User Cymbaline posted this link to a website that sells an interesting unit. It looks to me like it's a somewhat self-contained BHO extraction rig with the body for herbs and the bottom dish to catch the oil. It also provides the equipment to mix your BHO with to create a tincture (similar to e-juice) which can be vaporized with their proprietary pen-styled vaporizer. The set sells for $299.

Thoughts?

I'm worried that BHO is being introduced to the public... someone's gonna be stupid about it and attempt an extraction inside, they're going to blow a room up, and then they'll say something like "I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET HIGH ON THE WEEDS IM SORRY" and... well, that just doesn't look good for the medical/legalization movements.

On the other hand, I'm really interested in just the extraction unit. It's already set up for me, what with my arthritis-like disease, little things like not having to hold the can pressed and not having to worry about my hands getting stiff from it are big pluses. From reading the instructions, I see that the highest it recommends is 21g if your material isn't of best quality. If it's good shit, it recommends 7 grams. This seems like a nice "out of the box" setup... but there's no way in hell I can ever justify paying that for it. Ever. I can get the large Honeybee Extractor, a good amount of bud, and a can of Vector 5x and get enough oil to forget about it.

Also, some information from Cymbaline regarding the blend they use to mix the BHO into:

The "EJmix" they include says it's a blend of PG and PEG400,300,200. Definitely a bit thicker than PG, have never heard of PEG300 or 200 in juice yet.

Hey guys, just to share my experience with the Liquidizer, the biggest problem in the vape market right now is that everyone is focused on pushing their own version of vaping hardware (a bunch of copycat ecigs) while ignoring the central problem:

Great e-liquid

There really is no mystery to an atomizer, they are wires that get hot and boils glycols/oils, and the fact is the majority of e-liquids sold is water down, inconsistent and ridiculously overpriced.

I would say the principle reason ecigs fail most people is shitty liquid and bad taste.

The fact is that if you want something done right you have to do it yourself and with the Liquidizer DIY butane oil extractor not only does the design make butane oil extraction safe (you are never physically near butane vapor) but it includes all the tools and liquid mix you need to turn any herb into a ecig extract.

The vape they include is a 510 with a hand modded cartomizer bare-wick for direct dripping of concentrate for one-hitter vapes. You can dilute for use with regular cartomizer tank although even diluted oil will kill the typically atty pretty fast. Great package, worth it for the extractor alone, I’ve made snus, hops, cloves, pipe tobacco, and mint juice from the dried plants and the real thing doesn’t even compare to what’s out there. Make your own natural liquid, test it out with a hit from the bare wick, then figure out what you like, but don’t buy the bullshit systems you need “special” carts for, that's the ripoff is having someone else control your supply.

Me too. That seems like a pretty nice set up. Not that expensive if it really works.

Am I missing something here but there does not appear to be any method for vac purging? That's the hard part right? do i really need a $200 clamp to push the butane bottle through a tube? Again I didnt read up all that much about it so I could be wrong. I do think there could be value in an all in one extraction/vac purging rig but this doesn't appear to be it...

I feel the same like you... at first I thought it was good, and then I realize that this is just a clamp for 300$ (not 200$ !), and I can easily make it by myself for almost nothing...
For me, it's just a good idea to recover

I very much agree.

I second. Plus there are many other safer ways to make extractions.

I never made extraction in my life.... but what I had read on the forum seems to be that the butane extraction is the best..... do you think alcohol extraction is the same, speaking about quality and quantity ? Or possible other system that I ignore all ?

When I first saw the pic I wasn't sure if it was modified bumper jack or a caulking gun . . . BUT if you read the instructions they explain how you can hang it out the window for use in apartment living . . . wow.
that's crazy ha.. i'm surprised they said that..

Hi Cymbaline and thanks for sharing this. I'am not really sure to understand the difference between the Infinite Wick and the standard clearomizer cartridge, could you explain a little bit please ?

Also anyone has tried to make MJ extract with this thing ? Do you think it will be possible ?

If this things works well for MJ will it not be the ULTIMATE portable solution to vaporize outside ?!!!!!
Bye bye Solo, Pax, Pinnacle, MFLB, WISPR, IOlite, VaporGenie, etc.... and welcome to e-juice and e-cig !!

I don't see too much people here, why i'am the one to be excited ? I know nothing about mixing extract MJ for making e-juice, is it something that is easy and usual in the US ?

I think because most of those who have explored extracts and ejuice mixtures have found that vaping pure clean high quality concentrates by themselves i.e. systems like the Thermovape and Delta9vapes makes for the most consistent and satisfying experience. The omicron started out with a recipe to mix your bho into a Ejuice substrate for vaporizing then later moved onto designing carts for pure concentrates. Everything has its place though and there are certain advantages to using spiked Ejuice like flavors to mask smell among others.

Thanks Puffers,
in term of taste which of the two (E-juice vs Concentrates) do you prefer ?

I have read all the manual and i think they have a good solution and safe ! But i hadnt understand the process of their e-cig until i read the last page :

.... "for the best experience, a small wick is used to vaporize EJuice a drop at a time with a flame cleaning in-between each drop. Using a longer wick provides a longer interval between refills, but a "burnt" taste still accumulates quickly ...."

