Discontinued A Hot Pod

OhTheAgony

here for the chicks
Awesome vids SD!

I've been meaning to practice my video & editing skills for a long time now but I never seem to get around to it somehow. I feel a lot more motivated and inspired already after watching those though, keep 'm coming pls

I took my Pod to 15 over the last couple of days. I normally keep it at 12, would bump it up to 15 and wait about 15 minutes, and wow was I pulling some serious vapor. My little zap bubbler was ripping clouds from the Pod. I am super happy with its performance at this setting. I am glad I finally tried it!

You got to be a little careful though with the temp, aren't you? ;)

Wow, 15V eh? I'm going to have to try that some time  I think I've figured out why I preferred a much lower voltage than most of the testers here. It seems to be about airflow, and I think you guys are drawing on the bong much harder than I do, so the heat doesn't build up in the herb as much. The design of the bong might also have something to do with it. Thanks again to bleak for helping me experiment with this.

As a result, I'm thinking of using a slightly hotter heating element in the next batch of pods. It seems that 12V is simply not good enough for vaporbonging, but I like the idea of being able to produce decent vapor at that voltage. I've got some heating elements that will produce the equivalent heat of about 13.2V, but at 12V instead. What do you guys think about that idea?

Some info for the geeks among you, I've found that the resistors which are rated at 20 Ohms get permanently "stretched" to 22 Ohms after being used. Furthermore, when I unplug the power and quickly measure the resistor while it is still hot, it has increased to 24 Ohms, but drops back to 22 Ohms once it has cooled down.

Hot Rodding with the Hot Pod Ed? As long as you know how to engage the clutch, you shouldn't smoke the tires. You will just get there a lot quicker.

Would be interesting to see a different resistor used in this application hazy. The quick change-out design allows for easy testing and conversion. It is nice to have the option for high airflows and higher heat input.

Haha, you'll have it soon enough NF...

I seem to have mis-placed my VVPS :(, so there's been no podding for me over the last week or so... :(

On the plus side, I should be able to shoot a few new vids of it in action next weekend
Now I've just gotta find that damn VVPS :argh:

Wow :o those photos look fantastic! That was a fun session. I barely remember riding my bicycle home...

Something else we figured out while I was there. Some of you beta testers might have noticed that I wrote "hand warmer" on the customs declaration. While we were playing with the pod we realised that putting my mouth over the heatport and blowing causes warm air to come out of all the holes. It really is a hand warmer! Not much use to me at the moment considering its 39C here, but for those of you in colder climates it might actually be useful for this purpose. The wood on top of the pod doesnt get too warm so it's easy to put your mouth on there. The whole design of the pod can be explained away if it is used like this ;)

Awesome pics Bleak inspires me to get out the camera. I've got the day off tomorrow and nice weather, think I'll shoot and outdoor pod video :) also I love the glass! Where'd you find it?
