I confess to being a little angry by the lack of explanation :nope:
You're not the only one. I understand trying to get everything done but when you owe users here thousands of dollars worth of products. They are active enough on the forums so I don't see what they can't spend 5-10 minutes a day or even every few days to stop on and go, "Oh we're just waiting on mouth pieces for the first 75 order and batteries on the next 100 after that.". My T1 is keeping me good happy, but not over a month delay with little communication happy.

At times I have felt like I funded a kickstarter project...the uneven communication is dismaying to be sure. Heavy presence during the holiday season when people are impulsive, cute. Your preorder folks become the evangelists for your product...I'd think keeping them in the loop would be important.

I think it is kind of funny how early on you could request a video of some inhalation technique or some particular vaping material or whatever you wanted to see and they would make a video, now a simple request for an update after a month and we get nothing. Weird to me.

While it is unfortunate, keep in mind that the guy who was making all those videos and responding to us here on the forums just quit. Hopefully someone at TET has the desire to take over as their major presence here.

True, sorry to see him go (thanks and wishing him the best). I have seen post in the past from ThermovapeTim. I'm sure he can still make post.

Yes he did the videos, but hasn't ThermoVapeTim been covering the actual forum posts for the most part?

I too appreciate the info here and thanks to all that contribute.
A direct update is what every customer deserves, not here on this forum, but sent to their own personal email that was provided during pre-order. I'm sure they have customers that aren't even on this forum or know about it.
TET should have been giving updates throughout this whole process. It's their responsibility to advise a status to their customers. I'm fine with it being late, just not happy with the communication from them.

That's how I felt too...and I ended up cancelling my order because of that.

this is just an observation. not meant to bash on TET or anything.

I held a T1 for the first time this weekend(didnt get to use it). I was thoroughly unimpressed with the build quality. it seemed way too plasticy and didnt have any real heft to it. additionally the thing would rattle if shaken.
based on their commitment to durable materials on the cera i was pretty shocked when i held the T1.

This being said, im sure that there arent any unsafe materials used on the T1. i was just suprised that it didnt seem anywhere near as tough as the cera is going to be.

T1 owners: am i way off base?

It's tempting, but at the same time, we're so close and as I puff on my T1 LL and Rev. I know I made the right decision.

Sure...hang on in there.

I just decided that I couldn't be bothered with getting angry almost everyday at the lack of info coming forward from the makers.
I realise that they had a 101 other things going on, but in my opinion if your trying to promote and release a new product and your taking peoples full payment up front by the way of a pre-order facility...and if during that process things go a bit haywire and things start running late, one of the first things you want to do is to keep all that pre-order cash in your bank account and keep your first lot of customers happy, so you do a mass e-mail updating all the customers as to the problem.

I'm a chef and in my business we know that if you send out a crap meal and the customer is not 100% happy they will not re-visit your restaurant and they will most likely go off and tell another 20-30 people not to go there.
If the customer is kept happy and leaves happy not only will they return another day but they will also tell those 20-30 people what a great meal they had etc etc and hopefully those friends/family will visit too.
Above is slightly off-topic for here but the principle is the same, as I too have went down the dis-gruntled route with this product and told friends and colleagues who vape and who could have been TET's future customers about the lack of info and updates etc etc and the few I have told have said to me that they won't even contemplate buying any of the products...even although I have said I may wait and re-order the Cera at a later date.
That's word of mouth for you.

Not entirely. I have a small slip of paper in my battery tube to prevent the rattle. It is made to accommodate various batteries so a little working room is good to have. The delrin plastic of course makes it feel plastic-y. All it is is an 'Apex Vapor' Ultra with a sleeve on it. The actual construction of the heating element is rock solid though. I'm glad I have it, but I am unsure if I would run off and pay $200 for it. Thankfully I got it on sale and direct from TET.
It may not produce big clouds, or be great for groups, but when I'm sitting here browsing the forums and playing games, it truly medicates.

Sure...hang on in there.

I agree, I'm a cook at a nice restaurant so I know what it's like to have to keep the customer happy. With their service they are providing and complete lack of updates I'm a very unhappy customer. I'm just here hoping that once my meal does arrive, it will be the best damn meal I've ever had.

I agree...not the best way to release a new product, if it wasn't for FC a lot of people would have expensive intl call charges or would be completely in the dark.

Enjoy your meal...lol.

Without the batteries the main body has no real weight, that's true. I find it to be a positive as there is no unnecessary bulk. Any of the black/white sleeve/tip material would be delrin, which is by default a "cheap" plastic, although that doesn't restrict it from working well in many applications including this one.

additionally the thing would rattle if shaken.
If the tolerances were tighter the sliding action would begin to seize from the smallest residual debris buildup, among other issues. I always liked the simplicity of the open ended tube floating there, the real problem is that the buildup of debris and skin oils make the sliding action unreliable without consistent cleaning.

This was the main benefit of the sliding side "safety" in the Cera, but as the front latching switches are now out the window it's been displaced by a depressing action on the tip which we will have to live with in the mean time.

based on their commitment to durable materials on the cera i was pretty shocked when i held the T1.
To me it is an issue of relativity, particularly in the context of Chinese e-cigarette build quality and rebranded products of that quality marketed towards concentrates. I have yet to see a single "pen" that was remotely comparable to T1 build quality.

This being said, im sure that there arent any unsafe materials used on the T1. i was just suprised that it didnt seem anywhere near as tough as the cera is going to be.
It is hard to say what is "going to be", OF has the only one "in the wild" and I'm not so sure what that even means at this point, if anything. There is always going to be a weak link and it will be discovered sooner rather than later.

Not the best thing for prospective buyers to see when they google Cera and find a 26 page thread just bitching about TET :(. I know finding this thread without having any prior knowledge of TET would be enough to turn me off.

When it comes down to it it's just Pre orders waiting for their shipment, the quality of the product I'm sure is top notch. It's that communication thing they gotta work on, still isn't enough to turn me away from buying their future products but I can "Garen-god-damn-tee ya" I'll never Pre-order anything again. I know it's just a vaporizer, but it's a top notch $400+-$1000 vaporizer and its been a big test of patience for me, I'll make it to when they ship but this hasn't been fun. I feel everyone's else's pain that wants it, last night I was watching the original videos that came out 1st and my mouth was drooling.

I'm ready.

Are you?

Yeah, this was a good pre-order lesson for me to learn too, I had high hopes it was going to go off with out a hitch... sure felt like it was heading that way in the beginning. It really has not been all that bad though, I have read other threads with paid pre-orders and people have been left in the dark for months and still have yet to see anything... so even though the amount of contact has gone from a lot to almost nothing, we are still doing better than some, if that adds any comfort at all. I have been very uncertain through out this experience myself, and thought a few times about cancelling and just waiting until it was all worked out, but now we are at what is supposed to be the very end of the wait, so might as well stick this out. I do think it will be my last pre-order as well, just too much unknown going on.

One of the posters and the mod's thought it best to open this thread and keep the other one un-cluttered...but tbh, not bashing TET or anything...the ball was in their court, if they had kept folks up to date, wither that was on here or by e-mail this thread would not even exist.

I think its hilarious that the store front still says pre orders will ship in december.

We just heard that early orders will go out next week maybe. If that doesn't happen, I think I am going to give up on checking these threads altogether. They keep saying "end of the week"./
