I received my unit from VW following the sale. I must say that I am not impressed and I havent even used it yet. First off, if this is supposed to be new, im not so sure that it is. I ordered a Black one and it came wrapped up, but when i took the plastic off it had scratches and fingerprints all over it. Not how I like a BRAND NEW item to look. Im thinking about just returning the whole thing for a refund.

Have you tried your vV? Was there a thin polythene protecting the touchscreen? Fingerprints might come from packaging?

When i bought the first gen black vV and i opened the box i had the same impression as you about the paint job and the "scratches". No fingerprints though... I then got a black vV 2 and the paint job was a bit better but "scratches" were everywhere!

I just received my white vV 2 from VW sale and this time the paint job looks really clean and neat! I'm sure there's some "scratches" but they are way less visible than on black paint one. Man,i'm in love with this vape, again!

Yes the LCD was covered. I am going to just keep it for the arsenal. I have some friends coming by today. Perfect time to give her a test!

Hello dear vapo people/community
I decided to start vaping about a 1/2 year ago so i purchased my first vaporizer it was a vivape 2 everything went fine until a few days...... i have the feeling that it didnt vape like it did before the upper part of the herbs looked vaped but the under part still looks green when i put it in for the first draw (the cloud isnt allso thick heavy and potent like it was before) but only at thempreture from 170 to 190 degrees at higher temperatures everything looks evenly vaped can anybody help me or told me if my unit is defect/damaged maybe someone had the same problem and solved it? is it maybe because i didnt clean my fan since i purchased it ....how should i clean the fan with a can of compressed air duster ?does the vivape has to run while i blow the air in the fan from behind and in which direction should i blow the air can? up , down right or left ?can anybody give me a precize description how i should do this

If you experimenting decreasing performance with the vV 2 then the heating element could be broken and need to be fixed. I don't think it is necessary to clean the fan. Unless you see dust stucked inside the unit? I would contact Vaporfection if i were you. Contact dan@vaporfection Dan will help you out...

Haha yeah i bought my first unit from a local shop and when i got home and opened it i thought they gave me the display model but i was wrong, it was a brand ne unopened unit. Both of my replacements had flaws. Definately not as good looking in person, I have white, im assuming black is even worse. Also i noticed theyre still having a christmas sale for 299$ on the vivape, they mind as well just change the price already. And they still have the awesome looking mivape picture, they cant update it to what it actually looks like? I think the company is really hurting... What a shame

I ended up selling it to a friend of mine. I'm sure he will enjoy it as its his first real desktop...as long as he has no issues.

Ive had issues but i still love it, Ive experienced excellent customer service both times, although there were a few incidents both times two, they really did try and made it right both times. And for 299$ which seems to be the new price lol, I would easily buy another one. IMO i would place the vivape in the same league as the cloud and I would easily buy another vivape if the warranty was out. I have a hydra tube from my broken cloud that I bought second hand, so it wasnt covered under warranty, but I just cant justify 399$ for another base unit.

If i was looking for a vape and didnt have any glass id probably go with the cloud. But for people that already have nice glassnpieces they like i would probably recommend the vivape

P.s sorry for rambling, i just used my vivape and am looking at my broken cloud

What would make you decide to pick it for vaporbonging over the LSV, or the VripTech?

Never used the vrip tech, but compared to the LSV, right now you can get the vivape for about the same price as an LSV. I think the fan of the vivape helps dramatically with providing smooth, easy, huge hits(theres definetly less drag in the same piece with my vivape compared to the LSV) and you also get the option of filling bags. Also the taste is definately better and more noticable with the vivape. And lastly, if you put a small piece of silicone around the bag mouthpiece, it fits perfectly in any 14mm glass piece. (And IMO bags+glass/water=heaven) Just my opinions, yours could be completely different

Two things. One, is that for many, the last thing they want is fan assisted hits as they would much rather be in control over the hits they take. Second, please explain the reason why a vivape would "definitely" taste better than an LSV. What would cause that to happen?

I think this vape has an all glass airpath internally...but then you hook it up to a hose, yes?

