Da buddha dab kit (nail ? )

Anything specific you would want a shot of? I can't upload a video till the 1st due to limited internet.

The heater cover is becoming resonated fairly quick. I made some abv oil just to have something to play around with till I can pick up some bho. Its probably just because of that but I can imagine having to clean the cover at least once a month with heavy hash use.

Entheogenesis,
So far 11 o clock has been working well with bubble hash. My stuff isnt full melt but its pretty good. It seems to vape and then at the very end it combusts slightly and no more vape/smoke is produced. I can taste the hash for a good 3-4 hits while its in there.

Ive been using 1230ish for the abv oil and it works well so far. I still need to try it with real oil though since its not as thick.

Thanks Vitolo!!! i should have known you would get one!!! you had to keep it under "wraps" so i assume you were a beta tester?? i vape my buds at 11 or 12 on the dial, sometimes i push it to 12:30 or 1:00. so a few questions...

1) where do you place the dial for using this?? my main uses will be ABV QWISO and wand hash from DBV/Solo stems. i do not have reliable access to quality EO's

2) could you also put a screen in the new wand and vape some flowers while doing oil at the same time?

3) how can you tell if the Ti cup is up to proper heat? does it change color?? i could not tell from the video... sorry

4) i see you did not use a ceramic disc... what are they needed for??

sorry for questions, i am sure i have more but can't think of them now. i am sure i will think of more when mine arrives at my doorstep

-I would start at the top
-I would fist force the element down a bit (lower is better for this application.)
-There IS a screen in the new wand.. it is part of the system.. it breaks up and diffuses the oils vapor that would normally cling to the walls of the glass after that!
I personally do not vape flowers in that wand... I am going for a delicately clean reclaim.... BUT you surely can!
-I leave the unit sit at top heat for 5 minutes and I assume it ready, and it has been to date... It does get hotter after that too, I have noticed. you will not need to wait more than 7 minuets.(you can not tell by the nails color when it is hot enough... just the element underneath will be BRIGHT)
The nail when it is coolchanges to gold then eventually blue, after many uses..
- I do not use a ceramic disc with this setup. The concept is you can slide the disc into the wand, and it will further diffuse the oil going through, making even more residue, (this would apply to screen also) for better "after hits'.(when you put the glass stopper ball in place, and hit the wand without dabbing~

thanks for the info Vitolo!!! i went back to look at the order i placed at 7th floor's website and i notice it did not show or say a dabber was included. i have one so it's not a huge deal but i like the one in your video and it looks like the same one in the OP of this thread. where did you get it? or did it come with your kit?

The dabber was a gift.
You are correct.. it is a very convenient tool.. just the right shape to set down, and the sticky spatula nor the ball touch table surface.
I do not know if it is an available product , but will find out.

thank you!!! you are da man!!!

after doing a google image search i found a "cosmic dabber" that looks like yours here:

$40.00 for a dabbing tool is a little much to me. guess i will stick to my dentist tools

there is no comparison.
The temperature is constant, and there is no torch!
the walls allow you to "enter" the bowl, and to "side dab" on your way up out of the bowl.
Neat
Clean
Efficient
No splatter
no waste

I cant express how awesome this add-on is. I fell out of love with bubblehash for a bit in favor of keif cause I couldnt vape it as well. I get amazing flavor every time with the da buddha.

so Vitolo says start at the top (which i assume he means full blast or 5:00 on the dial) and Entheogenesis says 11:00 (which is where i vape flowers normally) works for him..... looks like i will have to do a lot experimenting when my kit comes to see where on the dial to use it

Yes... experimentation is in line.
Please remember that full melts, will run from heat... so if you start low...
The oils can run up the walls of the Titanium cup, and create a slow vaporous release, which one may not be able to completely inhale, before the red hot element ignites these fumes!

Thanks Vitolo.... actually all i will be throwing at it either ABV oil or DBV/Solo wand hash that i filter to make an oil. my access to the oils like you would get at a good dispencerary are next to non-existent.

that is true.... but if you were a person like me with no experience making QWISO or BHO from flowers, would you really sacrifice something you paid $400.00 for and HOPE you get it right and don't mess it up?? sorry my budget will not let me throw $400.00 out the window in an experiment that may not go right the first time. I tried making QWISO from some shake and trim i was able to get a hold of one time for free and my results were not favorable at all. so you could see why i would be gun shy with a bag that cost me that much.

thanks for the suggestion though :)

I never stated the temperature as absolute fact just as what is working for me right now. Im still messing around with temps and waiting for the community to chime in on whats working best. Obviously Vitilo is some sort of vaporizer review god and his advice should be heeded far before mine!

