Hey guys, got a Ploom back in Sept. - only used it once, got it back out tonight and charging it again - how long should it take? Been about an hour, still orange!

Any minute now buddy!

P.s.
Use that sucker! No use in having the most awesome portable vape out and letting it just sit!

If ur just gonna let it sit I'd love a spare at the ready! Lol

Hmm, still not green. :( I'll let it go another 30 minutes then pull out Da Buddha ;(

It may take a bit longer because the battery has never been conditioned. Pull it off the charger turn it on and give it a shake. What color flashes?

VaPeD&CoNfUsEd,
I can't give specific times, but I can attest that it takes a lit longer to charge from completely drained than from a partial drain. I remember once charging it an looking at it in what seemed a long time later and being surprised that it was still charging.

That's kind of what I was getting at too. He said he's only used it the one time so I doubt he's charged it more than once. Gotta condition that battery!

P.S.

its 4:20 somewhere.....
Has anybody gotten a flashing orange light? This is my second pax after a flashing blue light issue. It happened twice, I just clicked the mouthpiece down and up again. I was wondering if this could be another thermistor problem and its blinking orange instead of blue. Any thoughts? Other than that the pax is rocking.

Hey guys, just as we put the Buddha together the green light came on, took it about two hours. We switched over to it - so much easier sitting on the sofa than the big ole Buddha! ;)

How do you condition the battery?

Also - I noticed while cleaning it this morning there's something kinda loose on the mouthpiece pole/tube. Is there a washer or something that should be there?

To condition use it until its dead a few times and fully charge it each time it dies. There should be a small loose machined washer on the mouthpiece tube so that's normal. Also just a tip I try to pass on to people let it cool b4 you put it on the charging dock. If its still hot the resin wants to drip down and cause problems. Keep her clean and she'll treat you right. Pax on brotha!

I have seen it very occasionally too, like you said turning it on and off always fixes it so I never worried

I've had it start blinking orange during warm up and also once when I took it off the charger so I'm not sure what the cause is... I think the Pax just likes flashing different colors

Hmm - I don't see a washer just an upper thing and lower thing on the tube with a ring in between that looks like where a washer would go?

Thanks on the conditioning tip, will do.

Look in the vaporpedia page on the pax. There's a nice comparison pic of the Pax mouthpieces. You probably have the old style MP since u got ur pax closer to launch. Email ploom and they will send you the updated MP free of charge! They'll probably even throw in a cleaning kit, the mouthpiece lube and stickers and refrigerator magnets as well!

Click on the link I posted! It can be the best reference companion for a paxer!

So, since my Cloud has been busted (since Dec 20th, waiting on replacement [this is my 3rd broken Cloud]), my Pax has been my daily driver. I took it on a trip on Dec. 5th - 16th, and have been using it daily. I also have an Extreme Q, but the Pax just completely destroys it in my opinion.

Anyhow, I used to be a medium -> high vapor usage pattern but lately I've just been staying on high cause it's cold in my room. I feel it causes my throat to get harsh, and I've been coughing like I've been smoking, but I know I'm still vaporizing. I just think it's on the high end on side. But I'm not really complaining. The clouds I get from my Pax are pretty intense.

I've been cleaning it, but noticed that from my trip, it was a lot easier to use in the hot climate (didn't require as much cleaning). I gotta go to the store and get some more pipe cleaners. I'm too lazy LOL

Anyhow, the point of this is that my Pax has not failed me, it's going strong since the day I got it, and the company is solid. I really appreciate it.

You know what would be sick, a pipe cleaner in the shape of the mouthpiece for cleaning LOL :-). That would rock.

What I'd like to see is like a pollen press in the shape of the pax oven to press out little "cakes" that could be thrown in. It'd work for kief or ground flowers u could even mix small amount of oils or waxes into little pre-pressed "pax cakes" I thought cakes would be a good term since pax calls their heating chamber their oven!

P.s.
Ploom, if your lurking in this thread and I see a "pax cake" press hit the market, I'll be awaiting my check! Lol or atleast some free pax goodness!

Ah, OK, I have the one on the left with the piece that slides a little bit. I assume it is supposed to slide a little bit!

I have yet to find out how to activate party mode. I've tried rolling it and spinning it but only the battery light flashes. It sounds so neat but I can't do it!

Hold it horizontally in front of you and roll it towards you like 3 times. Go to YouTube and search pax party mode.

Has anyone confirmed what party mode actually does? Does it just prevent standby and flash the LEDs?
