Discontinued Vaporblunt 2.0 & VB 2.0 DLX

Hey, I ordered from GotVape on friday (vaporblunt 2.0 /w hydrotube). I received an email saying it was back ordered. Then I found this thread; and well, I read some peoples had bad experiences with them. Suffice to say I was nervous when I called them to check on my Back Order.

I was impressed, the lady I spoke with was very friendly; I asked her how long the back order might be and that I may want to cancel my order. Her demeanor was impeccable the whole conversation, She was courteous and took the time to double check when my Vapor Blunt 2.0 might be shipped.

After researching my concern, the GotVape representative advised me that the Vaporblunt 2.0 Hydrotube was the only hold up; they were back ordered because some of the tubes were problematic. She then advised me that my order should be filled and in the mail by this weekend.

We will see. I feel like the lady did her best to service me ... er, um ... give me service - hahaha.
But time will tell, I will post when I get my gear :)

Well, mine got here today and it doesn't work. Plugged it in for hours, showing a full charge, I hold the button down and nothing happens. This has happened with me with GotVape before as well.

Most other websites I order form show when an item is not in stock, giving you the option to order it from someone else.

The button is a little quirky. Push once and put the pressure towards the top of the button.

If the button is held down for 5 seconds the unit enters programming mode, and may need to be reset. Call our customer service department for a step by step to reset, or if you have a defected unit you're more than welcome to deal directly with us on your return and bypass GV, it will prob be faster.

That makes a difference - the button is a little hinky. But when it turns on and works I love this thing. It's the closest to my Cloud in output of any of the battery-powered portables I have (the Solo puts out wonderful clouds but isn't pocket portable due to the stems, but this can go right in a pocket). The only butane-driven one I have that compares is the Supreme. If I can get the button working every time, this will be my go-to portable.

Will play with it a bit more. If the button stays inconsistent I may contact VaporBlunt about a replacement. So far the only thing I don't like is the button. I'd been worried I'd need to 'sip' on this, and the Cloud has spoiled me for that. But at least with the flowers I'm using, it is not necessary. Didn't even have to pack it much.

Glad that seemed to help. I also noticed the timing on the button is a bit deliberate. Most of us now are kind of used to just tapping a button and things work. Because the way this device works is a one button thing it's all about the time that the button is pressed. I noticed if I didn't do a very deliberate press and kind of think about it as I was pressing I had a hard time turning it on. But if I was deliberate about making sure to press at the top of the button and press down and let up it would turn on consistently. I know that doesn't make much sense, but I can't figure out a better way to say it. I've worked in the tech industry for many years doing technical support and running tech support departments, for mostly hardware. I seem to have a weird affinity towards gadgets and kind of just intuitively know what to do when something doesn't work. Must be that I've played with so many different components over the years and see them fail that I know where the most common problems tend to come from. I knew going in buying this that a one button function while nice in theory, is not always that great of a solution due to the way it needs to be programmed by timers and counts. As soon as I noticed the button issue on mine I kind of knew what the "problem" was. It's not really a problem per se, but is more of the timer program for the button presses. I actually like it this way as it keeps it from turning on in my pocket. It just took a little bit to figure out the right timing for pushing it down and letting it up.

Salutations KingBoo,

...it keeps it from turning on in my pocket.

Perhaps it's just slow to boot, though in this particular situation that 2.0 button thing almost sounds more like a feature than something waiting to be fixed. I'm more curious about sufficient protections in case of a major catastrophic failure of the battery and - over everything else - i still don't know what its air/vapour path is made of other than what was written and that wasn't cutting it for me.

Yeah, I think it's more of a feature as well. I have no info on battery protection. Air path is a straight stainless steele tube.

Hi again,

Straight right from the fresh air admission point to the external exit one?...

:peace:

Sort of. One end you pack and screw a cap on the other has the mouthpiece. Near as I can tell there are gaps in the casing that allow for air to be sucked in from all around the device, then as it's pulled in from the bottom of the device then up through the straight tube. Imagine a toilet paper tube with slits in it running down the sides and a big straw in the middle and you sort of get the idea.

Took my VB2 out to my folks this weekend as my Dad has an NO2 and I wanted to compare how they both did flowers. In terms of working they were pretty similar, however he stir knob and oil versatility made my Dad think about a purchase. The WT attachment as well as bent more portable was also appealing g to him. He thought the taste ofvthe VB2 was better as well as ease of cleaning. One thing I liked about hiscascthe variable bowl size. With the VB2 I've found I need to pack full tight bowls to get good vapor hits.

More about hitting. I found the sip method works best when using in the normal dry mode. Still not quite sure about oils. Seems to take a long time to get through a little bit, but I've never vaped oils before so that may just be normal. It works though. One final note. Because of the hetar delivery method and it being advertised for portability if you live somewhere cold and try to use outside it's a little difficult. It's been in the mid 20's here and it's been very hard to get decent hits outside due to how old the air us outside. Covering the end cap and wrapping my gloved hand round as much of the body seemed to help. One thin to consider if you are in colder climes and have to use it outside or in the garage a lot. I have to go in the garage so I sit in front of a space heater and take advantage of the wrm air coming out of it.

