No point in driving up there to see a makeshift setup. That roof collapse did a number I'm sure. The last thing they probably want is people stopping by.

Lol can you tell that I've already heavily considered the driving route

And yes 6-7 hrs is too far for me.

I drive in LA traffic everyday, sometimes a half hour drive is too much for me.

So it's not just something that I can just pick up and go.

Granted if I was in SF I'd have no excuse. They couldn't get rid of me, I'd be poppin in all the time to see what else they're coming up with.

I am about the same as you jam around 13 hours but only 8 from LA hehe. I can't sit at all without extreme pain. When I had to fly in Sept, I bought the row of seats so I could lay down. Sitting is my worse enemy even with the expensive wheelchair cushions. I can sit a little longer in my chair then my car but I do pay a heavy price for any sitting hence why I stay in bed.

That is very interesting! It's nice learning things like that, white zirconia ceramic is quite ALOT stronger. I wonder what was TETs influence to design the Cera with this certain material, like out of all thousands of things why this specifically? They've already shown us many reasons why and I'm definitely sold. But I wonder what else they considered for the Cera before they made their final decision with the Zirconia Ceramic, great idea IMO.

But I do love the idea of engraving and also different wood designs on it like TET mentioned randomly, I also mentioned minerals like gold/ black onyx.

We're talking about one classy vaporizer here.

Ahem* not to mention MADE IN USA *cough cough

I have wondered that myself! I hope it is strong enough to hold up to me. I spend a lot of time in the garage, don't ask why, with concrete floors. Time will tell how many 36" drops it can take from onto concrete. In my mind it is a small price to pay for a easily sterilized material. I like to share and be communal with herb but most means of sharing are completely unsanitary.

I am very excited to order this once the pre order saga is done with. I have to admit it will take some time to get used to sucking on a device that looks like a woman's personal massager.

Why do you spend so much time in your garage?

Lol just kidding, next to a dog a garage is mans best friend

And nice name changer "woman's personal massager" not so vulgar as DILDO. Lol.

But I liked TETs last post about the maple oak and what not.

You'll see Diddy and Kanye sucking on these things covered in diamonds at the clubs in no time.

I think TET is losing money now because most prospective buyers are waiting for the return of reviews that will be test by the "pre-order customers" to begin to buy the CERA....
So, imho, the situation is blocked as long as we have not received the ceras and given our opinion above ;)

Well, the Cera thread is not much fun anymore.:ugh: I wonder why TET has been so quite lately, seems strange. I know they have a lot going on, but still. Maybe they are doing some fine tuning...:brow:

I think time for this have past ! Initially, we would have had the Ceras before Christmas... then TET says they send them for Christmas... now, nothing ! We have to wait now after New Year.....
I know they had problems with a roof fall... but they said that the Ceras was okay, no destruction of Ceras by the roof fall... So I don't understand why shipments are delayed due to the collapse of the roof  It has nothing to do ... or I don't understand nothing at all !!!
Then, after the roof, it's the batteries that they've not received ! (but they can send to customers who don't order battery, no ??!)
Sorry to say that, TET, but if I do that with my customers (I have a plumbing company), I will lost all of them !!!
So sorry, but I still do not see the relationship between the loss of the roof and the sending of the Ceras.........
I want to believe in your honesty, TET, but it should give valid explanations... or say us that Ceras are gone! :)

As a contractor I see this all the time with the trades, there are plenty of people who over book their schedule and are hard to get to the job when they are needed, and you are correct that I never use them again.

I see pre orders under a different light. Pre order projected shipping dates are just that, projected, every pieces of the puzzle needs to be delivered for assemble for shipping to happen when projected. Say you need only 10 parts for assembly and those 10 parts come from different manufactures , they all estimate a delivery date with in two weeks of each other, maybe you pad the shipping dates by two more weeks for some delays and assembly. Great, should be smooth as glass, LOL, it never happens smooth, it only takes one key part to be delayed or something not built to spec in final production runs and bam, delivery for those pre orders is delayed a month or more.

There is another company that has one of their new tops held up in customs with no sign of it being released, how do you think people that pre ordered that feel? While I am sure some are asking for their pre order money back there are a lot of folks that said they would just wait until it was released from customs. They have been waiting much longer then for this Cera.

