Discontinued Thermovape Cera

I see. You think the power comes from the body. It does not.

If you have a Cera LL vaporizer and a Cera Oil vaporizer side by side the power will depend on how the LL cartridge and Oil cartridge were made.

If you switch them around the LL cartridge won't all of a sudden have a lower watt.

If you wanted to switch between a slower warm up time and a quicker warm up time you would need multiple LL cartridges.

Thanks PB, I think I'm up to speed now :) I was just wondering if what I said could be an option mainly because I'm from Belgium and sending my cera back to TET to redo the heating coil would almost cost me as much as just ordering another cera all together (shipping, duty etc)
By the way, I'm not cencerned about battery life or heat up times what so ever, I just thought it would be cool to have those options on hand if I ever wanted to.

Soon enough I will be too busy trying out the Cera so by the time I'm back on earth again TET will have lots of add ons, screw ins and click ons available.

Thanks again !

EDIT: PB but didn't OF say he changed his order from EO to Liquid because Eliquid ran at 10watts?

Lol, I shouldn't be talking. No idea where I'm pulling this from ha.

Double edit... Sorry, or did Tim announce that after OF ...might...of said that?

Yup, that's exactly how it happened. A week or two back Tim suggested the lower power EL core for my inteneded use, Pure Gold. Since then the power has been raised, he didn't say to what, but my guess is to the same power level?

And has been said, the actual power used is set by the core heater itself, not the body or battery.

I think in theory it would be possible to disassemble the carts to swap the heating coil so you could reduce power manually, but...

Actually that's not possible. The cores are captive on the heater coil (it goes through the center and down the side) trying to modify the heater after it's been fired up the first time will wreck it for sure. I'd leave them bitty little screws be.

USA USA USA!

Do you have the oil core installed on the cera in this picture!!?

I hope at least one of the preorders got the oil core...
if I switch the LL cart from the LL cera to the oil cera, will I have more battery life with virtually the same vape results?
That's all correct but you don't need two Cera bodies unless you plan on letting someone else use the other.

From what I've seen, the oil cart will give significantly more vapor than the LL cart, and if it's easier on the batteries too well that's just gravy :)

Yup! I got the LL, EO, and EL carts coming!! Only trouble is that I'm in Canada....might see it next week sometime.

Is that not the battery from TET ? IF not, iam also interested how that battery performs and what the brand and specs ?
Thanks

It looks very much like 'the factory battery' but the label is inward. The color is right and the jacket dress on the minus end. It looks like the one they gave me to test, the ones I've seen boxes of at TV.

So that might or is the 2250 mah?and OF how well did it perform ? 20 or 30 minute runtime ?
Thanks

Yes, if it's the CGR18650CH I have. I think it is. Yes, it's shorter run time than the 2900 but not by a lot. Actual time depends on the core power, of course. 25 minutes with the hotter core might be a good number to use until a better one comes along.

Question about the EO cores. Will PG work well with these? I noticed back OF mentioned the E-LIQ core was recommended for his backup/PG dedicated. I was hoping the one EO core would work well with all oils, including PG. How much of a difference in quality can we expect with PG between the two cores?

Sorry if this has been discussed previously but will Cera benefit from any battery safety devices, or the Kick from Evolv? The 2 Cents for Safety fuse?

Don't know about the kick or boost circuits,

but you shouldn't need extra safety with the 2250mah (grey battery) it's a hybrid imr:
(Hit play, the grey battery is tested first)

If the video is accurate, it's actually safer than the "safe chemistry" IMR's!

I doubt it. Protection devices will add to voltage drop, heating where we don't want it by robbing power from where we do want the heat (in the core). All of the boost circuits I've seen need a ground connection (to the side) they can't get from the ceramic tube. Even if they would work (like you provide the ground) increasing the voltage past where TV designed it to be is not going to help. If you do that to the 'maximum power possible before failure' 16 Watt cart guess what you're inviting by going to higher power......

I'd stay clear. Try it as designed. This stuff was all considered in the design process, IMO they did their homework.

Let me know how the batteries off to the left work for you. If they're the ones I think they are, I have a set in the mail right now. Also would love pics of EVERYTHING!
Orbitronic 3100 they are a little long for the tenergry charger so I can tell you I probably need a different charger for them .

Ah okay, I ordered the 2900's with charger. Should be here soon, still have about two weeks on the Cera anyways.
