Well today was quite an emotional roller coaster. I've had so much bad news lately in general, so when I read this thread today, I was really bummed out and thought both the vV and the mV were lost. The fact that USPS changed the status of the vV sent back for repairs to "undeliverable" didn't help.

But I contacted Dan and he was quick to get back to me. He said they have been making some changes and were doing some site repairs, but that everything is fine. USPS apparently messed up, but Vaporfection will send me a brand new vV2, so I won't have to wait for repairs. He also said they expected a production update on the miVape after the 1st and would let me know.

That's enough for me. I feel greatly relieved.:)
I want to believe them, I just cant. There still is no store available on their website, they still have the christmas sale up but you cant purchase anything by clicking the link. And their master distributers all have the vivape2 for 289$. And on vapeworld its not even like its marked down or on sale, the price is just 289$ now. I really hope im wrong and Dan is telling the truth but I just dont have a good feeling.

On the otherhand im thinking about buying another vivape2 as a backup in case im right and while they are still available. Not definite yet but incase i do i was thinking about black since i alreadyI have the white one and the paintjob is decent but not great. People with black ones how is the paint job any better or still have noticible splotches and blemishes?

The screw looks like Penta-Plus™ http://is.gd/dRZDXk but I could not find any screwdriver for sale over the Internet... Too bad :\

I saw that too. When a webmaster takes a site down for maintenance, he doesn't normally say "the company is fine".

I also feel better. But i asked Dan to refund my mV pre-order. Not that i don't believe that Vaporfection won't deliver the mV but only because i will "feel better" knowing my money is not in suspension in the multiverse...
Good move IMO. No company should accept payment for a product that's not in production and shippiing. Many won't accept orders/payment unless they have product in stock to ship. The miVape was advertised, from the beginning, as if production and shipping was just around the corner. The miVape thread was started here almost 1 1/2 years ago. Vaporfection came out of the gate with vi and miVape advertising that made 'em look like a deep pockets company-really glitzy ads. IMO if those deep pockets were real, they wouldn't have been taking $ all this time for preorders on the miVape. I'd advise caution at this point if you're considering the viVape and certainly wouldn't prepay for the miVape.

I did just that. I now have a white and black vV 2. The paint job on the white one is "better" and looks more neat but the black one looks way more sexy though! You can actualy see tiny scrathes everywhere! I'm glad i did the move because i really love this vaporizer and if ever something happen to the main one i always have a vV backup and that's a good feeling overall.

Very sad news today. Here's a copy of an e-mail i received from Dan who used to work fro Vaporfection.


I hope this e-mail finds you well. I'm not sure if you know, but I am not longer working at Vaporfection. There are some major problems with management and funding. I cannot get into too much over e-mail but I would encourage you to maybe charge back your CC for your miVape order because the chances of it being produced any time in the near future is very very slim. I wanted to give you a heads up in case you were trying to contact me. This is my personal e-mail so feel free to get back to me here.
Sorry this message comes with bad news, but until the company can revert back to the original owner/creator I will not be a part of Vaporfection. (Lots of litigation starting to happen right now).
Let me know if you have questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

You didn't let FC down man, you just voiced your opinion to the best of your knowledge and experience.

You had no way of knowing exactly what was going on and i'm sure people realize that.

You still have a Cloud and a HI, i'm sure they'll look after you. ;)

Thanks much! Nice of you to say. Yes, I'm quite fortunate to have other awesome vapes. I feel like taking my viVape outside and reenacting that scene from Office Space.

But...I'd rather not piss away $350

Apart from blowing of some steam, i say there is no point since you could be blowing some blue vapour. :nod:

I feel the same Vapinghole. I really believed in Vaporfection and the mV. I really wanted to spread the word and tell everyone how fantastic their product(s) are (were). Ah man...

FWIW, I e-mailed Dan again, and a customer sevice agent replied and informed me that Dan was no longer with VSI. He/she also said Vaporfection was "moving forward with plans for significant expansion." I wrote them back and explained that I was worried I would lose both the vV and the money for the mV. They replied with:

We are sending the brand new replacement viVape 2 for your missing returned unit. The miVape has not been cancelled and is an active project, however for your peace of mind, you can receive a refund, by simply asking your credit card company to do a charge back, and they will immediately issue the credit to your account. We'll will notify you when we're ready to ship and you can reorder. Thanks for your patience. YFAV

While I'm as unhappy as everyone else about this stuation, I do prefer that answer to no answer at all. I probably cannot get a charge back, since I used a debit card, but I can live with that (for now, at least). The mV was 30% off when I ordered, and the most important thing for me right now is to get aworking vV. I'm still hopefull I will.

I always thought that it was bad company policy to accept money from pre-orders to fund current projects and R&D but many companies do this as a normal business practice.

The risk is exactly what is happening to Vaporfection right now.. first it was the Shilling, then the promises about release dates that go back a year IIRC and now we are looking at the possibility of no mivape and no company.

And yet, the answer from the costumer service remains the same as ever.
