Underdog Log Vapes

Am I the only one who wants to see that cute little doggy actually using the vape? I envision the little dog surrounded by three big, tough, scary dogs who look ready to compete... but our little Underdog is unafraid, as he has access to his vape...:)

... and a smile on his face, of course...

Hey Dave, man it's been a long time since I been here. 5 heart attacks and 7 stints later, I'm back. Just wonder Dave if you could build me a cocobolo unit shaped like the walnut curve # 13448 Love the shape and color of these two. When ever , I know your swamped, please check on it and the cost if possible. No hurry and thanks so much.
Regards

Hey BUZZHEAD - we can certainly make a piece like that *if* we have a big enough piece of Cocobolo. I'll put it on Dave's list to take a look in the shop tomorrow for you.

So sorry to hear about the heart attacks and stints. I hope you're doing better now! We'll try to get an UD in your hands soon as possible.

Finally able to put my UD down long enough to say thanks for a great vape. It's been a worthy successor to my PD which has finally been retired due to the amounts of rattle it has now. The 14mm WonG has been the bees knees (I've never ran a vape through water). I do have one question though, and this could be my imagination / the nature of the super thin twig I have. But has anybody else noticed their dog getting hotter at night? Mine seems to get a boost in heat the later it gets even causing combustion a few times (quite surprising). Is this something to worry about?

Hey guys nice sticker suggestions so far.. keep 'em coming, we'll give it a few more days before we make a decision and put in an order. I think we'll select one from the submissions and have that and our classic sticker reprinted, I wish we could do all of them but it's not in the budget. ;)

@ BUZZHEAD - hey man, long time no talk.. 5 heart attacks & 7 stints!? You don't do anything half way huh? Glad to hear you're still kicking, hard to hold an UD down! I haven't found any Cocobolo big enough to make a piece like that yet but I have one or two remaining stash places to check so I'll look in those tomorrow and see.

@ Buildozer - 50% huh? That's awesome, that's what we like to hear!

@ UserLain - Thanks for posting, always happy to see people pop into the forum with their happy updates. Your Pup very well might run hotter at night because the stock power supply is an unregulated one and it's output will run higher when the power grid is less taxed (ie: nights, holidays, weekends, etc).. so no, it's probably not your imagination and it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

So, as usual lots of stuff going on around here. Working on a bunch of custom jobs, working finishing up some equipment work in the shop, still processing and sorting wood (and buying more of course) and still trying to find time to cram in R&D as well. I'm a busy Dog..

I'm working on a refresh right now in case anyone is wondering, not a huge one by any means probably only 20-25 pieces but I think there will be a little bit of everything in there so hopefully everyone is happy.

Alright enough rambling for now, time to shut things down for the night.. lots to do tomorrow. :peace:

Well, I just bought my first piece of "real" glass - the SSFG Travel Beaker. I was going to try something else, but then I realized SSFG is based in my own state! Gotta' represent the East Coast. On its way now. And.... for this glass, I would need a 19mm WonG, right?

I greatly appreciate it Dave. I repaired my old clunker (PD). Solder joint come apart. But is operating again. I'm sure it will hold me over till I get a new UD. If you can find the cocobolo wood, I'll just simply make another choice. Oh I was thinking, have you ever thought about making these logs where one could unscrew the wood piece in half to clean. Not sure how you could thread the wood tho. Foo for thought. :)
Thanks again

Most likely. Check your receipt/order page, and the downstem should mention what it accepts. Most are either 18/18 or 18/14, so as long as it's not reduced the larger should work fine. Worse case if you can't find that, I'm sure SSFG could answer that via e-mail. Plus, there are always adapters, that's what I ended up doing before the 14mm came out LOL.

Nice glass btw.

Hey guys, kinda quiet around here.. you all too fogged to talk?

I'm working on the next batch of Pups right now, hopefully they'll be done in just over a week.. just in time too as it looks like the website is getting rather low. :brow:

Been working on some awesome custom jobs but unfortunately the people commissioning them don't want them shared so you'll have to take my word for it. Turning out custom jobs in about 4 weeks for most, with some more wild ones taking as much as 6 weeks, just in case anyone is curious.

it's been real foggy over here for me. extremely cold on top of that. for the past few nights, the temperature has been hovering around zero degrees Fahrenheit

thankfully my UD has been good at keeping my hands warm and has been real nice to just hold whenever i'm in my room. real jealous of you Dogs who live in the warmer climates right about now...

Do folks say why they don't want the pictures shared? Never heard of such a thing!

Alright UDs - we are going to be doing more website server maintenance starting now and will be shutting off the ability to order through the website until it's finished. If you need to order something, please contact us.

Sorry for the inconvenience! We should be done by tomorrow evening.

Yeah, it actually comes up more often than one might think. :ninja:

Sometimes it's something like a person holds, say, a federal appointment and doesn't want something that might be in their home or office to be pictured on the internet (let alone a website like this one lol) and all the implications that might associated with such.

Sometimes people are just very private, very paranoid or both and don't want anything about them shared anywhere, anytime for any reason.

Sometimes people want to make sure than they have a piece that's truly a unique one-of-a-kind and so don't want it shown publicly, that way they can feel more safe that it's less likely to be duplicated. Sometimes someone will go a step further and request that we don't EVER make a similar piece again, which I'm more than happy to do if they're willing to pay. :brow:

Very nice shreadhead!

What kind of lager did you use for your black and tans? Looks like it's kinda light to be 'tan', no? :p

I like using the swagger as the mouthpiece, too. It feels right.

I guess I can understand this. You gotta get tougher, though! It's your hard work and your portfolio! Curious eyes are dying to see all these pieces!

It's a little light because it's cider! Crown floats we call them here! Devastator is king with swagger and dog I find. Perfect big hits every time :D
