Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

The iso soak has been mentioned here many times and I myself have used this method. Personally, I do it to have a clean cart again as opposed to gathering the reclaim but yes, it works.
thanks Ace. i thought i remember it being discussed before, but i never heard what the conclusion was.

i suppose i can always torch it upside and let whatever is left fall out.
I have seen ISO reclaim mention numerous times in this thread. Gentle heat is another way to get the oil out. The cart claims .2-.3g that you won't be getting back. I personally find the heated reclaim to be worthless for vaping but is great for edibles, then again I will trash a cart with a 1/2g in it when it slows to much or tastes like crap.

I was wrong. I searched back and did find numerous examples. I still wouldn't do it

Hi best forum on the net,

I just purchased the Omicron V2 and now the HVD upgrade. I'm considering buying the 3.7 volt Hercules Herb Chamber. Does anyone have experience with this product and does it work well with the Omicron? Also, will the 7.4 volt version of the Hercules (which also does oils) work with my Omicron as I've added the HVD upgrade?

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

There is a video demonstration of an Omicron v2 with a 3.7 Hercules cart posted here:

From what I understand, the two little 14250 batteries don't have the "balls" to push the Hercules 7.4 version.

Actually I think the question was 'can the 3.7 Volt cart for herbs be driven by the Omicron V2'?

Not sure, I think the answer is 'no, not well'?

It can drive it, but the newer v2 tops with the chrome ring will be much better.

i'm giving one of my Ophos to a friend along with some 2.4ohm carts.
i mainly use 1.5ohm Omicarts or lv tv dart with mine.

what else can she run with it? is there a herb cart for use on the Ophos?

StickyShisha2,
This is my first post, been reading here for a couple months after my neighbor showed me a Vape pen. After doing a lot of reading and reading alll the arguing and other fun stuff involved with the subject I decided to order a battery and a 2.4 Ohm Omicron cart. then I bought 1G of Incredible Hulk Wax from the YB Collective ( pretty cool people over there). I hope this is the right thread to post in, I really just wanted to say thank you to THC Scientific and all involved with the design and refinement of this thing.

Thank you !!!

After reading the ins and outs, complaints/praise of the Omicron I decided to go that route first. ( my neighbor had a g-tank and it was kinda weird.. so I wanted to try the Omicron.

Last night I oxidized the cart, then I broke up my wax and put it in the freezer for a couple minutes, then I took it out and each little piece of wax I was able to roll into little snakes without it getting onto my fingers ( can you tell that I forgot to buy the fill tool ? :-) the little snakes of wax slipped into the cartridge sides easy enough and then I saw it was time to gently apply some heat, so I did that holding the cart in hand to gauge the heat, not heating the bottom of course, I also used a bright LED lite to look down and make sure all 1G flowed down to the bottom.

I was getting pretty excited so far as I finally finished filling it and made no mess. I went thru the priming routine and this thing RIPS !!! ( for me so far) I guess I got a good fill, and after following all the intructions it worked great.

I'm a Mechanical Designer and love tweaky gadgets, so going through the effort was no big deal at all and quite fun for me. I ran in to show my wife and she was not much excited so I went back out and enjoyed a few more rips, she did appreciate that I did not end up wreaking like skunk after lol.

Can't wait to see what comes next. So far this has been the most optimal way of medicating ( I've not tried Pure Gold yet but want to)

( lol I admit I actually bought some Gold Gaps last night to see if I could vape the juice... but I did some more reading this morning and found I would be a stupid dumbshit to do that because Tetra does have a proper product for smoking lol, I just figured it was the same juice inside and was all YB had left in stock.. don't do it )

Does anyone else find that the taste of the vapor changes as the cartridge is used?

Im still on my first cartridge but so far that is what I am finding. Initially I thought the hits had a somewhat funky taste. I could taste BHO but it was a bit different than what I was expecting.

However, as I used the cartridge more, I noticed it started to taste better. The hashy deliciousness was very present. Now I'm on the third week of fairly regular use and it is still pulling big clouds, but starting to taste a bit like it initially did.

If I remember correctly the instructions warned not to get the cartridge and funnel too hot while filling. I do admit that my first filling experience was a bit of...well, an experience. (i dont have the steadiest of hands.) Its possible that it got too hot and altered the taste a bit. Thoughts?

YES!
This is normal, and it is the same same using an eclipse oil vape with a torch.
any oil usage that relies on oil becoming denser as it is slowly gets vaped away, and thickens...
will reveal a gradually shifting flavor as terpinoids etc are vaped away.

I want to thank THC for his personal help in a matter over the holidays. Don't want to be specific, though didn't want a good turn to go un-noticed. Thanks again, Brother!

Congratulations, good unit. It is not, however, the same as HVD. It's an improved 2.0, suitable for 3.7 (under 4.2 max) Volt use, not High Voltage.

Confusing enough?

As OF mentions the 2.5 top will not do 7.4v like the HVD can. I have 3 v2.5 tops and while they are an improvement to the 2.0 I personally ( only tests I have done are with my lungs and a digital timer) do not think they provide the same hits in the same time as the HVD top or the V1 can, the difference is the biggest when i use 14500 AW IMR batteries. I use my HVD solely for 7.4v now and use my V1 for 3.7v use

Excellent catch, GR. Very important point. If you want V2.X to perform like V1 did, dump the IMR 14650 that came with it and go to AW 14500s instead. Big jump in power. Hit count per charge goes down some, but the hits are stronger and more uniform, most who've tried it swear by it and don't go back to the 14650.

To do this you'll need the longer tail cap from the HVD version of V2 and the original tube, a 15mm spacer (not sure if anyone has found an online source, but a 15mm screw wrapped with tape under the minus end of the battery also works) or the upcoming shorter tube (best overall in that it makes the whole rig shorter.

Question THCSCIENTIFIC. Sorry to ask here but I am not getting help anywhere else. SO I sent my Omicron V.2 that I bought locally in Santa Barbara into Delta9Vapes, assuming it is your main customer service site. They are claiming to have never recieved it but I know I sent it to the right address. They are now not replying and I feel like I might have sent my vaporizer away forever.

So is delta9 the main site to deal with for all customer service or did I just screw myself? How can I go about resolving this THC?

You should always have signature on delivery for just that reason.

Sadly, that's probably good advice. I'm sure you see the issues with less than honest folks?

Looked at the other way, D9 insists on getting a signature from you when they ship to you (almost always gives my PO another chance to loose the package....). There's a clue in there, perhaps?

My usual advice includes never sending anything in for service without a "RMA" or similar tracking in place with the company first. No guarantee but it removes addresses, ownership, timeline questions and other issues.

Good luck.

i was wondering how big of a difference there is between the 1.5 and 2.4 carts... i have 2.4 carts now but feel the hits are lighter than i'd like, if i micro hit it i can get a nice hit. will the 1.5 really get me that much fuller hits any faster w/o having to work too hard? i still have 2.4 carts and am hesitant to buy 1.5's if they're not a big difference.
