This part scares me.....

im gonna take a wild guess that the fundamental differences of opinion has to do with financials. i mean noah said that he hasnt made money off TET. not sure if its the same for the other business parters. thats just my best guess tho.

im really hoping its not anything like the partners wanting to half ass things. more importantly i hope its not a dispute over a health issue.

I 'am' glad to finally have heard back from them about my cancelled order (last week), as much as I'm still hopeful in the future to purchase a CERA once all this hoohah is over with.

I'd hate to see what appeared to be a great concept go up in smoke (for lack of a better term), and continue to wish only the best for TET (and all involved), in the long run.

This is newest response I have received Today:
The illuminated switch won't be sent right away. We will be sending a momentary switch for now and the replacement switch as soon as they are in.
We actually just received a lot of the parts we needed this morning. We're putting together units and will continue to do so until all orders are fulfilled. After they are fully assembled we will test them and ship them out. Early Novembers orders will be going out first. From where it sits now, it's looking like orders will begin shipping tomorrow and mid week.

Everyone here is excited to put in overtime to get these together and shipped finally!

Hey FC just talked with TETand all is well in there kingdom despite the personal news of the reformer CEO but they have recieve all the parts and are starting to put it all together, November preorder this week and December preorders next week.
The safety switch is a go by the sounds of it with on/off capabilities which is great relief for me and others I'm sure due to the stealth and ease of functionality.
Now the momentary switch will be sent out with our preorders first and as the latching switch comes in TET will send it to us, there still debating on what they'll do regarding the return of the momentary switch but there's a good chance we will recieve both and will not have to return either of them which would be a bonus for all of us.
I had a good chat with TET and am confident this will be the week it all takes off, hopefully everything runs smoothly and we will see this product in hands in the next week or so depending on shipping times.
Right on let's get it going hey, despite the circomstances there moving forward and hard at work filling our orders right now assembling our Cera's as we speak, I can't wait.

Don't feel unappreciated MedMark and SMELLYcat, your updates go a long way. But seeing as the person who showed us what the Cera can do is gone, and is/was an owner/founder, some one else from TET should chime in...


Maybe I'm feeling like I "deserve" too much, but come on. That's not too much to ask for right? It's not a waiting complaint or anything, just wanting a word from the actual company its self.

And wasn't there an online Cera question guy? What ever happened to that...?

I asked about the switch and ship dates and that was the response. I did order a illuminated switch with my Cera. The email made it sound like it will be still produced, just not immediately available?? Not sure? That was the email I got.

You can always do what many of us have done and contact the company yourself rather than wait for them to update you here on a forum where there's no guarantee that you'll even get a direct update.

You can always do what many of us have done and contact the company yourself rather than wait for them to update you here on a forum where there's no guarantee that you'll even get a direct update.
My main reason for not calling them is I'm sure there is plenty of people who are calling them and ringing their phone off the hook with all sorts of obvious issues.

If someone can come on here and give ALL OF US a decent secure update, that rids the need for an extra 100 people (random ball park number) to call them and ask the same thing. Saves time for them and all of us, and we ALL know what's going on, not just you, or mark or me.

Definitely NOT their job to do that, totally understand. But it would be nice considering that's how things were/have been.

Believe me, I agree with you. It would be nice. It would definitely be easier and less time consuming for them. But it appears they've decided not to do things that way right now, so for the time being our only options are to contact them directly or to trust what everyone on here is reporting. I guess our new definition of "official" updates on FC will have to be an e-mailed statement from TET copied and pasted by a forum member and then verified by other forum members lol.

I too appreciate the info here and thanks to all that contribute.
A direct update is what every customer deserves, not here on this forum, but sent to their own personal email that was provided during pre-order. I'm sure they have customers that aren't even on this forum or know about it.
TET should have been giving updates throughout this whole process. It's their responsibility to advise a status to their customers. I'm fine with it being late, just not happy with the communication from them.

Update from the other thread. It looks like the first handful (100+ it looks like if all parts are useable and all in SS for now) of people that preordered will be getting an e-mail in the next couple days with shipping starting towards the end of the week.

