Discontinued Thermovape Cera

Question about the EO cores. Will PG work well with these? I noticed back OF mentioned the E-LIQ core was recommended for his backup/PG dedicated. I was hoping the one EO core would work well with all oils, including PG. How much of a difference in quality can we expect with PG between the two cores?

Have the same question. In the videos Noah was using the EO core with PG and it seemed pretty darn effective.

Hello Thermovape or OF any tips I feel like it is taking too long to heat up a load. EO cart does not seem to be getting hot enough.

My bet is it's getting plenty hot, you're just not melting the goods into the reservoir well enough to get vapor. How much do you have loaded? Is it all below the top plate?

As I understand all cores are checked several times for proper power. If the power is right, the heat has to be.

Yes, 'too effective' perhaps? That's the point, the reason Tim suggested the lower power to me. Many guys turn the voltage on Omicron carts down to 3.0 Volts trying to slow them down some with PG.

Tim has said the power on EL carts has been raised since he recommended the change to me, but hasn't said what the new power is AFAIK.

Ahhhh cant say im sorry to hear that snart, i was regretting my persei with hercules order for a second. Cant wait to try THAT fucker out! IMO simple is better What exactly is the problem like? no heat, or heat but no vapor? i was skeptical about the location of the heating element as wax can drip past it without vaping

The load was too big and stuck above the top ceramic plate thank you OF.

Yer welcome, Bro. New trail your on, bound to be a false turn or two along the way. Keep at it, the others will be using what you find to speed their journey.....hopefully very soon.

FWIW I had some trouble getting it going at first, but once filled and primed well it's run like the proverbial top. I had the added advantage in that even though Tim had blasted mine back to sanitary I knew the cart worked. I'm confident you'll get yours going and going very very well.

That's it. You've lost your Cera privileges. :D

Lucky he didn't use his real name, isn't it? The 'Cera Cops' will have a tough time running him to ground....much more so if he gets lift off.

The problem is, I think, resolved. Not melted down far enough.

It seems you have a misunderstanding of how Cear oil carts work. The concentrate doesn't "drip past" anything (or it's not supposed to) the top plate and liners for the chamber are porous, like a dry dish sponge. The melted concentrate get absorbed into this and evaporates off from inside the material as the heater heats the whole lot.

Much like liquid Naphtha is absorbed into the batting in a Zippo lighter.

Any loose concentrate gets sucked up like dipping your necktie in your coffee. Done right no liquid makes it out the vent holes in the bottom. That takes a big overload.

Can I be on the wall of fame too? Pretty please with hash oil on top!! :D

we shall see... ;)

Hey OF,

Is bubble still as 'sweet' at LL's16watts??? TIA.

NN

Bubble will work great in the LL!

Tim - with the hotter core, does this mean combustion is still possible, like the T1? If so, any idea how long it takes to reach combustion temps - so we can avoid it?

That was the biggest issue for me with the T1 - I combusted on my first attempt. The Evo was too conservative in the other direction, so hopefully the Cera is somewhere in between - but either doesn't combust or makes it very difficult.

I still havnt been able to combust in a Cera, at all!

Hello,

I really want to thanks OF and Tim for keeping us informed the last 2 months ...of excitation....Wait is over !.....Long Life Cera !.... Sorry for people who cancelled orders....

Tim, do you think skins and 2900Mah Batteries for the Cera will be available in February ?
How can i do if i want a Home Charging kit for 4 batteries, it doesn't exist ?

Is there some "510 compatible adapter" piece coming ?

And will it be possible to use the actual LL Cartridge with the upcoming mini Cera ?

Thanks again Tim, i am sure that it's the most ingenious portable vape at this time, minimum electronics = minimum failures, removable battery = no need to send your cera for changing battery, simple to use = user friendly ==> in my opinion it has REALLY been built to last ....

Only problem is that i can't order now ($$$$$) maybe (i hope) in March ...

OK SO GUYS (and Jam) NOW WE ARE ALL WAITING PICS, VIDEOS, BATTERY LIFE TESTS, REVIEWS, COMPARE WITH MFLB, PAX, SOLO, AND PHOTOS OF yours A-lready V-aped H-erbs...... !!!!!!!!!!!!!! until where this baby can toast our herbs ?

Prove me that it's the last f***ing vape that i will have to buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skins should be arriving any day now, and we have been talking to our battery manufacture almost every day trying to get a batch in.

Im almost positive the Mini will use all the same cores, just a different body. but don't quote me on that as its just in the preliminary design phase.

just placed my pre-order!!!

stainless steel, LL, wall/car charger, & 3 batts!!!

LET THE AGONY BEGIN!

Hey OF man thanks for all the words of advice, i went ahead and picked up 1 more battery than you suggested

Congrats!

It's so nice to see things getting back to normal.:tup::clap:

Hi Tim, welcome back. Say hi to Zeki for me.

I have a question.

Are these the (current, shipping) values for the three Cera cores:

Leaf - 16W
Oil - 14W
Juice - 10W

(and can I assume that's at 3.7v)?