A bho run with a stainless steal turkey baster will hold about 7-8 grams in it. That will produced 1-2grams of oil (probably a little over 1). Unless you have a vacuum pump to purge semi properly its probably not worth it ( tons of people disagree with me and believe heat is good enough). I can pm you a guide for qwiso (i prefer to use everclear) and walk you through it. I know how it feels to be in a non medical state and not wanting to waste material but it is extremely hard to mess up (even more so with qwiso). You just grind soak shake pour evaporate and scape. Worst case scenario you leave the material in the iso too long and pull too much chlorophyll into the hash and it tastes funky.

Hey... just a severely impaired patient, that does nothing with his time other than medicate.
My response was intended to help all understand the "physics" of volatile oils when they approach heat, to avoid waste of valuable meds.

About the "purge'... I have a little trick you may like to try.
You can buy a "Vacuvin" to vacuum purge, and it is affordable.
I found that I can go outside... with the collected BHO on a dish...
I wear 2 pairs of sunglasses for this...
and I get a magnifying glass, and focus the sun's light on my gram of BHO.
I start small in the center, so it heats fast, then when it is bubbling, I widen my focus, until the whole thing is going.....
It will bubble, and then settle down to clear.(you can pinpoint spots that still have a bubble or two to finish up).
When it stops bubbling under the magnifying glass, it is purged.
It will not appear as wax or putty when purged this way, but generally as amber shatter.

Vito, that has got to be one of the more clever ways to purge a concentrate that i've ever heard of. i'm assuming the first pair of sunglasses is for the sun's rays and the second is because 'sun purging' is so darn cool  i'll have to try that out sometime when the weather over here isn't ~20 degrees F with snow all over...

i would recommend avb/shake/shwag and fill a tube with one or a combo of them. u will realise it is quite easy. at $400 an o it sounds like u are not a med patent (same here) u should be able to obtain shwag for, at most, $50 and make some oil at a very low risk. or i u cant get avb/shwag/shake u can do 'mini runs' where u cut a tube down (depending on how much... anywhere from 1/8th toanything u want lol)

so my DBV oil kit came yesterday. unfortunately, life got in the way so i could not play. si put it on the Buddha now, cut me a foot long hose, and put one end in my oil bubbler. been sitting on max power for over 10 min now. so i am going to lower it a bit and play. i got some ABV oil to play with... wish me luck!!! :)

***EDIT*** first dab taken at 2:00 on the dial was a monster hit. still too much of a noob till tell if that temp was too much, too little, or just right.... but it was fun!!

so i lowered down to 12:00 and was still able to get a huge hit. this thing is pretty cool!!

my only gripe... i cannot get the glass glob or whatever its called to sit on when i want to vape my flowers and i really dont want to switch back and forth between heater covers if i don't have to. i have the old "shims" and "spacers" style and every time i pull a heater cover out something always comes with it. and sometimes its very hard to get out

Been using my DBV oil kit for the past week, very good $60 spent.

I have the older style shim style for the globe, the oil globe is a little big so doesn't want to slide on easily but I made it go, lol. The stopper for the top does not make even the slightest seal unless I hold it straight up and done, not something I want to just sit there without holding. With the oil globe in place, one hand holding the glass stopper the other hand putting in a wand with flower and power on highest I can only get wispy hits. So I have not figured out dual purpose use yet but that isn't why I got it anyway.

So after two grams of BHO I am very satisfied with its function, it is not going to replace my Bob Park custom glass for taste with a nail and dome, nothing so far has beaten this piece for flavor but convenience with good flavor is very appealing. It has been very nice to turn the dBV on and be able to do a dab on demand with no whoosh from a torch. I am running a 9" piece of tubbing to my SYN, the amount of reclaim is high for 2g of oil and this is a reason I use water since my lungs can't handle all of that in them. I can honestly say this is something I will use when I am dabbing all night or have some company over for a session and people can dab at will.

I have been preheating at high with the glass stopper on topl laying horizontal making a blockage of sorts, I find after this warm up the nail is pretty responsive to temp changes from 1 o'clock to 5 o'clock with out much wait. Any oil hits I tried below 1 o'clock just boiled and where not a pleasant flavor but playing from 1 to full blast gave some interesting hits, 2-3 o'clock seemed to be my sweet spot.

I need to shoot DBV an email about the fit of my globe when installing and the stopper as well and see what they have to say. Still it all works and it was on $60.
