Raf007: The hose that comes with the MiniVap fits neatly inside a EQ 1,2,3,4 hose making the conversion from miniVap to 18mm gong. A little trick I pick up tinkering around my house. Also I start out on green and move to red after the extraction get a little light. I find the taste is better this way.

I like using mine that way, green then up and out. I had glass vape parts and silicone tube laying round so built my own gong for my big bong. Minivap working good now too.

My mini was old model, ver 1.2 and I needed to put an prong I cut from some sil pipe I had. That did nada more too. I have opened up this thing first night I had it and got no vap.. I was impressed by its construction and like the heat brick which I think is a heating element/air path labyrinth. By passing air this way we have a volcano heating system, we are the pump! So air tight is crucial. They built that in but missed when it comes to ver1.2 top cone. So I put a small wad, tiny, of cotton on air intake side and screwed the thing back together. Only really need to remove back plate and add cotton to top of tube, just rest on top, not squeeze into tube ok. Replace bottom cover, bolts. Up top, I added oring that I cut to cone tube, at base. Then I put the silicone tube in the top cover hole till it was flush to bottom inside cover. Then jammed the cone in the silicone and now I can get best upper seal using the rigid cone it came with.. Oh the tube can hold minivap with battery attached too.

This setup made me happy in vape taste, and effect was supreme... Best 700 bucks yet spent. My that batt did finish fast but that's the conditioning phase that should be fine. I also ripped open my batt can too, 4x 18650 cells in a pack arrangement, series connected and a little Pcb to hold connector pins.. Plate on top for connectors to minivap is Pcb too if I remember... That's because I set it away for 3days till I played with top and cotton mod just 2hrs ago. Inspiration is strange how it comes and goes..

Now for that gong, bit of glass blowing and heat made me a gong to pipe, it fits puurfect. Big rips on green.. Bong sounds nice.. Now I must wait for it to charge, damn how long does it take? Please tell me... Also where is a manual, I got none and cannot find on the net too. I must be dumb no or it not exist..

I found that it is real efficient too. And when batt goes the heater holds up to 2-3 more hits, dimming as usual. So not instant death. So the guys, Jorge at minivap, tell me of updates avail soon so then ill send mine in for updates. I might gift this updated one to my best mate, he needs to convert to the vape, and buy an updated one, then send this in when the new one comes. I save so much money now, wow 50g tobacco goes two weeks, 16 bucks a week not 74! Also my job pay better now too, my stocks do nice, so with my lungs happy... So am I and family... No more smells too.. I used to use 100g tobacco a week at best and 150g at worst.. Those figures are for pax, vapor genie and solo.. This minivap... It's gonna save; I see that after my first good, half, only poured in bowl..

So pax is warming my hand. Mflb will sooth in bed, solo with modded Ed stem for passing with pax passing counter flow... For parties out doors. Inside parties well the cano ballon is fun, but minivap could run round there too.. I'll see at the next party. Now come on minivap... Get charged already..

Thanks for the tip Lostcluster...I'll go get one of those hose if needed cause it will be usefull one day ;), but as you may know (as a Cloud owner I mean) when you have an LSV & a Cloud at home for you water tool you don't really want to use an MV ;)

Gotta say, even after a year since I had the chance to meet jorge and his little baby, I still feel a bit like on the second row...I only own a solo, and don't get me wrong, it does do the job. But this one time I got to try the MiniVap, damned it totally messed things up...I mean, the flavor, the easiness of the draw, the feel of the thing, well the Minivap to me is out of the league...

Now if only one day I find the funding to get one...one day I will. and before that time I hope you guys who are lucky enough to own one will have figured out a solid way to hook it up to a glass piece, as it seems some nice ways are being worked out allready...

Did not look like much coming out. But the vapor sure take a while clearing the room.

