Discontinued Thermovape Alpha Ultralite

been spending more time with my ultra+ HP LV Evo and this little guy is kicking my butt. I think I have the draw speed/timing figured out, no longer getting combustion. I am pulling really large hits too. Prepping myself for the soon to be Cera experience.

** I am using it with the stock sleeve, and a small screen under the load, and another small screen on top of the load.

Kinda wishing I could have picked that part up as well... Continually happy that I have the Ultra + AVA/DART, it's just too pocket-friendly and discreet to boot. I already have a Launch Box for flower but it's not the same size as the Evo... I understand that it does drain battery faster though? Blah, if I wasn't going to spend $180 tomorrow on my lidocaine again... who knows, I had a dream I won the lottery the other night

I get about 4-5 good solid hits from my HP LV Evo before the ultra gets really hot, and by then I figure I have strained the battery, so I usually just empty the battery out and let it cool, and load a fresh one, and keep going. It's still not much more than I was getting from the 6v T1 (4 hits made it really hot), but considering the size difference, I would say that still isn't bad. For a few quick puffs, in the smallest, most pocket friendly vape I have to date, I'd say that isn't too shabby. Now if you are looking for long term vaping, either keep a bunch of batteries on hand, or go to the next size up (t1 body 17670 battery) might get a few more pulls from that one before the battery gets too spent. Honestly I have not spent enough time getting to know the HP LV Evo/T1 set up, so I can't say for sure how much more life you would get. I do know that the Ultra/HP LV Evo combo gets me medicated enough on one battery, that if I were out somewhere, and just needed a hit or two for maintenance, this would do it for me no problem. However, I have not put it to the full test yet, as I usually just carry my Pax around when I go places, so I have not truly tested the Ultra/HP LV Evo in the real world, just here at my desk, or out in front of the house standing with the smokers.

4-5 good pulls is all I would need, and probably more than enough if I were to sprinkle a little layer or two of bubble/kief in there since I have access to them.

See, the thing I love so much about the Ultra is that it's so interchangeable. I already carry the Ultra with the AVA everyday, and keep the DART in my pocket with it. If I need serious cannabinoid delivery, it's hard to beat unscrewing the AVA and attaching an oil cart. The Evo just makes carrying all three more practical. Hell, it beats having to bring both the Ultra and my Launch Box. I suspect that 4-5 good flower hits will suffice for me, and the modular feature of the Ultra is what keeps me coming back for more. The Evo cart just seems easier to carry in my pocket with the DART as opposed to having to carry the LB. I'd rather the Ultra with DART, AVA, and Evo, than the Ultra with the DART, AVA, and a Launch Box in the same pocket. If I had known earlier that I would keep loving this thing more and more...

And I just managed to drain both of my batteries. I can't remember the last time these things were on the charger... had to be at least a week by now. Color me impressed, considering it was driving the AVA hard and the DART for a couple dozen or so hits.

Darn... $64 for the Evo, or $50 for the T1 with that special FC discount...

Thanks for the link :) time to crunch some numbers!

That $64 price was for the Evo + insulated T1 adapter. You would probably get a lower price just for the HP LV Evo/sleeve without the extra adapter. The $50 T1 is a steal, if it's true, but again still need to get things re-wired for 3.7v, so tack on another $20 easy, if you want to change the core. Still one hell of a good deal. I would contact TET about that HP Evo to get pricing straight on that.

i do have to report some sad news. over the holiday i lost my ultra and an lv dart to the mountain gods. if anyone knows of a place where they have any left or comes across one, or decides to let theirs go, please don't hesitate to let me know. it's the price you pay to play, but hopefully the loss isn't permanent. thankfully i am set on the extra dart.

Woah, bummer man. What's up with that? You're not hiking around with Darkrom are you? That kinda stuff is just his speed.

Think pure thoughts, maybe they'll come home......

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did you drop it off the ski lift? I have lost so much glass to the mountains in the last 15 years!

Thanks for the link Jam! Just grabbed one for myself. Hopefully I will see it midweek. Now time for some fresh batteries. Any recommendations on where to buy?

Muchas gracias Jam.

Now to order some delrin stock. Going to make my own heat sleeve. Should only take a few hours. I'm fortunate to have access to manual bridgeports and lathes at work.
If I had a print I would start making 510 to 3/8 24 adapters. I believe the new cera carts are 3/8 24. Whatever thread it is, I can replicate it.

I went ahead and picked up one too, been sitting on the fence for a while, hate to miss it completely. I do like these little guys, and if someone figures out a good adapter for the ultra to run the Cera cores, I would be very happy, and would have to buy the EO cart.

It's only a mater of time before someone makes an adapter. I was even thinking of drilling the cap and tapping it to the 3/8 thread. I will have to measure it and see if there is enough metal. That would be a super easy mod!
Although OF's wing nut mod is effin cool. Imo

A 510 adapter would work for more than our much-loved Ultra. A full range of ecig mods would also be available.

Perhaps TET will offer the Cera carts without power supply/base by then.

I believe you are right.

No, make that I know you're right. If you look a couple pages back on the Cera thread you can see the one I made from the only nut I could find in that thread at the local hardware store (a wing nut no less....).

Careful, most all of them aren't up to the power Cera needs. It's a nominal one Ohm, most e-cig stuff considers that a short circuit failure. Persei (not a 510 thread) is the only one I know of off hand that's up to it. Many are good for 15 Watts involved (most aren't), but most of those I can identify won't drive carts under about 1.2 Ohms. Some of the 'batter and switch in a box' ones ironically might.

Ultra and T1 supplies are obvious first choices here I think. But AFAIK the "full range of e-cig mods" is the empty set? Guys might skate past the problem with the EL cart which is about 1.3 Ohms (right on the edge) at 10 Watts.

Finally, no 'perhaps' about it. TV will sell you the cart of your choice for Cera for $100. I have just such a 'single cart only' order in myself for a reserved EO cart for Pure Gold.

I have had my Ultra base sitting around for a few weeks but finally got around to ordering some batteries for it last week. I got my order in a few days, I believe it was about 3.

http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/id75.html

Best price I found, about $1 cheaper then most places. Also shipping was about as cheap as it could be, only $2.
Me too. Just got four 14500 AW IMRs from the same place. Easy to buy, ships right away, I too had it in three days, and it was the best price around.

Exposed me to a world of vaporizers that I had no idea existed.

Better than pills, eh?

Amen to that! Who knew? Lower costs, better health.....what kind of a secret is that to be keeping from your fellow man? Sadly, the profit motive works against this idea. What dispensary is going to urge you to buy less from them by vaporizing? They want you burning bunches of the stuff.....literally.

I owe this Forum for opening my eyes. Trying to help good folks in need 'connect' here 'bouts is my personal pay back. Feels good......