So you have to fill their e-cig one drop at a time, i dont' know how many puffs you have with one drop, but i'am not sure if it will be convenient for a daily usage...

If other people have tried E-juice with MJ oil/extract AND vaped MJ oil/extract directly with Omicron/Persei
i will be pleased to hear their comment !

Hello and thank you for your interest in the Liquidizer. We've begun an official thread here so please post any further inquiries there and we'll be more than happy to respond.

Describing the difference between a standard cartomizer and infinite wick as well as the extract vs. extract + e-juice debate goes right to the heart of our product.

The Liquidizer package is geared toward creating concentrated e-liquids. It can easily be used to create pure extracts, that merely requires cutting short the mixing step, but we feel that liquids offer a superior experience.

As another member pointed out, extracts and ejuice mixtures have been offered in the past without the best results. The reason is mainly that these were diluted mixtures that were directly used with existing e-cigarettes as though they were nicotine juices. The problem with this is that diluted mixtures take several inhales to satisfy, which proved frustrating. Typical e-cigarette atomizers are designed as disposable parts, they usually fail before the liquid cartridge is fully used, which is not a problem when dealing with cheap nicotine juice, but with expensive artisanal herbal liquids it's heartbreaking to lose even a drop!

In offering the mini-vaporizer and infinite wick in our package, we are just providing our customers with the simplest, smallest and most reliable tool to begin exploring extracts.

Using the infinite wick is best described as "liquid dabbing." The extract to juice ratio we recommend is 70:30 to 50:50 so there's as much if not more raw extract than juice. In this scenario, although a drop doesn't sound like very much, it packs the full punch of a heavy dab. A drop produces about two very heavy inhales. The flavor then fouls as only heavy residues remain. By heating the coil to a red glow, this residue is oxidized away, the wick is return to a brilliant white, and you are ready to apply another drop in under ten seconds. Even customers with very high tolerances report being fully satisfied with one to two drops. Although manually applying a drop is a step we hope to do away with in the future, the advantages of such as system are numerous:
  • We use the smallest battery and cartridge (both in length and thickness) available on the market. All other systems are inevitably larger. When you are in public size is principally what guarantees the ultimate portable solution.
  • Our mini-vaporizer is identical in terms of its appearance to the most common e-cigarettes on the market.
  • Convenience of liquids. Dabbing with extracts requires oil vials, scraping tools, application rods, etc. With a liquid, a dropper or syringe is a no mess, no waste, easily controlled dispenser and storage in one.
  • No 5 second warm up times. Vapor is instant within a second of pushing the power button.
  • Easy purging. Removing the residual butane from solid extracts is labor intensive and time consuming with heating and even vacuum pumps used. Using EJmix radically drops the viscosity of the extract and the butane escapes within minutes from the liquid, like gas from a soda.
  • E-liquid is a universal medium. Using pure extracts require specific vaporizers of which there are only an expensive few. There exist dozens of e-cigarettes models and e-liquid can be applied to any of them.
  • Taste and long-term experience. Vaporizers you load up with a large amount of raw extract will experience a decline in the taste and quality of the vapor over time. This is inevitable. When you heat an extract it doesn't just disappear into a vapor leaving nothing behind. When you heat it, you vaporize certain lighter molecules, but you leave behind heavy waxes and residues. What tastes amazing at first with your golden oil, after a few inhales, will start building up a dark black residue on the heating element. This will darken and foul the taste. The vapor will still satisfy as unheated oils are still being vaporized, but with every inhale, the accumulated "gunk" casts a larger and larger shadow of "funk" on the flavor, until finally the user has to clean the whole thing out, and in the process, loses some fine oil that's now mixed in the bad. With the infinite wick this doesn't happen. Because of the red-hot auto-cleaning between drops, every use is as fresh and delicious as the first. And because you are dispensing the drops one at a time, there is no waste of oil.
That's why we agree that for outdoor vaporizer use, e-juice + ecig is the ultimate solution, it is the smallest and simplest possible unit, you are identical to thousand of other ecig users and there is total user freedom in customizing your juice and ecig to suit your preference.

We hope to rehabilitate the reputation of extracts + e-juices mixtures that have also suffered due to user frustration at creating a stable blend. The use of propylene glycol (PG) or vegetable glycerin typical used for nicotine juices seem to work when heated, but at room temperatures and after hours of standing time, the oil and base will separate out due to incompatible densities and solubilities. In a cartridge it causes only the base to vaporize off while the oil lingers behind. The Electric Juice formula we provide (EJmix) is finely balanced to the same molecular weight and solubility as natural oils, creating an instant stable and permanent blend that never separates under any conditions with only minimal stirring and certainly without extreme measures such as mixing with a dremel for 15 minutes that users suggest in some boards.

If you have any other questions, please respond as we'd love to discuss the matter further. Only kindly do so in our official thread so all discussions are in one place for the benefit of everyone. Thank you again for your interest, we hope our response has been of some help!