Enough to blow my symptoms away ;)

Its only loaded with .09, and I had like 3 more diluted puffs after

The fist hit looks less thick in the tube but its only a question of lighting

Roger:
How much better does your mini work since you had it moded? How much denser are your clouds?

Wow!! I cannot wait for Jorge to reply to my mail. These minivaps rock your head hard. Very satisfactory. That said mine is early and I'm sending mine in for inspect. Roger, that room you have reminds me of boarding school in Holland back in the day.. Brings me back that window style.. So my mini is troubled by software glitch, but it still vapes on red. How have y'all found battery life to be? That I have not tested. Jorge told me how the improvements he'll send me will make better experience. Like was done for you rog.. I'm signing over to the magic flight one now. Been reading up on vapor blunt 2.0 waiting on the palm2.0 but cannot wait till my mini has been inspected, updated and remodeled to their new concept..

Well I waited for a while and he replied. He should be sending me some test bits lets see. Meanwhile mine stopped working, no lights, I measured the base terminals and oh s..t it reads 1.2ohm. It never ran the full two hours for me too. Also the battery lights used to go nuts even 20mins after full charge run. With the amounts I saved on smoking alone I had enough and I overnighted a new one. My order timing was wrong so, I had to wait the weekend out.. So with nothing to loose I opened up my mini and looked at the Pcb.. The battery has a bms( battery management system) circuit built in I saw that earlier. Based on the fact that at full power the unit would pretty much dump the battery volts on the heater I thought I would just direct wire the battery to the heater and see.

Well it works that way, simple and old school, the battery pins are small so now I have a connector system, twist off unplug.. I found that it easily goes 4hours straight no disconnection, straight full tilt. I just empty refill and vape on. No more cut off timer too. The battery is full at 16.8 volts and out at 12.3-12.8 volts. Oh minivap will charge and vape at least mine now does. Now I'm building a micro controller based circuit that can be updated via USB plug on any pc. It will have temp control and battery condition check as well as user set cutoff timers. I will employ mark space ratio heating current to actively control temp. Pulse Width Modulation. I wonder what is max volts for heater box this vape uses. Hope Jorge will help me answer that. Then I might be able to really bring abv to dark brown blackish if I chose. So now by this time on Monday night mine will be all circuited up. Until then it vapes fine this way. They produce nice effect these minivaps. I can ride my motorbike and puff pipe tobacco and when the vapors die I add one drop of eliquid on top or the spent load.. That really puts out... Flavor somehow returns too. Must be eliquid flavor. It's easy that way, pull over, open up and drip, close up and ride on.

how much can you get these for now? And I've been looking at ebay and I got offered 500 on one but the listing has been up for a long time now and I'm wondering if maybe the miniVAP units that he has are not the most up to date units like still have problems etc... Any opinion helps a lot thanks

There is an FC discount and you can contact slides for less about it. Too bad the units have to be sent in for updates, kind of a pain. I would imagine if it is an old listing, you would need an update as well. Could always email the seller and inquire, assuming he is being honest about it.

You can also contact the manufacturer overseas to get the latest version available.

If you can wait a bit (month or two), there will be a public promotion price on their website

Hey guys, I see pecos has already mentioned that I have a review of the miniVAP out in todays Dopecast- for those of you who are interested, you can find it here:

http://dopecast.libsyn.com/dopecast348-february-2013-mini-vap-vaporizer-review

In a nutshell, I laughed when I saw the price tag, and couldn't see how any vape could be worth so much. However, after a couple of months' solid testing, and trialling it with miniVAP's target market, medical users, I have definitely come around. Most won't be able to afford it, but it is a very serious contender for the best vaporizer on the market. It's a toss-up between the miniVAP and the Cloud as far as I'm concerned- for those who don't like the cleaning and breaking hassle of glass, the miniVAP wins.

Really looking forward to the review. The more I look at this thing, the more I like it. It is a bit pricey, but in the great scheme of life, not too bad if one can get a good few years out of it without any problems.