I'd say on average the cores will be:

LL - 16W
EO - 14W
LQ - 16W

I think in theory it would be possible to disassemble the carts to swap the heating coil so you could reduce power manually, but...
Would you really want to risk bricking one or both of your carts, (as well as ruining any chance of claiming on your warranty any time in the future, I'm pretty sure there are anti tamper seals)
I would get the full power cart they are shipping as standard and experiment with it and if you find it not to your liking then, send it into TET and I'm sure they will re-wind it to any power you want. Or ask if they will wind a lower one to start?
Also I'm sure they know what they are doing and I don't think it will be too bad for bat life, (although I admit this is an outright guess)

We should know soon enough...

We can not warranty any cores that have been opened up, We assemble them so that we will know if all the fasteners were taken out and if the chamber is taken off the base.

If you want us to re-wind it however just send it in and for $15 + shipping we can rewind you a core into any reasonable power level that we offer.

I hope at least one of the preorders got the oil core...

That's all correct but you don't need two Cera bodies unless you plan on letting someone else use the other.

From what I've seen, the oil cart will give significantly more vapor than the LL cart, and if it's easier on the batteries too well that's just gravy :)

There are many pre-order EO carts. the EO is a real performer!!!
Hello Thermovape or OF any tips I feel like it is taking too long to heat up a load. EO cart does not seem to be getting hot enough.

With the EO you must make sure that your concentrate is loaded up into the heating element. The first load is the most critical, we like to describe it like how a sponge holds water. If you have a dry crispy sponge (like how the ceramic is when new) and hold it under water it will take a little while before it starts to absorb the water, once it has some water in it (even if its very little) it will soak up more water even quicker.

On a fresh load i will fill the top cavity of the cart with oil, then heat it up and blow into the top to force the oil down. With thicker concentrates you may need to heat it up more to get it viscous enough to go through the ceramic wafer on top.

Give us a call and ask for me (Tim) and i can help you get yours loaded up.

Cheers,
Tim

lol wow...how long have you been lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce?

Snart, I believe the ceramic plate in there has to absorb a certain amount of oil for its "break in" like the revolution. So this might cause lower vapor production initially as well. OF, can probably confirm that better than I can.

Edit: Tim beat me to it :D

Cool, thanks for the additional info. Let me change my order back to EO then, 14 Watts in oil is flat out scary to me when it gets rolling, since it's radiation heating, hotter is gonna be scarier. Let the young guys try if first......

Edit: Tim beat me to it :D

Yeah, that happens a lot doesn't it? Sucker has the 'home court advantage' and uses it well.....

Then again, he makes great vapes so I suggest we keep him?

I was using a thicker concentrate so it took some extra heat to get it going . but oh boy shes rolling now !

That last part I expect to hear over and over and over in the coming weeks. I bet we don't get tired of hearing it for a long time.....

Thanks for the feedback, the web.cheers are going up all over town.

Sorry for the confusion OF, i got too caught up with our conversation to remember to tell you about the current LQ core.....

Hey, no worries. Confusion can be good. "Out of chaos comes order" they say. Lucky it all got sorted out before I ended up with hotter expecting cooler..... That would have kept me mighty confused for a while.

I hear what you say about Cera slipping the leash with a well charged oil cart. Mortals need fear, even the likes of Noah seems to have real respect for it's powers to leave you legless.

I also think you've just dropped the bottom out to the used nail market. Those torches and glowing stuff kinda kill the buzz for me anyway, that stuff merits careful watching too if you want to avoid explaining to the ER guys why you're grinning so much with such nasty burns.

Lots of happy Forum Members coming up. Collectively I bet we get this project rolling big time. I can hardly wait until Pipes and the rest of those malcontents get to work on it. I'm particularly optimistic about where the Cera oil cart will find new uses. That's one mighty powerful tool for good you've got on your hands there.

Now, to repeat the magic with the Ti parts........

And make a pile more, of course, once the good word gets out I bet a lot of fence sitters jump down and try to race to the front of the line. Bummer on the guys that cancelled lately, hopefully the back orders will get serviced in short order and 'ship from stock' becomes possible. Then the fun with options can start in earnest.

Let me add my congratulations to 'the guys', you done good and we all know it now. Secret's out.

That's a good test thank you! I remember I put my very first dart through the paces (awful, cheap, thick oils) and that's why I found out so quickly how it struggled, bubbled, and gurgled if it wasn't pristine & clean...

I know it's tricky with a $100 cart but the most valuable info to people who have to plan their budget is longevity testing. If early adopters with oil carts really get into it and make it their 24/7 vape we can expose any issues (or verify it's improvement on the Dart's lifespan ) early on :2c:

I know it's tough... but do you think you can... vape more?

Pardon my ignorance, but LQ is what now??

I believe he's referring to the 'juice' (e-cig) version. Sometimes called EL, which is confusing since oil is a liquid extract.

I've been using 'herb', 'oil' and 'juice' to try to keep it straight in my mind....hasn't always worked as you see.

Remember, TV shut down the AVA (e-cig) line as well, Cera is the 'all things to all people' machine now.

So, only mortals need fear the cera, a deity (like Jesus) should be good? And the cera destroys the nail maket? Then...

Jesus beats Cera, Cera beats nails, nails beat Jesus

Quick q about the LQ cart, I ordered mine with intentions of using it mainly for e-juice, I was wondering how it would do with an occasional eo(not PG) ran through it? Would the different pore size affect how well it works very much(in comparison to the EO cart)?