And for many, the prefer and/ or need a fan assisted vape. I personally did not like the idea of not being able turn off the fan in whip mode, but you get used to it fast, and the only thing really to get used to is taking the whip ou in between hits. The fan is as aloud as a laptop or computer fan and It doesnt force vapor down your throat, its more like it just pushes it along/ keeps it moving. I do not have respiratory issues, but for many with chest/lung/respiratory/breathing issues this is a great benefit(and also awesome at acheiving huge clouds)

As far as taste wise, stickstones is correct, it has an all glass airpath, as well as a glass heating element(not ceramic). I use it a bunch of ways, for an all glass external path ive rigged up an aparatus with a couple of angled adapters and a double ended ground glass jhook (all the angled adapters create an easy angle for attaching my bubblers). Also like i mentioned earlier the mouthpiece of the bags with an o ring or slice from tubing around it fits my 14 mm piece which is also amazing. And thirdly, even with the tubing i just feel like the taste is better through the vivape (initially my be similar in taste to others like lsv, but the end of my bowls definatly taste better in my vivape) like i said earlier thats just my opinion, and initially i was just rambling comparing it to the cloud and why i would buy another vivape if it broke but not another cloud which i just cant justify.

You are the one that brought up the LSV, i think we both have valid points. I just prefer the vivape and for 299$(bag+whip)i would definatly buy it over the LSV again.although im seeing its on sale through their site for 189$ now, all of my comparisons were with the price of 299-279$ which it used to be listed for or whatever. I tried looking at other sites but theyrenall sold out or 299$

I liked the whip assist with the E, but only used it once or twice. I didn't like leaving the whip with it running, or all the vapor would blow out. I didn't realize this vape has that as its only option. So you just turn the whole unit on or off to kill the fan, yes?

Yeah correct, turn it on and the fan comes (usually in whip mode) and you can change it to bag mode if you want. I find the fan in whip mode to be quiter than the extreme and a little less forceful. I believe theextreme can be used with or without the fan, which would be a nice option but i can see why the fan is always on with the glass heating element in the vivape. It was definatly annoying at first to take the whip in and out in between hits but it becomes second nature after a while.

If the cloud was a little cheaper i would definately buy it again, but unfortunately it is not. Also, im not sure ifit is still the policy, but i dont feel comfortable paying 500+ dollars for a 1 year warranty and not being able to pay for repairs once the warranty is up (i could be wrong but when my cloud broke, they mentioned that getting it repaired would be almost as much as buying a new unit so they dont offer repairs) and the base unit is 399$ which i cant imagine is how much it would cost to fix a unit butagaini could be wrong. My vivape is covered for another year and ive already owned it for a year and if it breaks i get a replacement in 1-2 days(cant beat that) and when the warranty runs out i know i can pay a small fee to get it fixed or replaced (i know someone on here that had a broken vivape 1 and paid 100$ and they sent him a brand new vivape2)

I sent my vV, which was defect upon arrival, back for repairs, and it was picked up in Boca Raton, FL a few days ago. Does anyone know how long repairs usually take?

In my experience, they've been very responsive. However, I haven't had any issues in a long time.

But I just went to their website and it appears the website no longer exists. I'm wondering if the company is having troubles? That would suck for us viVape owners.

Well, from my research it appears Vaporfection has folded.

If true, that sucks very much. I've emailed Dan to see what's up.

dormouse - I'm curious to know if you get your vV back.

I also feel better. But i asked Dan to refund my mV pre-order. Not that i don't believe that Vaporfection won't deliver the mV but only because i will "feel better" knowing my money is not in suspension in the multiverse...

The site is still down. For the sake of all the ViVape owners out there, I hope I'm wrong, but it really sounds like the owners are just saying whatever it takes to keep people calm and passive while they stuff their pockets and disappear for good.

Well today was quite an emotional roller coaster. I've had so much bad news lately in general, so when I read this thread today, I was really bummed out and thought both the vV and the mV were lost. The fact that USPS changed the status of the vV sent back for repairs to "undeliverable" didn't help.

But I contacted Dan and he was quick to get back to me. He said they have been making some changes and were doing some site repairs, but that everything is fine. USPS apparently messed up, but Vaporfection will send me a brand new vV2, so I won't have to wait for repairs. He also said they expected a production update on the miVape after the 1st and would let me know.

That's enough for me. I feel greatly relieved.:)
