Please report back what the issue was cause that is just strange.

@OF I don't recall the older units having this many issues cept for the supposed off gassing...is this a trend now? I certainly hope not and that people are just searching this site out for answers.

Very good question, I'm not sure we know enough to even guess. It could be volume related, or some battery/charger/controller issue (several of the problems seem to be related there?). The one that wouldn't adjust all the way up, one other 'no heat' failure I recall, and this one have my attention.

Be nice to know what's up for sure. I used mine again late last night, IMO it really is a neat little vape.....at least mine is.....

You know I love mine cept for the what...the damn lid...lol. I think if the lid would swing away I would use it more when out. You know I want about 30-45 seconds less of heating time as well. For some reason that little extra time bothers me greatly or really effects my routing. I can't do a quick few hits while I am unloading into my chair cause it doesn't heat up in time.

Hey guys, to address the question of the issues, well first of all..yes it is primarily a volume issue, but we also had a small batch of vapes go out recently that had a chip that was susceptible to failure. That's what's causing them to just stop working all of a sudden. We test each unit before it leaves..and so does the factory. We and our distributors have updated ones in stock and as always will happily replace any of the units.

Also...if anyone has any issues, we've been here this week and will be open on New Years Eve.

Thanks for updating us. It sucks when you get a bad stock but at least you have identified the issue and rectified it. I hope you got all the bad units back from vendors as well.

Any sneak peeks on the new DV yet? Please don't forget moveable or removable lid and faster heat up time.

At least you know what the problem was. Good that it was a small batch too.

Well, we do have a few modifications that are in the works for the DV, nothing major though. We are increasing the battery life about 40 mins, have a slightly faster heat up time and the lid opens a bit more.

We're honestly pretty happy with the performance of the DaVinci and are saving all of the new stuff for our new product.

I have had my DaVinci for about two months.
I feel it was a great purchase and would recommend to all that want a reliable portable Vape.
I have seen the posts about plastic taste but have experienced good flavor.
I had one issue with my unit and Organix customer service was top notch.
I have a Atmos, Solo, and the Davinci. The only one I would return is the Atmos Raw because it really is not a vaporizer.
Give the DaVinci a try - you will not be sorry.
Stay Green.

Oh NO! Got my DV two weeks ago and love it, but Xmas day it broke. I was using it plugged in, when the readout started flickering rapidly and temp went above preset. Shut it off and turned it on when cool and da*n: the blue light comes on but no readout and none of the buttons work. Called the vendor but they're closed till Jan 2! Looks like I'll be chokin on smoke into the new year. Anyone else had this problem with their Da Vinci?

I had the same thing happen. I contacted DaVinci's customer service and they solved the problem quickly .

I can't believe that no other portable vape has a storage compartment. If authority finds the Davinci, it's just a walkie talkie or radio and I'm on my way. But if they find the flowers, that's another story. I know some people don't use it that much, but I love the stealthy storage. Well done Karma. Well done.

Hi, I'm new to the site, and just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread, as it has been a huge help in guiding my recent purchase of a Davinci (which I can say, has no noticible off gassing or electrical smells or tastes)

Having given up smoking last year, I did miss partaking regular MJ sessions, but didn't want to go back to the dirty smelly combustion route. Having tried many wacky forms of extraction and tincture experiments, nothing quite delivered the easy accessible hit I was craving.

A vapourizer seemed to be the solution, and a Volcano or Arizer Extreme Q was almost purchased, when I started to give some considerations to portability (I like to medicate at theatres and events, maybe take my vapourizer round to friends etc), so started looking into alternatives (I also wasn't also sure about what kind of statement a large shiny weed extraction device sat in my living room would "say" to colleagues and family who occasionally visit)
After being tempted by the Pax, MFLB, Arizer solo and the Vapir No2, I made the decision to go for the Davinci in large part thanks to all the healthy debate and the positive pressacne of the manufacturer on this thread.

It is a cool piece of tech that not only impresses everyone that has seen and tried it, but it absolutely does the job it's made for, and does it well.
For anyone thinking about purchasing one, then I can summarise the 64 pages of information preceding this post:

The Davinci has some issues,

- The flip top design makes the bowl tricky to view and clean
- It does get pretty hot around the vents during continuous high temp use
- the battery life will only last around 40-60 minutes of untethered usage

It doesnt do everything I'm looking for in exactly the way I want it to (largely becuase I want the world on vapourized utopian stick) but my research tells me that it is the least compromised portable vapourizer currently available on the market, and for me at least, is able to provide effective, legitimate all in one, portable/home vape solution.

Welcome to FC and I am glad you are enjoying this wonderful vaporizer. I was an earlier adopter but not pre-release adopter and I have not had one issue with my DV. My battery life is better then yours as well unless you are using it way high. I use 375 and easily get 60 minutes or more. FYI around 60 minutes is about normal for a portable from the ones I have and others that I have read about.

Just want to give you guys a status update. So I called davinci back and this time Jessica said she would take care of me. Cool I thought, at least after 6 months of waiting they have decided to not leave a customer stranded. She said she would have one sent that day. Wait week and a half. Nothing. I call to make sure its on the way and it turns out she never sent it like she said she would. So she says she will send it this time. It finally came not too much longer I'm all excited because I thought this company might actually care about its customers. Nope. To my dismay my brand new grey davinci is off-gassing just the same as my white one. Right out of the box. No it doesn't go away at all. 0% reduction in mystery vapor since I've cycled it 25 times. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Davinci has now managed to fully convince me that all of the units do this. You think I got a fluke 7 months ago, and then another brand new one from a totally different batch and it's a coincidence? Check yourself if you believe that.

