Been using this one (well, haven't got this one yet... using the one from the idiot)... same thing though.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251174095115

Been running 24/7, holding rock-solid voltage at 11.5. Display is off, by (ONLY) just over .10 of a volt. Which is actually very good, for something that doesn't read out in 100ths and cost $14. The other version without the display same results, running 24/7 worked until I unplugged it.

Of course, having 5 vvps, you can afford for one to take a dump. My least favorite was the $29 one I bought from the Hildebrandt page.

EDIT: This one is due to be delivered tomorrow.

That's a great price... I see these have different ways to connect to the power, so I am guessing different cables may be needed, depending on the VV? I really appreciate the help everyone!

Most of them, only need one or two mono plugs and 1 cord. Mine doesn't need the second plug, because its always on, plugged in. Others need a bypass plug to keep power to the vape constant.

OMG!! this is a beautiful, beautiful vaporizer!! :luv: Looks like I am going to have a lot of stems to test out. I am starting with the all glass 14mm gong stem.

WOW it's just getting hot enough to vape with, and it's already putting me back in my chair!! I have been hitting the cloud at noon setting already several times this morning. I am amazed at how smooth the hit is too. I have not milked up my piece yet, and want to keep trying, but something tells me I better take a break... :ko: I'll come back to it in a little while, and try to make a video.

The first trouble I am running into is when I take a hit, and clear it, the kick back from the water pushing its way back into the stem is making trapped air to cause my load to poof out all over the place. I've tried slowing down so the water moves easier, but it still seems to be happening. Anyone else having this? I don't remember seeing anything about it in the thread. Should I cap it with a screen? <---oh just figured out, it's because I am using the cloud buddy to carb, instead of pulling the stem out.

Moving to the little white sem with a SS bowl, for a bit... feeling a bit medicated and not fully up to the challenge of the glass right now :)

Once you start your hit,,,don't stop until you clear when using water. Shortly into the hit, resin will form and hold the herb in place, when dry hitting.

This has always been my only small complaint about the stemless 60t, the water "bounce back". I've had it get my load wet before it bounced back so high (it was a high water level, so partly my fault). There is little to no bounce back with the Ion or Clear Matrix.

That SS stem is a Zap stem. Ed had some pretty impressive wood versions that may match that HI.

Not up to the challenge? You just need to practice your JedHI training.

Well, I just can't put the stopper back in before all the air exits. The Mona (Lev) I am expecting in a few weeks also has the stemless and will likely kick back too. so either I pull the stem to clear it, or I use the cloud buddy and just leave the stopper out, after clearing so the air has another exit.

Just do, what I do.

After you clear. Hold the roasting tube, until the water settles. Then put it back in. Or, if you're using the cloud buddy, leave the stopper out.

Easy fix.

P.S. The same thing happens on dewaar pieces to, which I was unaware of... but there's a post about it, in the glass forum.

I think it's just now getting up to temp. I just got my first thick, milky hit, thought it was combusting it filled up the chamber so fast, but nope :D it was all vapor. still using the SS tip... vids to come. Let me see if I can do that a few more times and I'll get a vid made :ko:

Thanks for posting the video jam. Looks like it is working well. Sort of like having an electric hot air lighter. Have fun testing the other tubes.

I'm sure I will move on to another stem soon. I'm pretty out of it tonight, can't stop trying to hit this thing though, it's fantastic!

I just gave it a light coat of beezwax and it's glowing! Such a nice cut of burl :D I am getting a bit of charring on the top of the load, I will have to work on my temp setting and distance from the load. I started at the top of the dial, to get the heat up going, now backed it down some there are no numbers or markings, so I will fine tune it. I imagine the setting might vary depending on the stem or herb.
