How could I interface a HerbalAire?

Hello guys,

I don't know much about vapes. My brother is a long time cannabis user, he has started to give some to me ever since I started chemotherapy and it helps me so much I want my own vape.

He has a very extensive setup of tubes that makes it look like he's an easy chemist, but the vapor is usually smoother than when I vape with his volcano, which he loaned to me.

I was wondering if there were ANY vapebong that were noob friendly and created smooth vapor? Something sturdy that won't cost an arm and a leg to repair if it breaks and that can withstand daily use.

I was thinking about the HerbalAire because it seems efficient at extracting medicine but how would I go about interfacing this? I know nothing of such things and my brother is currently unavailable to help me.

You can vape bong with many vaporizers, and from the comments here, the HerbalAire would be a good choice for you. Not terribly expensive, efficient extraction, just drop in a nug and go, and fairly straightforward to use with a bong. I"d suggest checking out some of the many videos on youtube. It blows bags too.

If the question is how hook the HA to standard GonG fittings, it's very easy to do. You have a couple of options. First off, the top of the white cap is designed to directly seal with both common sizes. Just tip or invert the HA and stick it in. The HA, being convection, works fine upside down. You can also slip a short PTFE 'straw' (maybe four inches long) provided into the cap and use the hose also provided to mate up and provide a tube to your WP. Many of us don't like the small bore tube and instead use larger (half inch) tube over the outside of the cap to connect larger bore Silicone tube.

Or you can direct (from the cap) or whip (from the tube) vape as you wish.

This flexibility, combined with reasonable price, ability to vape intact buds and first rate (easy to use) temperature control also make this an excellent recommendation. And for some of us, the auto shut off is also a nice feature.

An LSV (life saber vaporizer) is another option, but the vapor can be harsh at times, even through water. A glass heater cover is really the only that can break (and is readily replaceble) Since you're in Denver, I advise checking craigslist for a bong- lots of inexpensive, locally blown ones.

this is pretty much all there is to it. You could do something similar with the Arizer Solo

My brother has a vape called an Extreme K, or Extreme Q, or something. I think Arizer makes it, so the Solo is theirs too?

I'm in Ontario so Arizer is basically a 25min drive from here according to Google, it would be a lot easier to buy in Canada.

So I could interface a Solo and a Bong like in the video without too much trouble?

Yes you can attach a solo to a bong. If the joint is 18mm though, you will need to create or purchase an adapter. Also it's probably cheaper to buy the solo online; mine was $150 shipped from ebay- in stores they sell for $200+

Yes, gong is short hand for glass on glass. I've done it both ways and I haven't found a lot of difference between going directly from the glass stem of the Arizer Solo to a bong and using a short silicon tube (I use the latest water pipe adapter from Magic Flight for this). I'd recommend silicon over plain plastic because it is more flexible and has a higher tolerance for heat. PuffItUp is an authorized Solo dealer and I believe it's still selling the Solo for $160. Planet Vape sells Solo stems designed to fit with a bong, but I can't personally comment on them one way or the other. Maybe someone else can chime in on whether they are worth getting.

In the interest of time I ordered the Solo directly from Arizer because PlanetVape had no stock. PuffitUp was cheaper but in the states, so in the end I'd ahve waited 2 weeks to receive it and saved maybe 10-20$.

By ordering from Arizer I will have it tomorrow or on Thursday

Now all I need is to find the proper bong! If I were to get the Zob UFO Beaker like in the video, it says 18mm "slide" on their website ... so I need an adapter for my solo?

I think the bubblers look cool too (on the Zob website). What do bubblers have that other bongs do not?

Congratulations on your purchase! As for the adapter, you can buy something like this. Bubblers are just a different shape of bong; a large, can-shaped chamber for the water and percolator, and a mouthpiece on the side.