Bummer man, I pretty much always order direct of whatever product I can if I like the company. They make better margins off of direct sales and I usually prefer to deal direct if something goes wrong which sometimes you can only do if you buy direct.

Im being patient the best I can, nursin' my N02 as we type; but still, I'm super excited to try out the VB2.0!

I thought it was cool that you tested the VB2.0 against the N02; obviously, its comparing portable apples and oranges, but cool none-the-less :)

You think you sold your dad on upgrading?

Maybe. He really likes to end his nights with a little concentrate so he's thinking about it.

Hey VaporBlunt!

I went to the local headshop today and was pleasantly surprised to see your VB2 in the vaporizer display case! They've got a shitton of vapes, especially the more recent ones like the Palm 2.0 and you VB. It was just the vaporizer though, not with the hydrotube. The headshop (Outer Limits in Oceanside, California) has a LOT of vaporizers which is impressive. I think the owner hangs out on this forum becaus I saw around 10 SSV's, 3 DVB's, a Plenty, silver and black Solos and Extreme's. The Pax and Launch Box (and sadly, the ripoff Da Kube :l ) Both Volcanos, three different legit Vapor Brothers, the ThermoVape Revolution standard volt (windowed Rev) and a white T1. They've got the G-Pen, Cloud pen, Sticky Wax Burner, Vapir No. 2, Iolites and Wisprs. They've still got your Vapor Blunt for sale as well BOTH of your Palms!

But get this... they're not marking them up. At all. The VB is $169.99. The Palms are both priced accordingly. Price checked and matched for the Vapor Blunt 2. Mine for $249.99. They're not making profit I don't think, unless you sell them for less? I'm not sure, I didn't ask the owner because he wasn't there. In any case, that's some very competitive pricing for it being a local headshop. I asked to see it just to give it a quick touch.

First off, wow. It's small. Pocket friendly as long as you don't wear tight pants. Unfortunately for me since I'm skinny I like to wear slimmer pants. Regular cut is very baggy on me. I can definitely see myself putting it in my back left pocket when I go out though. It felt good in my hand, more natural than I had thought based on the pictures and videos. You know, it's one thing to see, and another to feel... The button click was nice. It just felt good.

Two, as I was being rung up I mentioned to the girl that I was surprised that they had the VB2 for sale already. She looked at me confused for a few seconds, and then said "Oh! The one that does concentrates too?" I said yes and she said she liked it, and that it was awesome that it could do concentrates as well as "... you know, your blend."

So there you go. I like it. If I had enough money, I'd like to get one to play around with and just to have. I'll skip on the Palms but I think you did good with the VB2. Some stupid health shit came up though so it might not be a while, but just in case Just wanted to let you guys know you've got a good presence over here around my part. Outer Limits is a real big headshop, two rooms. Some good glass names and, like I said, a very impressive vaporizer selection, carrying almost all of your products.

Now I have something I want to ask you. Are there any plans to make a mini hydrotube? Something like the size of the VB2 unit itself. Only reason I ask is because lately I've taken a serious liking to small minimal clean pieces. I just bought an oil rig (so direct inject/male joint) 5 slit gridded inline with a little can and bent mouthpiece. I love it for my Launch Box, I get it milky as hell and it clears nicely with no water going up into my mouth. It's the perfect size IMO, just what I had been looking for, for a while now. And at $59.99, it was stupid NOT to get one. Anyways, it also fits in a cupholder which can be a plus sometimes (but never when I drive!!) so I'm definitely digging the portability aspect of it. Seeing the comments of the vapor thinning out rather quickly with the hydrotube, I was thinking maybe a smaller volume piece would milk better? Although I'm not sure if that's just for looks or if it actually improves any aspect of it.

In any case, it would totally rock if by the time I had money, there was a small basic (showerhead should be easy) hydrotube.

I'm also wondering if it would be possible to connect the Vapor Blunt to my little can. It's got a male 14.4mm joint size. I'm assuming all I would need is a female to female adapter so that I could sit it on top of the male piece and have a traditional female slide, the same as on a downstem. Would I be correct in saying I shouldn't expect any problems using it upside down?

Oh, and by the way, please do forgive me for the huge rant. I was prescribed a couple norcos every four hours for pain, took a few dabs, and trench after trench through the little oiler sci tube. I bet it would be a great pair with a VBV2.

Thanks for reading this, by the way. I'm now a believer in your product. The $250 pricepoint is competitive, and if it's just a female-female adapter that I need to use my current favorite piece with the VB2, I'm "sold."

As soon as I get some spending money, which I'm afraid might not be for a while. Who knows, maybe I'll have my wish come true? Maybe you'll make something better than my idea. I'm curious to see where you guys can take this.

6.5" on the mini tube I believe for perspective that put it at the length of a standard pencil.

I wonder what the design will be. I know down in Oregon these pocket bubblers are really popular. You can stick them in your pocket with water in them and they don't spill. My guess is that the new smaller portable WT will have be along similar lines.

I'm gonna go subscribe to your feed. I'd post some, but I'm not really in a position to be able to. I sure am loving my VB2 though. At this point I've figured out most of the little quirks and am getting nice vape on both flowers and oils.
