If I were to try using budder in the omicron, would that clog it up? Or does it have to be a pure oil in the cartridges?

Good question, in my experience some are fine as they just have a lot of air whipped into them as part of the purging I'm told, never done it or seen it done. Other grams I've tried, looking about the same, failed because there was something else (apparently thicker) mixed in with the THC I wanted.

The only sure test I know is 'the foil test'.

Good luck.

Got a question for the trouble shooters here, (sorry this is my first post on this forum),
My issue: Omicon V2

Light blinks after 1-2 seconds of holding button - I have recharged all the batteries, I have purchased new batteries ( 2 of them) but it still does this. It does this with 1.5 Carts and 2.4 carts, but if I put a 5 Ohm cart it does not do this. The light stays on and I can feel the heat slowly build up in the cart, but a 5 Ohm cartridge wont be powered by the omicron v2 but it is kinda wierd the light blinking issues does not happen while this cart is on. I have also tried a new 1.5 and still get blinking lights.

I have since bought a Persei and am having no issues, but I would like to see if I can fix my Omicron as well. Thanks for any assistance, I have bought this from a third party site so, let me know if buying the warrenty is the only way I can fix this issue.

First off, howdy, welcome to the fun. Sorry to meet you under dark skies but that happens a lot......

Sounds to me like one of two faults is going on. Either heat is building up in the electronics and shutting them down (should see a difference in time between 1.5 and 2.4 Ohms in that case) or more likely the overcurrent circuit is being tripped because it's misreading the current. Either is fatal, and both have the same unfortunate solution.....replacement. Nothing you can do from the outside to help, time to 'open a ticket' with D9.

I hope it gets sorted out quickly. Such problems are not uncommon, many of us have replacement D9 heads. Fortunately their Customer Support is aces. Too bad about the holiday, but they may be manning the shop today, I'd open the ticket right away.

Good luck.

Question about getting the hammer attachment:

So I have the Omicron V. 2 Matte Black and I want to get the hammer attachment(its a ceramic heating rod). The description says I need new batteries and a new top for this thing to work, but I don't see these products on the website? It looks like just buying the hammer itself and screwing it in it would work as long as I get the right batteries, or do I need something else?

I was wondering what would be the best setup for the 3.7v Hercules?
I have the 7.4 HVD top and bought a 2.5 top but it doesn't heat up anymore. I heard the original top would eventually burn out after extended use with the Hercules so I definitely don't want to do that if theres another option.

You are correct.

The hammer runs on 7.4v, while the HVD top does 7.4v the two 14250 batts you need for 7.4v would be drained very quickly, maybe before the hammer ever pre heated. I believe we where told that the Hercules 7.4v would damage the HVD top which could mean the hammer probably would as well, whether it will damage it or not it just won't work.

The hammer top is for the Persai and will not fit the Omni, the electronics may be beefed up with the Hammer top or not but the switch is press for on, press again for off so you don't have to hold the button down the entire time. Sorry trying to link the pages but Delta9 site has been giving me problems the last few days, I will edit later when I can get it to open.

I'll be in SF as well, we should meet up somewhere if you have time. PM me if so.

Hey Dub, any chance you'll be near the Anaheim area later this month? I'm going to be visiting for the NAMM convention and would love to meet up!

Indeed, I'll see what's up and let you know. Got plans on the 26th? You should roll to the event either way!

ive got an Omi cart from way back. from before they were pre heated to prevent any negative flavors... anyway, the cart has gotten pretty clogged and the normal stuff isnt fixing it anymore. i know there is more oil in there and i want to get at it.

can the Omi carts be soaked in Iso to reclaim whats left? or would that be a bad idea?

I don't know for sure but the Thermovape team broke an Omi cart down on Youtube, and there was different bits of rubber/plastic in there; wick and solder also. Not sure any of those materials would be safe for an ISO soak. I don't know if I've seen anyone say they do this.

G can probably give you a more exact answer.

thanks Ace. i thought i remember it being discussed before, but i never heard what the conclusion was.

i suppose i can always torch it upside and let whatever is left fall out.

I was going to suggest that.

This is pretty much the only reason I prefer the DART over Omi carts. Though I suppose you can't beat pre-loading a bunch of Omis and heading out on the town.

I have seen ISO reclaim mention numerous times in this thread. Gentle heat is another way to get the oil out. The cart claims .2-.3g that you won't be getting back. I personally find the heated reclaim to be worthless for vaping but is great for edibles, then again I will trash a cart with a 1/2g in it when it slows to much or tastes like crap.

You do 'get back' that .2-.3g of oil, the next time you fill it.

The iso soak has been mentioned here many times and I myself have used this method. Personally, I do it to have a clean cart again as opposed to gathering the reclaim but yes, it works.
