So Ploom is telling me I need to send my replacement back as it is not charging properly, as it should not take 2 hours or near 2 hours to charge green. :( Im guna cry.

just go to Ploom.com and contact their customer service, request they send you some of the new lube to help you with your temp light problem. They should contact you shortly, and send you something.

I put just a couple of drops on the mouthpiece, and now it's working perfectly, I'm actually amazed. The mp is also going in and locking down easier too.

Just placed a request for the mp lubricant.

Interestingly, I had ordered a second mp. (It didn't come w/lube on it). I swapped it out on my cobalt Pax and it worked great, The temp light issue was gone. So the issue, in my case anyway, is the mp. Hoping the Pax lube does the trick long-term, cause I'm infatuated with this powerful little beauty!

Thanks to everyone for all your great help & assistance. I love this site! :D

Keeping it simple now, pax is my day driver. Use pipe tobacco it's nice, vapes long on high on 1 oven. No longer wait for it to recharge, plug and go. With ganja it becomes an electric joint, blows clouds on low gets me roasted. My Mflb is my stealth vape and both are always by my side. The vaporgenie is there for when all fails, or that quick nicotine fix hit that's sometimes needed when I'm angry...some people do real stupid things indeed, and at work it happens lots, riles me up at times. I have not yet had the temp light issue, no lube too. Forgot when I last cleaned it too. I should freezer it for 5 mins and see if it sticks mp since now it's real dirty.. Got some pictures that ill post soon as I work out how.. Been with my trio to interesting places on a quick holiday to an old gold town in Australia. Pax was good to me, but stealth was the order more often so pax medicated me well at night indeed. Never saw the charger for 2 days too, four batts went good. The taste stays long on low too. And when batt is red it lasts for long enough for a ses. Be happy with pax folks I am for certain.

At least there not in Canada when I had to send my Solo in for warranty it cost me $60 shipping there and back.

Has anyone else had issues with their Pax as far as battery leakage goes? I received a Pax as a Christmas gift but had a horrible experience with my Pax!

When I first took it out of the box, I charged it completely and used it for the first time. To my surprise the battery only lasted about 10-15 mins before the indicator light turned red. I let it sit a few mins before plugging it back onto the charger and when I returned it appeared to have acid leaking from the battery. It worried me so I unplugged everything but the acid got on my coffee table and ate away at the wood. After cleaning everything up I put it in a cardboard box in the garage while I contacted Ploom. Hate that there is no actual phone number that I can call to speak with someone.

After getting ahold of Ploom by email and bugging the shit out of the online live representatives they wanted me to return the device. Unfortunately I threw away the device as it was becoming an issue after eating through the cardboard box in the garage. WHAT A MESS!!!

The customer service has been a nightmare so far and as this was a gift, it is hard for me to get the proof of purchase information and everything that they want. Hopefully Ploom will make everything right by sending me a replacement device as it has irritated me to no end. Has anyone else had any issues with the customer service or issues with battery leakage?? I would love to hear from anyone and any help that they can give. Wish me luck :)

So I just contacted Ploom and their customer service is horrible!!!!! They were pretty much telling me that things weren't adding up. I am very unhappy with what the customer service has done for me as it has caused damage to my coffee table, and now I am out a $250 device which is too much in my opinion anyway. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as they have truly pissed me off and not helped AT ALL. What ever happened to customer comes first??? UNREAL!!!

I am not affiliated with Ploom or anything, but judging by your last couple of posts I would say that things are not adding up either. No one on this forum has ever had this issue, and it seems incongruous to other's experiences and postings. Without the original "leaking" device to return for inspection I can see why Ploom wouldn't just up and send you a new replacement. Maybe you can have the gifter contact them with proof of purchase and things will go smoother...

I must say I disagree with you on this. I received a lot of help from the Ploom team. It does suck that your coffee table was damaged, maybe take a picture of the coffee table and send it to Ploom, if you cant get the persons info who gave you the gift. They worked with me and I didnt even order from Ploom directly.

I was able to take pics of the coffee table and sent them in for a supervisor to take a look at. They pretty much told me that without the proof of purchase receipt that there isn't much that they could do. I am hoping the Ploom will be able to look up the name and see if that helps. Apparently the one who ordered my pax is his wife so thats why he wasn't in the system. I will try contacting them back soon to see what they say. I have looked and looked and didn't see anyone who had any issues of a battery leaking which I thought was odd too. I got a couple pics that I will see if I can post soon.

Gee, no proof of purchase, no pics, a leaking problem that nobody else has had, and no pax to send back to them..... I wonder why they would think that sounds like a fishy scenario?!?!?

At the risk of sounding like a Dick, I gotta say it sounds like someone's trying to score a free pax!

Sorry man but that's just how it kinda sounds to me.

mod note: Sounding like a dick: Achievement Unlocked! If you have to include "at the risk of..." then you are probably about to break a rule. Don't do that.

I do have pics that I sent in with the box and and the leakage that occured. I know, I know! I can definitely see why someone would think it is a fishy scenario. Apparantely I just had a pax with a battery issue. I still have the charger and the box. BTW, does anyone know where the serial number on the box is??? I can't seem to find it

The serial number on mine is on a sticker on the left side, right bottom corner.

You have to load them to an external host. I use imgur.com because you can upload there anonymously without registering. When the picture is uploaded, copy the forum link code it generates and use it to post here.

I agree, while i have had some issues with the pax, the ploom team has always been pretty good at resolving my issue. They are usually very fast with the shipping and turn-around.

Ditto, I'm going crazy waiting for it.

I'm not sure were your located in Ontario, but I just found out HighTimes in London has Pax in stock ... I wish I would have known this as it would be helping a Local Shop plus I would have had it in my hands within an hour. :ugh:

We're here to fuck shit up.
I've never heard of a lithium ion battery leaking caustic material. Lithium ions can catch fire and explode, but they don't leak acid. If the battery leaks anything, it should be a bit thick and sweet smelling, but it is not caustic or able to burn through something like wood. Lead acid batteries and alkaline batteries contain caustic chemicals that can leak and damage surface materials. Lead acid batteries are especially volatile. I don't know what that Pax was leaking to eat through a cardboard box and part of a table, but it wasn't battery acid.