So I just got back from a protracted visit to TV. I agree based on what I saw and heard things are very much on track. As Gipsy Rose Lee famously said, "Gentlemen, the end is in sight"!

Ceramic parts to cover the first 100 plus units are in house and going through 'first article inspection'. These are the first 'production units' and therefore merit extra careful inspection before more are made. They looks lovely, much nicer than the Beta and prototype parts did IMO. The finish is a treat to see for sure, I hope the future units look this good. There were boxes of completed cores with more being made at the time.

These are all SS units, the Ti parts are due in late this week or early next and will follow the SS into production from there.

They're still waiting on a few key bits (like the tool to mix the epoxy to make tail caps). The momentary cap is still not ready to test, the evaluation units got epoxy into them through a vent that will need sealing, that too is on track and should be sorted out shortly (I expect a call to come get the cap to test 'any day now').

"The guys" were tossing ideas around about the wording for the confirmation email about to go out. It will spell out the details of the switch change and battery substitution as well as being a last chance to upgrade your order when you confirm it. Also be sure to check the shipping address, be a pity to have it sent to the wrong place. Tim said they checked the first 50 or so orders (the first confirmation emails to go out) and most everyone ordered just the LL. They've made some extra Oil carts (and are making still more) expecting some guys will want to add them, since many ordered their Cera before the Oil Cart happened.

The skins are progressing, but TV seems to have decided to press on with shipments without them. However, they're pushing to see if they can get just the cap part (in white) in time to ship with the basic unit so folks will know what to expect of the skins. IMO the front cap solves several problems (heat, sealing 18mm GonG connections, and so on) such that everyone will find use for it. This is not a commitment of course, but last I heard they were planning on putting them in for free if they can get them in time.

I did confirm Noah is on extended leave as they planned. The company is very much alive and thriving. The mini Cera is being secretly worked on I'm told. It also seems the sliding safety switch is a wash out, not really safe. I've had two accidental turn ons (putting it back in the case and having the switch slide over), my guess is other Beta testers found the same issue. I can see how it could do so in your pocket and with a load of oil that could be very bad indeed. LL would be no fun but at least your pocket wouldn't be smoking up the joint. A good idea, but to be a safety it needs to be more positive (stay clicked solidly) and be better protected IMO.

Anyway, the short if it is I expect complete units by week's end if no unknown issues crop up. Everything seems well under control for projects like this IMO. I think it will come together real soon and TV will chew through the backlog in short order. I'm expecting they'll be sending the first 50 or so emails out as soon as they get the first few units built, inspected and tested. I figure I've got until Thursday or so to get the instructions I've promised them written if I'm going to make the first shipments. If I was a betting man I'd give even money that this time next week at least a few of the loyal (and fast to respond to the email.....) will be stalking the delivery guy, shipping number in hand.

'About time' I'm sure some feel, but IMO well worth the wait.

BTW, while there I met another customer in getting his DART rebuilt. I had Cera with me.....she made a new friend in about a minute. I expect that to be happening a lot soon.

One other BTW. I told Tim I'd ordered a spare oil core for PG (knowing that I'd empty it right away if I didn't have a spare for 'normal concentrates'). Tim suggested I change my order to the Juice version instead since it has a lower power heater more suitable to PG. Great call, IMO. I did just that on the spot. The ball park numbers are 14 and 10 Watts respectively so battery life will go up as well I bet.

The illuminated switch is delayed so yes, you will get two switches. One now and one later.

my partial refund went through ok a few days ago, might want to contact TET about that.

I contacted TET last week and they said they refund me... the next day I received a Paypal email saying I will be refund in 3/4 days (today ou tomorrow).
And this morning, I received a new email from Paypal saying that the Thermovape Alan Moss's bank decline the refund, and Paypal will try again in 5 days......... :mad: And no message from TET at all ! So I send a message to TET...... at this time, no answer

Sorry to say this, and even though I love the products they make, I must say that there is a great lack of professionalism on communication with customers. Any company can have problems and I am ready to understand everything, but it must communicate well with clients ... the one who gives us the news that he can glean is OF, and OF is not working at TET !
I confess to being a little angry by the lack of explanation :nope:
