Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

vape4life

Banned for life
My second unit just died - one month old and, having replaced an ~11 month old unit previously, out of warranty. Looks like it's time to find a new desktop. I'll revisit the Cloud in a year or so when these kinks have been worked out. But being a medicinal user who heavily relies upon vaporization to make it through the day, the last thing I need in my life is a vaporizer that I have to legitimately worry about dying randomly like it has now done twice. It's been an amazing year with the Cloud, but it'll be an even more amazing year when I can get a vape in hand that I can count on.

Man that really sucks, sorry to hear about your luck and I totally empathize with what you're saying as I kinda feel the same way. Even though all my Clouds have never had a problem, I have also never owned one for more than a few months at a time and I am a little apprehensive that I will have to go through the warranty process at one point or another OR be completely screwed if something goes wrong after 1 year. This is the risk I decided to take, based on some reports of Cloud longevity over over 1 year (betas). I'm not sure yet if i'm happy with this risk, especially since there are starting to be more and more reports of defective units (as in any industry). I'm just starting to re-think how much i've invested and how i'd feel if my unit went after the 1 year warranty, and like you am thinking about other options.

A solution would be to just have a decent backup...it doesn't have to be a backup Cloud, but just something that would satisfy you enough that you wouldn't have to "worry" about the Cloud breaking. I dunno, just a thought....I always said to myself i'd force a T-break if I needed warranty work, or once I settle on a portable, there is the back up.

Yep! I use the cloud on max and put UD sized bowls in the ELBs. Perfect browning every time. Never combusts. Bowl is done in one hit, but you can do 2 small hits as well. My UD is about the same, just different taste and not as even of extraction. Cloud is extraction king

I love using the Cloud this way...although with the smaller loads I don't find the browning as rich as with more flower used. How do you find the taste different? I'm curious if the stainless steel ELB has a taste to it at higher temps? I'm starting to think it does...I always thought it was the herb...but now i'm not so sure anymore.

It doesn't deliver quite the same experience as the Cloud, but in terms of reliability and vapour volume, I really don't think you can beat the Plenty. It's a very very solid vape with a very solid warranty. And you can also hook it up to a water pipe should you wish.

the taste is not as nice as high noon, but I like to use small loads and do one hits. I don't think Im getting a stainless steel taste, just more ABV taste. I can still taste the fresh hit, but with that second hit mixed in as well...It's just like everything at once. Like i said before a perfectly extracted bowl.

my friend broke my beloved evolver circ. Are there any available coupons for the glass pieces sold on vapexhale's website?

I have two original VXC's (clicking style), both get lot's of use. I'd have to look up exact dates, but i think i have had them both around one year. I do keep them on a Surge protector at all times, just in case. Used to do the same with my VHW, and i won't take chances with my VXC

I have had mine since 3/5 (clicking model) sn0030. I would definitely be bummed if it stopped working, but if happened outside of warranty I would buy another one without a problem. I use mine daily sometimes hourly. My consumption has been almost cut in half with no decrease in being constantly medicated. This cloud has already paid for itself and even at the current price is still excellent value. :D

I only have like 2 months left of my warranty but I haven't used my cloud since September. So I hope if anything happens it happens quick lol.

It's pretty funny because the Cloud is the only vape I've owned that actually increased the amount of herb I use, but that's just because it raised my tolerance through the roof. If I could afford $500 a year for a Cloud, believe me I would. IMO there is no other vaporizer on the same level. But I've now had one of the older clicking models and an incredibly recent model (one month old) and both have died. So there's definitely some room for change/improvement. I think reliability and longevity are too important on something this price that will for many be used as a medicinal device. I unfortunately won't be able to consider buying another Cloud until either 1. reliability issues are fixed or 2. the warranty is extended. I think offering an extended warranty like some other vaporizers do would be the best idea. I'll pay an extra $100 or $200 for a 5 year warranty. Call it CloudCare ;)

I am sad to hear about some peoples clouds going kaput -

I have the non ticking model that I got from in September, so I guess I have a decent while left on my warranty. My clouds sweet spot is on average good around 3:00 - Which i was a little worried about at first, but now I see that is almost normal. Actually depending on the herb I may have it a little lower but I would usually use mine at 2:30-3:00.

One thing I noticed awhile ago but haven't mentioned because it hasn't had a effect on the unit as far as I can tell. On the the aluminum (grey) housing that holds the internal organs, there is a horizontal crack a little over a cm long. I wouldn't mind taking a picture as its kind of hard to describe but its just below the top plateau of the internal housing - and starts right where the housing is separated in half and continues maybe horizontally maybe 1.5 cm.

Its been there for maybe 2 months or more, no issues with my cloud. Sometimes it use to (not so much anymore) flash green/red after it was already heated, but now its usually solid. I am pretty careful other wise with my cloud so I hope I'll still be covered if anything goes wrong with in reason . I've only used it on it's own surge protector because I read that would be best for longevity, though I am not exactly sure why -

I would love to see the individual units come down in price after awhile, I would probably get another unit in the future, perhaps. Will see. I do love the hydra-tube, more than I thought I would. More effiecent loading is something I've been trying to look into w/ the cloud, I'll see about these ud bowls. Sounds nice,

thanks Vape fans.

Well today is the day I should have my Cloud back. I made it to drive my wife to work, and came back. Now, I have a dentist appointment today I hope I don't miss the shipment between then. LOL.... This sucks!!!!

But hopefully the Cloud will be back today at some point :-). Last shipment I had was 12/27 and they came at 9:30am. So I'm hoping the same applies. :-)

Edit: 10:40, still nothing!! I gotta leave in a hour. Man I really want to cancel the dentist but really need to go. LMFAO! What to do, what to do!

Naw they love the taste and everything just don't have the passion that I do to make the steps to better there usage. They are ok with vaping and talk about how awesome it is but when push comes to shove they don't have the time to do it themselves. I guess I just need new friends! lol But again that is a difficult in a non-med state. If I lived in a medical state that would be an easy thing to do.
