1 and ill have to look around for the inhalator because i do not want to order the vaporizer online and risk my parents finding and confiscating it

And pcpvapors, could you please give an explanation on why i should remove the pax from the list.

TKC, out of the three you name I'd chose the DaVinci , if you get a new model it has amazing battery life and they have fixed the off gassing problem. in order to get the improved DV I'd buy direct from their
web site or talk to Randy At puffitup.com. Keep reading through the portable vape threads I'm sure there's one just right for your needs, just because I like a vape dosn't mean you will . Good Luck

RUDE BOY,
Thanks for the input Rude Boy, ill check my headshop first to see if they have the new model. Is there a way to check on the box to determine if the DaVinci is one of the new models?

Also is there a major difference in quality between the original inhalater and the xp, or would i be very happy with either model?

I second checking out the Ascent, I love the DaVinci but newer is usually better within the same company. The Inhalator is very popular here but I've never tried it myself.

DaVinci
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Great battery life
- Very discreet, I walk around my college campus with this thing in a cup.
- Digital temperature display is big for me in a vape
- Can be use while charging.
- Good customer service.

Cons:
-Not as versatile as the solo
-The taste (in my opinion) is inferior because of the materials used (not offgassing, just what happens when a vape doesn't have a glass vapor path)
-It gets hot to touch on top, it's more of an inconvenience tough because the bottom stays cool enough to handle it.

If you need to be discreet VapeWorld is very good about making the shipping label and notification on your billing statement very inconspicuous.

TKC, sorry don't know what the newer serial # thats probably the only way to tell. If its a green one I
assume its a new model but not really sure of that either. I'm not helpin' much today. Hopefully someone
else can tell you . Try Asking on the DaVinci thread more people hanging out there, I'd do the same with
the inhalater go to it's thread and ask, people there would know.you'll get Quicker Answers that way.

From what I have read there are no "major" differences. Just some minor improvements like a tighter temp knob which was a big complaint on the regular model. I wouldn't consider the original when a better model exists, especially when they are the same price. I pre-ordered mine and should be getting it soon. You should take a peek at the XP thread. They have a lot of info there with some nice videos as well.

Big differences between the INH and XP are:

Longer battery life
Bigger (or extra?) airholes
Temperature knob
Fasting heating

I'd go with the XP. Like with the Da Vinci, the early models had a few problems. With the XP you know you're getting the newest one. As others have said, you can do discreet methods. Theres also retailers like the other side of vapes, puffitup, planetvape, etc. who have a huge forum presence and you can ask them directly if they'd able to go hide it with a t-shirt or something.

Ahhh, that's the other thing I was looking for, Bigger airways. Thanks Paz. Did anyone confirm if the battery life is any better?

The original inhalater line was actually updated as issues arose because all units were hand built.

EDIT: to the OP regarding the pax, when I saw the pax I wasn't impressed, when I used the pax that didn't change either. Much better options available. To be totally honest I cannot believe you're passing on the solo, but to each their own I guess. I do know that I would also not consider the thermovape t1 as its no longer in production.
My davinci is still going strong 9 months later, was a nice vaporizer.

Ya, but what I meant was if he orders the older model from a retailer and not directly from Pharmacor, it's hard to know if it still has problems or not.

Didn't you read his requirements? The Solo isn't in the pocket vape category.

if im not mistaken the XP is also a tad shorter than the 004. so a little more stealthy perhaps?

OP, i would also replace the pax with the XP on your list.

my current watch list is:
INHxp
Ascent
Pinnacle
Cera

Yes the XP is pretty stealthy, the whole body fits into the palm of my hand so only the mouth piece sticks up. As you can see in this picture, maybe its an inch/inch and a half longer? Less bulky though and it feels like a fat sharpie in my pocket.

We're here to fuck shit up.
Well, I'm going to go the other route and suggest the Pax. I've had mine since September and I love it. Yes, you have to keep it clean, but it's not exactly a hassle to do so. The clouds it produces can be wispy or immense depending in the speed and length at which you draw as well as the temp setting. I prefer it to my Solo for in the go vaping for multiple reasons. The portability is top notch and it is very inconspicuous, I don't have to reload the bowl multiple times a day, and I feel it produces thicker clouds. I get extremely medicated off my Pax and I think the taste it provides is excellent. A really great thing about the Pax is the company that makes it. Ploom's warranty is fantastic and their customer service is superb.

If i was to order the Inhalater i would have to find a way for it to be shipped to my house in a way for my parents not to find out
Sadly no headshops in my city seem to carry it.

Easy. Request that it be left at a post office/shipping courier office and you pick it from there.

I'd say for your criteria, INH hands down. I admit i'm a bit bias and done the most research on that vape though.

Great idea in theory, however since its an age restricted item, the company would have to send it with signature confirmation (21+) which sounds like it would be an issue. The inhalater price is the same anywhere you go as far as I know
