We're here to fuck shit up.
The Pax produces thick vapor either filled and packed to the brim or whether the screen is just covered.

I will also note that I have used the Pax for kief and hash.

The OP also said that concentrates are in his future! ._.
How do inh 004/xp or Solo cope whit that? ;)

The INH won't work, the Solo works perfect except for full melt. Of course, pure concentrates need a specific oil vaporizer like the Cera EO or the Persei.

Come one man, the point is not if it produces thick vapor or not. The point is, for the same amount of material, how much vapour it produces. If you pack the PAX, and put that same amount in a Solo stem, you would need like 2-3 stems to fill it.. that is my point.

INH would get very messy, the capsules aren't meant for it. The solo would have to make sandwiches to do it (herb, oil, herb). Both really aren't made for it which is usually why people end up with a designated oil and a designated flower vaporizer.

And my point is that the Pax can work fine off of what I would normally pack into a Solo stem and I get just as medicated. So I can pack it small or I can pack a full oven and enjoy it throughout the day. Relax, I'm not knocking the Solo. I like mine, I enjoy using it, but it is a cumbersome and clumsy portable. Not stealthy at all unless you want to stick it in a soft drink cup with an adapter and straw.

Love the debate fellas! Thanks for everyone's input. Please keep it coming. I have modified my VB2.0 and its blowing very big vapor these days. I already know that I need to get a job selling vapes because I'm sure I will be buying more than a few. ;)

I'm definitely into big vapor if possible, convection is a must, water attachments is a must, and the loading compartment needs to hold as much as possible. I'm waiting of course, on the reviews for the INH XP, Cera, and this: http://wizvape.com/

I do believe I will pick up a persei for the e-juice. Getting my nic fix plus my meds at the same time seems very appealing, but costly. Does anyone know off the top of their head, how much flower you can pack into it?

So I am now probably keeping my VB2.0, buying a used persei, and one of the three listed above. Hell the more I read about the FlashVape, I want that one too! ;)

I'm still open to any advice though.

If you aren't getting one for awhile, you could always wait for the reviews of the Ascent to come in as well.

All glass path, sleek design, and I believe it can do liquids. Release ETA is still months away though.

The wizvape looks like yet another low quality vaporizer according to FC standards, that employs conduction to heat and it has the heating element showing much like the Atmos Raw.. My advice is to steer clear of that one.

If you are getting a Persei, you are set on concentrates, didn't know the persei works with e-juice. But the Persei also has an adapter to use with herbs called Bender. So, perhaps you should check the thread and read about other user's experience with it. From what i gather, it works well but eats a lot of herb compared to others, but don't take my word for it since i'm not very well informed about D9 vaporizers.

The XP has the option to vape tobacco i think but since it isn't out yet, it is unknown how well it will work.

vorrange,
Just to speak up on the issue, the Solo steams right through cold water and dry sieve concentrates. Very satisfying IME.

I'd get a $160 Solo to hold me over while I ponder and wait for the Cera and Ascent. You can always sell the Solo locally or on this forum for probably at least 80% of the original cost.

After reading and learning more, I'm definitely holding out to see the Ascent. It sounds like thats what I'm looking for, if it produces big clouds. Other than that I'm at the INH XP or Cera. Does anyone have an opinion on this company?: http://www.whiterhinoshop.com/vaporizers/

Another e-cig modded to allow for thc oil IMO. Wait for the Ascent or the XP or the Cera.. don't wait for pen vapes 'cause you're better without them.

I understand you want something small. So, get a dedicated oil vaporizer, that way you get something small. And get a dedicated herb vaporizer.

Except for the TET products and D9 products that have modular designs, there is really no point in trying to get a vaporizer that does both because it will do one of the following:

- be good at extractiing oil and not herb
- be good at extracting herb but not oil
- be average at extracting both

This is because oil is usually extracted using a conduction design (hence you see many e-cig mods that look like a pen be used for oil, conduction is a bit less energy demanding.) and herbs are much better extracted in a convection design.

Until now manufacturers have tried to make either modules that are interchangeable (still the best option ATM) or make a hybrid vaporizer that is neither conduction nor convection so, it will usually provide very weak results.

Ill second what Charlie said, I would stick with the solo for now until the verdicts come in, unless you're willing to take that risk of being an early adapter that's your choice ultimately but as we find out here alot, even with the cloud, improvements can be made and issues do come to light in the consumers hands rather than the test dummies for some reason.

Vorrange, what do you think of their liquid vape here: http://www.whiterhinoshop.com/liquid-vaporizer/ Do you think it would be a good vape for enjoying e-juice? I need something to change the way I get nicotine. I do agree with your statements above on extracting oil vs herb.

I have to be honest with you, i don't have direct experience with these kind of vapes other from what i have read here and online.. but, the general idea seems that most of these are low quality and will eventually get ruined in your hands.

I think the Cera looks very promising, if you understand that to experience the full package ( Cera + 3 Cores, Loose Leaf Essential Oil and Liquid E-Juice), you need to spend 300+100+100, so 500$. But you problably won't need any other vaporizer for a while, except if you want some big hits from loose leaf since that is the weakest Cera in comparison to what else is in the market.

D9 products will set you back as much i think as TET products, so i think the best you can do is explore a bit on a good e-juice vaporizer since i don't think you are expecting to spend 500$ to experience a full vapor life. I'm not the best to do that though. ;)

I believe a Persei + Hercules cart will set you back a little under 300$ but the price of oil carts may add up sooner or later...

After reading your post, I see I almost derailed my own thread by going off-topic according to my subject title with the e-juice question. There too, I tend to think oil vs loose vs e-juice, got to keep 'em separated. I'll save that though for another thread. At the same time I am glad I asked because you said this:

If that statement is true about it being weak in the loose leaf department then I don't think I want that one. Inhalater XP vs. Ascent for me at this point.

I own the VB 2.0 and it has taken some modifying to get it to blow some pretty solid vapor clouds. It needs to be re-designed with a convection based heater or modified a little bit further than mine. After spending $500 retail, I expected for this thing to hit like a blunt and a bong with the deluxe attachment. So far the $230 glassware has been useless. :2c:

If you want clouds, you should look for mainly convection vaporizers because convection usually produces more clouds without burning the load prematurely and unevenly.

The Inhalater XP is not able to e-juice i think, it is able to vaporize tobacco. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Vorrange - I am sticking with you on the fact different tools are for different jobs, but in the case of the Ascent, I would buy that one to do herbs and oils, that thing is sleek. I am hoping its great on herbs and pretty good on oils because even in the future, I'd be 90% dry and 10% oil. If the inhalater out performs the ascent then I will fully mod my vb2.0 to a vb2.2! :D
