Everyone I show this to digs the aesthetics of it. Hope it's a home run...

The only thing I don't like about this is the finish. To me it looks cheep/fake I am really liking everything I've heard so far but would much prefer a more plain finish.

Vaping is a way of life!
If that's really the case, you may be unique on this Forum. "Some cloud production" is enough? Did you notice the Cera thread? Over half a dozen of the most amazing cloud videos I've ever seen weren't half enough for many.......

I have been following cera, and the EO cera has me amazed , but the loose leaf as far as i can tell isnt as cloudy as i would like , for herbs Id have to say Pax wins in cloud Productions vs cera lo, but iam hoping new da Vinci , blows bith of them out or the water ! Lets wait and see !

Sorry For the typos , but My android phone doent like FC Forum !

For sure you can't please all people, but have you handled one? If not, when you do, I think you'll appreciate it a lot more. The unit is pretty dense (heavy for it's size) and it gets warm, the grip the surface provides is most welcome.

When it's hot you really don't want to clamp down on it hard to keep it under control, a lighter grip is much better and dropping it much worse.

Edit: My mistake, I had the DV in mind, I've not held this myself. I do assume, however, that the finish here will also be chosen wisely. Cosmetics are another issue of course. OF

Hello Davinci_vaporizer..... could i request some Ascent pron please ;)

did you ever get an answer to this???

I might have addressed this...maybe. Yes, this vape will have the ability to do oils. We built glass oil cartridges that will fit in the unit. I wish I could remember the principle of vaporization that this works on. Basically the heat around an enclosed object will cause the vaporizing oils to go upwards to a small hole.

I don't see how anyone will think the finish is cheap..and trust me, it's not in terms of cost. The quality just doesn't come through on the renderings. The finish is a brushed aluminum body all around. Black is matte black aluminum and the wood looking one is brushed aluminum with a thin water based printing on the aluminum.

I have pre-production samples that should be here by weeks end and also a video that is scheduled to be completed by Friday..so more to come very soon. Thanks all for the patience in waiting for this!

I do like the idea of the glass oil tank. Very interested in seeing this unit perform. Like many, I wait in anticipation for the videos and beta reviews.

I think it would be nice design if the flower and oil chambers were separate from each other. The ability to have one unit loaded with both would be very versatile.

Let me clarify that what I said would not stop me from buying and the way you describe it sound a lot better than the pic on page one. I didn't even realize that it was a rendering but that shows what I know. Now I will keep my mouth shut and wait for the final product.

I want to know if it can be cleaned airplane safe easily like the T1 or Cera.

You know, I've got to give those guys props for that feature. So, no I would not recommend dunking your entire Ascent in Iso. Death by iso is not covered under the warranty.

However you can completely remove the glass straw as well as the inner glass sleeve and glass screen area. This is the only path that the vapor can take as the rest of the unit is completely sealed off. The bowl isn't removable, but since it is glass lined it should come sparkly clean.

I want this more and more with every new detail! More info! Pics! Video!
How's the vapor production compared to the current davinci?

is the ascent manufactured in USA? this a major factor motivating many purchasers.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
So if the airpath can be removed and boiled or iso'd we have another great vape if it produces in the medicating department. I am excited now. I have enough vapes that smell to high heaven. I know iso doesn't take the smell out of tubing so I suspect it doesn't totally take it out of glass. I use iso for my solo stems but they do hold the order a little...I am going to try to boil when I get extras which I hope I will be able to do with the ascent or even the top of the dishwasher. Smell be gone...hmmm new product:D

Uh... "convection"? Or are you referencing something more specific to "enclosed object" that speaks to flow? Curious...

So little glass oil cans, then? ;)

I wish I could remember the principle of vaporization that this works on. Basically the heat around an enclosed object will cause the vaporizing oils to go upwards to a small hole.

Only 3 possibilities. Conduction (requires direct contact), Convection (heated air/gas rises on it's own (natural convection) or is forced (forced convection.....go figure...) to move moving the heat with it) or Radiation (Inferred Radiation moves the heat though free space from hot to cold). Conduction, convection, or radiation. Those are the only 3 possible. Or they were when I went to school.

My guess, from the description, is we're talking conduction mostly to do the vaporization? The vapor moving up is probably being forced by airflow?

However it works, it sounds interesting.......

Thanks for the peek forward.

Glass oil tank and flower tank. I have a Herbal innovations thats portable that utilizes that idea you just use a portable butane lighter to heat it up. Works very very well
