Im very sorry Your Highness, and everyone else here, as we are in the middle of a cart update at the moment... and there may be intermitten outages. Our site is secured with 256bit RapidSSL cert, but our webmaster prob turned it off temporarily during the update. If you are concerned about site security, you can always manually put HTTPS:// in the url to be redirected to the secure section of the site from any page.

The google captcha code for our cart started having issues several days back, and we are in the process of resolving this matter, so we had to turn off the account sign-up page's direct link from homepage for the time being. What you can do is add what you'd like to purchase in your cart, and when you checkout, there will be the option to signup or complete payment as a guest. We found that this was the only way at the moment to avoid seeing this error, even though the google captcha itself was already removed from the account login page. But if you go from the cart >> checkout >> account login/signup, there are no issues with this captcha error. Not being an PHP expert myself, I really dont know why this is happening or how to quickly resolve it... so we are relying on our webmaster to update the cart in order to make it fully functional again.

we are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to all members, please accept our appologies while we make the necessary adjustments to bring our site back to 100%.... we thank you for your understanding!

Your quick reply has eased my concerns. Order placed!

Combusted again, held it for 4s then drew too slowly I guess but it combusted within a sec after I started drawing.

I just don't see how you can get any indication, you basically have to pay attention and count every bowl, not really how I like to relax tbh...

Not to be a smartass, but someone else said their second screen wasn't installed out of the box. They kept combusting too... Worth a mention?

Got it today and going trough the learning curve. Getting there, First impressions are looking good.
Couple questions,
Is it normal for the glass top to rattle? I tightened the top as much as I can. Am I missing a washer or something?
Is it normal for the screen to get black spots as the beginning of heater break in? Looks like burnt hot spots. Assuming it is how it works in but a little concerned. Can take a pic if needed. I know it is going to turn as it oxidises but just thought it would be a little more uniform.
Thanks,
Pipes

Hey Pipes,

Rattling glass is normal. Can you take a pic of the screen? Mine did discolour as normal, but the sound of black spots alarms me a bit.

Very interested in your overall impressions Pipes.

Please compare it to other vapes you might have, especially flavor and vapor production if you can. Thanks mate!

I had mine for about 3-4 days before my glass started to rattle. I took the section apart, it's very hard to un-thread the first time, cleaned it up and put it back together to find it was still rattling. I kept messing around with it, loosening/tightening, and it stopped. As for the screen, I do have some discoloration, but no black spots.

Mine did too, from the start, the bezel wasn't screwed all the way down, I could get my thumbnail into the gap (that FV confirmed off line should not be there). Mine was on good a proper, it wouldn't go either way. It took two strap wrenches to shift. A drop of oil and a few assemblies without the crystal and it all went together tight, no o'rings or gaskets except on the bezel threads.

The other day I went to unscrew it again to clean and it's time for the strap wrenches again when I get serious about opening it up. I boiled it with the cover on and called it good.

I ordered an FV and am now eagerly awaiting delivery. I decided I still love the VB2.0 especially after experimenting with oil. Also, it is very efficient with plant material with the small chamber (perfect for a single session) and stir tool. But I very much look forward to the FV's larger chamber and quick cool-off for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

OK, now you have me a little worried. Now when I received I immediately put the batteries on the charger. Tic Toc Tic couldn't wait for the Toc. I figured giving an IMR a shot. Loaded up about 1/4 bowl and pulled the trigger and sipped for vapor which happened in 3 seconds. Got into a pulsing thing happening but never got any great vapor and was cautious not to keep trigger on more then 5-6 seconds. Stopped the effort after a quick combustion spurt happened. Put aside as just figured I'd wait for the factory batteries charge and I had some other things to do anyway.
Funny trying to recall the events exactly as they happened but important in this case as can shut the case on IMR use if this is an abnormal effect.
So, after the factory battery finished charging I gave another shot and honestly never noticed if this was already done at this point.
The factory battery was much easier to control as vapor would start at 6 seconds for me rather then 5. Went through the bowl in learning mode and getting a harness on the technique. In changing over to another bowl is when I noticed this:

I honestly though it is just working in as I know how ss goes when heated red hot. As in the ecig world for making wicks etc.
Oh well, best to know this stuff now as I'm sure I'm not the only dumb ass to give er a shot. :mental:

I'm hoping no real damage is done as performance is still in the learning stages.

So far doing the wait til you see vapor (6 sec my count) pull and release switch is safest to get a small cloud.

The glass will rattle unless you tighten it fully. Using only finger force—and I'm not particularly strong—I can tighten mine until there's no rattling. When you think it's tight, there's actually about an eighth to a quarter twist left to go. It becomes easier with repetition.

The bottom non-removable screen discoloured unevenly in mine. There were black spots but I never found them disturbing. My fear for the bottom screen is clogging and those spots didn't appear to be clogged to me. Having said that, mine is right now head down in bowl of ISO. I want to see what effect that will have on the spots.

Edit: Pipes: Those look like combustion carbon to me. Mine were not as black. I had a few deliberate combustion attempts and I bet that's what caused my spots as well.

I agree with Pak...I have those same spots on my screen after combusting. Still works fine.

About tightening the top window cap... Try loubricating the o-ring a little bit... It will tighten effortlesly after that. At least mine did.

Mine too. But a few weeks later it refused to budge again? Not a big deal.

Thanks guys, feel better now. Will keep an eye on it.

BTW, the VaporGenie stem does work well. Just had to shorten it up a bit and add the shrink tubing. Found 1 layer fits loose and 2 layers fits really tight. A little short but can stand on either end.

This is no problem, and as Pak said earlier, carbon spots. They will not affect performance whatsoever, and is not indication of any damage... Just a stain on the screen, and with repeated use, you are going to get more of them.... please dont be concerned.

You can also clean the element by doing a dry burn run for 10 seconds, but I dont think it will help in removing such stains.

Also, you should remember to put the removeable screen back on before loading your next bowl :)

In regards to the rattle in the glass, you can try screwing it on tighter. Removing and reattaching it with a little bit of oil or grease will work just fine for ease of future use.... We designed a very tight fit for the bezel on the swivel cap because it's the raised lip of the bezel which will be pulled on to remove the cap. We dont want this to easily come loose with use.

Thanks guys, feel better now. Will keep an eye on it.

I can see why they recommend to charge after every bowl, I've been trying to charge every other bowl and it's always dying on me

Very clever, Brother Pipes.....

Next time I suggest you try the other VG mouthpiece (the new version). It's 1/4 inch (same as the glass tube from FV is), not 3/16, so a single layer of the same shrink tube gives a solid fit just like the glass tube, and draws easier to boot. Same great price for the larger MP from VG....two for a buck!

Has anyone tried a universal mouthpiece ecig adapter so they can try all different kinds of stems? I have a few Sherlock's I'm going to try (hopefully by Friday).

I managed to run mine through my new infamous bubbler. I was actually able to slip a piece of SSV tubing over the stem and make a pretty decent seal. Worked very well.

This would be the little one you suckered me into ordering? Pretty neat little gadget, really, isin't it? I haven't had as much luck with FV as I had with Omicron, DART and Cera..... I'll get FV down too, but right now I'm focusing on that timing and draw too much to keep the rest of it together.