To top it all off I call back to at least inform them of their error if nothing else can be done. They say " o ya its not supposed to be doing that. We could either send you a new one or refund. Let me get your email, we will respond by monday. That was another week and a half ago, the second time in a row they have left me hanging for that long. And everyone RAVES about the CS here. Ya Jessica will be nice to you on the phone. But the company is gonna fuck you over by sending you an unsafe product and then ignoring you. If you don't believe me get a fucking flashlight and check for yourself. I know 90% of you never did this, so you don't even realize that this thing is def giving off some funky fumes.

If I get banned again this will show me where the priorities lie here.

I have used a flashlight and have an original unit. Yes I had to do a mess load of burns. I also more then likely had off gassing before I knew what it was but by the time I knew I guess I used it enough to alleviate the issues. I have never had to use CS so I have no idea about them but I will say in rl I am having issues cause it is the holidays and lots of people take off cause there kids are off. I don't say that to excuse anyone since the people that are pissing me off are businesses as well but it is reality in this day and age. Work ethic is not the same as it used to be.

So are you saying that when you look at it now with a flashlight at ~400F, you see absolutely 0 mystery vapor?

Don't believe the "resin" copout. If it offgasses the same on a brand new empty tank for 25 cycles. It is safe to conclude it is permanently off-gassing. Vaporzing doesn't actually produce much resin at all, and any that it possibly could would go away very quickly doing dry burns.

When it's burned and totally cleaned then burned again I see nothing. It does build up resin so there I disagree cause I can see it on the q-tip like I can with any of my vapes. The best one to see is the glass on the solo stem golden although I don't let it get like some of the guys. If you look in the solo thread back a few pages you will see one that doesn't even resemble a stem anymore.

I said it can in fact build a little bit of resin, so you're not really disagreeing with me. If it burns off quickly for you, great. If you see absolutely nothing coming out, go ahead and use it. I'm just wondering how many times I'm expected to cycle this mf before I can get the same result. 25 didn't do it for me.

with mine that 'mystery vapor' was pretty much gone after 1-2 cycles, at least strongly diminished

That is very interesting as I have 2 units in my hand that I cannot get to stop giving off vapor. 1 has had some herb loaded way in the past, the other has never been loaded ever.(also want to mention despite their different histories, they both do the exact same thing. same amount of mystery vapor that doesn't smell like herb.) Perhaps you are just telling yourself it is strongly diminished because you want it to be. If you do an objective test I bet you won't be able to get it to go away completely. That is the only result that would satisfy me and should be everyone else's standard as well. I've been here for a loong time before registering, I've owned or used almost every kind of vaporizer and has never occurred with any other device.

I'm not trying to call you a liar here either, but with the experience I've had I'm pretty much forced to conclude that most of these do offgass permanently.

Put me down as another owner who had moderate outgassing that went away with time at higher temperatures. This has been discussed to death IMO.

Some really enjoy this guy (I'm one), others seem to hate it. That's cool, there's lots of other vapes to pick from. Good luck to them, lots of good advice available on the various forums. Perhaps a Pax?

You are right in the fact that this vape had something going on out of the box but I was a virgin at the time. I now have many vapes as you can see in my sig and I think I know the difference now. I have burned in all the vapes I have and they smelled like machine or electrical smells but it went away after a few burns. I did burn in the DV as well when I got it and I will say for a long time the taste wasn't great. If I can find when I bought it I would tell you but it was right when it was released. I don't even have a serial number on mine. So from then till now at some point that vapor went away. I have no reason to make it up in my head cause if it was gassing I don't need to use it I have others. I don't clean it that well often but when I do whatever vapor is coming out does go away but takes a bunch of burns after cleaning. This vape is very hard to clean and I even use a straw to suck out any particles.

Now if you have a new one and did 25 burns and it is still gassing I wouldn't use it either knowing what I know now. Return your units since you already tried two and get something else. May I suggest the INH since OF said pax lol. If you really want a wonderful clean taste the solo might be up your alley.

I myself love the DV but it is not at the top of my list since I got others I like better. Good luck finding what you need.

Im glad we can be civil, I just wish I could get an explanation and and an apology from davinci. Like I said their customer service is ignoring me again for the second time in a row. It's been a week and a half since they said I would get an email. Its frustrating having to call in so many times, just to speak with someone who really has no clue why its not working. But if they were a half-decent company they wouldn't be shipping offgassing units whatsoever in the first place.

That is true ej. I would call and ask for the boss if this jessica person isn't helping and making false promises which would really get to me. If she said we are low staffed cause we are all going on vacation I could handle that but not false promises so I hear you. I wouldn't even entertain speaking with her again or anyone else you have delt with previously.

From reading this thread they do care so they need to know that someone is not doing the right thing by a customer. Again I never dealt with them accept to ask one question when I first bought it. I have read people having the same issues as you. If you read back a few pages I think the owner gave his email and a special number. Maybe that will help

I don't think that was the owner, but I could be wrong. I think he was just posting a working number for support while they were having trouble. Here's my other problem with davinci. Someone from davinci has an account here and has been active in this thread pretending to care. That is an act. All it is. If they cared, they would answer my question which I have repeated like 10 times in this thread since it was new. They come and answer other's peoples questions, but when it comes to offgassing no no just deny that and ignore anyone else who asks about how their position is an inconsistent one. They don't wan't to answer this difficult question because they know it could destroy their business since they fucked up their product.
