Salutations,

Just in case the manufacturer might be listening.

Considering this product's origins, wouldn't bi-energy constitute a great niche for it to occupy?!...

Inhalater INH001 (2011-Apr-18 14:31:33)

There's a guy in a French thread who might have chosen the Supreme but he was told that item is now discontinued (for all practical purposes, euh... if i understood him correctly anyway)! So i sort of wonder. How difficult would that be to regain fire compatibility from the INH001 in the later versions (e.g. without loosing the electric part)??

Cool info about the history of Inh, but to answer your question I think almost impossible. The Inh 004 uses polymer bowl and capsules and I would guess the Inh 001 used glass or metal. The orange plastic can't handle flame, just regular vape temps.

Is this still on for next Wed?
Not bad if it's the same price as the 004...

Your guess is incorrect. The original Inhalater had a polyimide chamber and used an alcohol lamp as a heat source. Alternately, you could use an ordinary Bic.

Yeah I'm impressed I wouldn't have thought the polyamide could take the heat... maybe they could rig a polyamide attatchment to use with a capsule like the ubie vape

Hi,

Now that the Supreme is almost history i can't think of an other replacement than the INH001, although it only had LED signaling instead of numbers - which is what i favour in a vaporizer: no need for numbers as long as the same setting can provide reproducible results (well, at least on a same unit).

...wouldn't have thought the polyamide could take the heat...

I guess many others had a similar reaction, which would explain why we're now being offered the INH004.

Yet, when the battery charge is low i find the owner might not mind using a flame once in a while, if that can save the day...

Hmm the Inhalater site's 'get yours now' button links to a non-existent Ebay seller. Not good.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to their site for the time... I hope they will update it once the XP gets in a steady production cycle. They should be too busy with the shipment of the new units at the moment and they must be a pretty small team from what I have understood so far about the company. :)

Hi,

...it looks like there has been a strong growth in interest in the Inhalater over the last few months...

As a matter of fact it's been introduced and discussed in our friendly IRC zone almost 2 years ago...

Everyone doesn't have the same definition of patience, that's all.

Hi,

Google Trends, i see. Then the aim of Google's radar ain't covering it all it seems!

:peace:

That's just a search I did for "inhalater" - you can check for any term(s) you want. And here's one for several of the other leading portables (as well as for portable vapes in general):

http://www.google.com.au/trends/explore#q=mflb, "arizer solo" + "solo vape" + "solo vaporizer", ploom pax, "da vinci vaporizer" + "da vinci vape", "portable vape" + "portable vaporizer"&date=1/2009 49m&cmpt=q

You can see which colours correspond to which terms by checking the list of search items on the left.

Oh! What an enlightning way to shop around for a new vaporizer!! It doesn't tell the hole story but this certainly allows a potential customer to pick the same boat as others and since i'm an advocate of the "lets money talk" theory then i can see how this valuable resource could prove handy. I already have a few search criterias in mind, actually!

Thanks.

So, after returning my No2 (my first vape) because I didn't like it at all...I am still in the market. I thought i was pretty much settled on the Pax, but posted some questions in the Solo thread. Someone suggested the Inhalater. Now I see the Inhalater XP will ship in 3 days!!!

This thing seems to give nice draws sans resistance, which is what I'm looking for. It's pocketable unlike the solo...Design-wise--it's not quite as sexy as the Pax, but I'll take better quality vapes any day...my question is...what is the capacity of the Inhalater? I don't remember seeing it...prob. just missed it.

Is it good at conserving material? Seems like one can get a good draw quickly without having to sip like the Solo. Is this true...how does it compare to the Pax.

thanks to any and all that help!!

I think it safely fits .2 but I believe you can fit .5 if you stuff it in there(the draw will suffer though). IMHO it is good on conserving material. I don't have a crazy tolerance and I pack it once(just a good quick suck of the material in and away you go) and I can take a few tokes and feel good then turn it off. Then I can restart it later and finish up the same bowl. So .2 sometimes will last me all day.

Hey guys,

I've been using the volcano as follows.

I pack it somewhere during the day (depending on work schedule) and vape a few bags on setting 5. Then, as a nightcap I fire it up again and put it on 9 (=max) and vape another few bags.

Can I use the inhalator in a similar way and have it be equally effective?

Cheers

Yeah, I know that you can preserve ABV from noon till dawn, that's not my question.

Question is, is it consistent in temperature settings? Can I rely on it to medicate me as the 'cano does? Or will it be more random?

You see, I like vaping at ~170°C during day time because it gives much more high vs stoned. And going up to ~230° for that nightcap.

Now, seeing the inh has a tempdial I suppose you can set the temp. But as it doesn't use forced air (or am I wrong?) I suppose it does work different then the 'cano. So... is it as good at giving (and keeping) the temp you dial in? From beginning of the bowl to the end, from bowl to bowl?

Hope this cleares my question a bit.

Cheers

Jeff, it is similiar to the cano in that the temp is consistent if set at the same number on the dial each use. Here are the correlating temps for the dial indications.

1- 284F
2- 297F
3- 309F
4- 322F
5- 334F
6- 347F
7- 356F
8- 369F
9- 381F
Max- 410F

Ok, I hope to give the inh xp a try soonish. Seems like a hell of a vape. Only thing I'm a bit worried about is the herb chamber which lasts only a few months at best?
