MODNOTE: Please visit the new Sublimator thread and keep it civil this time.

This new product claims that they are actually using sublimation instead of vaporizing. It is not for sale yet, but they are starting to launch their product very soon.

Thanks for the link, Jam. I just watched a portion of the video. I don't really understand how it is different from other vaporizers, except that the deluxe unit (shown in pictures) somehow can recycle 10% of your product into an oil.

The full unit is priced at $1200 and the "mini" setup (looks like a stainless steel Herboizer to me) works with existing water pieces and will go for around $600.

The "bong" portion of the device reminds me of the Steele Concept (all stainless steel with some type of plastic tube).

It was interesting to watch volunteers take nice fat vapor rips off the unit. It can deliver big clouds for sure.

I'm going to keep my eye on this thing.

This guy is interviewed in this month's Skunk magazine. He said it will cost around $300...

I think $300 will be just for the heat element, then he said bong units would start around $600 and go up to as much as $1200 for the home unit or something close to that. That was what I gathered from the video

So, sublimation... in the article he states that the released vapor somehow coats your lungs and allows you to stay medicated for longer periods of time.

This is sounding more and more pie in the sky the more things I hear about it.

hard to say at this point, they claim to have projected Feb. as possible release to get them out to the public. I wonder about this myself, I'll be watching for more details, I imagine this one will get a lot of press from Pot.TV as it hits the shelves.

I just watched some of the video. Honestly, I'm not that impressed right yet especially for the price. The device looks really crude.

I'm interested, but definitely need to know more and this video is very long :-)

I thought I would come in and talk about the difference between Sublimation and Vaporization.

Vaporization is the process of going from a solid to liquid to a gas form. Like ice melting to water evaporating in to the air.

Sublimation is the process of going from a solid to a gas. Like dry ice that goes from a solid to a gas.

In order for cannabis to sublimate you would need vacuum to lower the atmospheric pressure so that you could lower the boiling point and increase the speed at which the active ingredients would transition. I am still not even sure if it is possible to have cannabis transition to a gas with out going through a steam like phase.

Sublimation is an endothermic phase transition that occurs at temperatures and pressures below a substance's triple point in its phase diagram. (The Triple point is the three phases solid/liquid/gas) In thermodynamics, the word endothermic describes a process or reaction in which the system absorbs energy from its surroundings in the form of heat.

Vaporization is an Exothermic reaction. In thermodynamics, the term exothermic ("outside heating") describes a process or reaction that releases energy from the system, usually in the form of heat, but also in the form of light, electricity, or sound.

I hope that clears up the difference some.

Oh, 1200 $...

Good luck getting a user review, i yet have to see one for a 50 $ Vaporite Glow Pro, because it's Vaporite. So, who's the developer again?... Any link with one that sells anthing like an all-glass device, or at least a Volcano???

Fame doesn't come cheap these days, after all.

I think pricing will range from $300-$1200 depending on what you buy, but again, I am only going by what I saw in one of the vids... not really sure about any of this.

I've quite interested, hot air going through a small amount of bud, seems like a vaporizer or a log vape to me, mixed with a vandamper and steele concept. 9 days till their countdown on their website ends. What's the difference in this and convection vaping?
