Could a glycerin extraction made with this thing be used in an e-cig? Seems like it would be a lot easier than most oil extraction methods I've seen.

i would LOVE to know this as well. i am an owner of an EGO-C with the "tank" system and so is my brother in law. we buy these prefilled tanks from his friend that are infused with hash oil i believe. if i can make them myself i could save some $$$

From what I have researched in the past, it appears that you can make your own glycerin tincture for use in an ecig and it will work just fine. Never tried it myself of course...not yet anyways

I saw this thing the other day on another Site, forget where. Definitely much much more interested in reading tweeks review on it and having the company's presence here. Too bad I didn't discover this before the $30 coupon expired.

Either way I'm going to have to add this to my list of things I want. But don't need.

Unfortunately, the unit has to have a certain level of liquid in it to run. I think it is around 2 cups, so a decarb wouldn't be possible.

I was thinking of just leaving it in the oil bath for the decarb, but after checking some resources it looks like the mushroom setting won't work. Ideally a decarb setting would be 252 degrees F with a default setting of 27 minutes but could be adjustable for drier product or pollen/hash that need less decarb times. If it had a viewing window you could see when full decarb has occured by when the co2 stops bubbling off. Thank Puffers, that is great info My personal routine is to set the oven to about 215 D/F and slowly decarb. The overall time depends on how moist the product is. I have had it take from 20-45 min. I think what scares most people, is the smell...I know it freaked me out at first, so it's easy to want to pull it out of the oven right away.

I tried a shorter time and higher heat method once and it was a disaster. Low and slow for me...much like god BBQ

thanks Tweek! any suggestions on proper cooking? i think what is most important is how much flower per cookie you need to make it potent.

Totally depends on your quality of flower, tolerance, personal absorption characteristics, decarb, etc but a good starting place is not much more then you can consume in one session. So if you can use .3 in one sesh use that .3 as a baseline dosage and go from there would be my suggestion. Everyone is different so it's better to start low, but some people like my self have a hard time getting low dose medibles to work for me. My buddies can eat one dose of a strong medible and be loaded for hours I can eat 4x as much and still want to hit the vape

Hows the smell when making the oil/butter if it was minimal it would be perfect for making inside the dorm and just bake them wicked late at night and use the dorm kitchen

You will still notice a smell, as it is not a sealed unit and the grinding cycle is loud. I wouldn't try this in the dorm kitchen.

Tweek did the book come with the recipes or are you winging it? I can't wait to hear more reports from you and also hopefully the company likes us enough to give us that old faithful FC discount.

Yep, there are recipes in the manual as well as on their website. So far I have only tried making an AVB olive oil and it turn out really well. I also made Kratom Tea using the mushroom setting which also turned out fantastic.

Not sure about an FC discount. There have been sales on the website, so maybe in the future?

Just waiting on you my friend to put it through its paces. That thing is so loud it is scary. Also with all that shaking how long will it last realistically. I guess with the abv you didn't decarb since it already is correct?

That is correct, I didn't decarb as the AVB is already "toasted". It is loud when grinding, but quiet the rest of the process, outside of the thermostat clicking and a final beeping when it's done. It is a pretty solid device. Most of it is stainless steel with the exception of the top/bottom areas.

Hopefully I can get to whipping up something else soon....but what I have done so far has worked well!

I went my growbuddy's place yesterday after telling him I wanted to make a new batch of butter (didn't mention the 'new' toy I had to do it), but being the nice guy he is he had already started the batch (old way) before I got there, as well as made a ton of qwiso with the balance of goods....

So......... I guess 'my' review won't be happening for a while yet until the next crop is finished.

Yeah it is going to be a while for me too, sorry folks. Money is tight and personal/health issues up the wazzoo...up to this point the machine has been alot of fun to use. I did the oil with AVB and the Kratom and both turned out better than I was able to produce.

Mine arrived a couple days ago, I haven't had the time to use it yet but the build quality was alot higher than I expected, I think if they worked on they're marketing/ advertising it would do alot for the company because those videos made me skeptical of how well made the machine would be

I agree. The website and overall marketing don't do it justice. Some might find the LED light on the top kind of cheesy but it has a purpose. It gives a visual reference so that you know it is still in a cycle (it is very quiet when not grinding). It is very substantial. At first I was concerned about the plastic parts, but I dont think they will be an issue.

I agree, the videos and the site itself appears hokie. The product looks very sturdy itself, but it's hard to imagine from the video. I am very excited to try it, hopefully soon.