Well, I for one am not getting too bent out of shape over this delay. Stuff happens, and this group here seems to be extremely impatient. I won't argue over who's right and wrong, that I don't really care about. TET has come in and said they are waiting on some parts, so we must wait a few more days for them to be ready, that's just how it is. We can choose to sit back patiently and wait, or complain the whole way through, are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet??? I know this thread was designed for releasing our thoughts and j(g)ibberish so have at it, but please think, at least a little, about how much demand and pressure we are placing on this company who continues to strive to make us happy, despite how ungrateful many of us can get when we are not getting what we think we want. I agree that the release lost it's momentum when things didn't happen as planned, but who can honestly be angry when there were forces beyond any human control affecting the situation? Just try to put yourself in their shoes a bit here folks, and show a little compassion and patience. We are at the weekend now, probably won't be seeing any updates till at least monday, if that, I would guess, so enjoy your time, and the Cera will be ready soon enough.

I agree with you Jamband, there may occurs problems and I know this kind of problems that can occur in all businesses, but what I blame (gently :) ) to TET is to not inform us in detail each day, given the situation.... It's okay for me to support TET problems, but TET must thinks that they have many customers waiting for just a little good new... When you are a professional, you must be present and meet customer expectations :myday:

I prefer TET sent me a mail telling me that I would be delivered in a month, rather than to know nothing.
In Spain, every day we say "mañana" !!!

I too think it would be a wonderful thing to have TET update us more often, it would take away some of the guess work, but they are by no means obligated to do so, even as a professional company. The fact that they offer direct involvement here in the forum is a privilege. The amount of time and energy they have already shared with us with all the videos has been more than generous, and yet look at what is happening. No matter which way they turn, somebody is unhappy. They come in with projected dates, and when they are not met, people complain. They decide to hold off and not give dates so we won't continue to be disappointed, and people still complain. I can see from their side, they would feel a bit pushed into a corner. We are building up a lot of anticipation for the release, and we know it will be relieved very soon now. Hopefully people will try to relax a bit and enjoy what is left of 2012. All good things in all good time...

................No matter which way they turn, somebody is unhappy...

Of course.... it's the game of percentages with regards to personalities and bound to happen regardless of what is said. It's also a part of business unfolding with the course they chose to take in promotion.

I'm still confident, because of their past history in the ecig business, that they will 'eventually' come through and that many will be more than satisfied with their product 'once' received.

My only negative view on how this is all going down, is that TET's 'pre-order' was a 'PAID' pre-order (unlike from others in the past), and that (IMHO), puts the onus on TET to keep paid customers up to date on progress/delays.

I think if people would stop calling them and emailing them they can work instead of answering the same stuff over and over.

You are correct smokum because it was a paid pre-order they should be sending mass emails to those that ordered saying there was a delay and it will take about a month to get it all straightened out but no promises. Ok there you all go it was said even though I am making it up lol.

Just a vent...I hate customs and the dumb rules. I had to send those two capsules back to PV and sent my caregiver to the post office. What a fuckin' mess. I swear after I get my order if I still do it from PV I am done with buying stuff from Canada. I don't know how you international people who have to buy from the US deal with this customs shit. I think they just fuck with you. The stupid post office wanted her to fill out a customs form yet didn't have any. So they just sent it and said we don't know if it will get there nice. I told you I should have thrown them out.

In all my years of buying stuff from catalogs and whatever and internet when it came to be I never had to return stuff till I got into vapes.

Rant done and I didn't put it in the cera thread even though this is off medical marks post but it didn't belong there as most stuff doesn't....ok now rant done thanks for not reading this.

Just a guess: she told them they were a return, and they told her she needed a form for that.

I've been though this from this side of the border, and it's bureaucratic bullshit. I've done successful product returns without a form even though they claimed I needed one. I've also ignored the requirement for a form when I've shipped things into the US for repair and return. It's never been an issue except for the clerk who said I had to have one. I strongly doubt that your capsules will not be delivered because of that missing form.

I've done a lot of cross-border purchases and I've had vapourizers sent to me from the US without the slightest hitch. Screw-ups happen but I think in general, both Canadian and US Customs are not a problem. All of my bad experiences have been because of the exorbitant "brokerage fees" extorted by the shipping companies. In my case, it's always been UPS but I understand FedEx has a similar "service". I don't know if they work this scam on your side of the border. In theory they do some customs expediting on your behalf, but in fact they just bill you.

I have stopped doing business with any company in the US that won't ship by USPS. When you use the postal systems packages just arrive. If there is a tariff then the Post Office just collects the duty, they don't tack on a fat service fee. The thing is, under NAFTA few things incur duties these days so most of the time there is no reason for the shipping company to do anything for you. That's why the Postal Service just delivers your package.

tl;dr: Cross-border business usually isn't a hassle if you stick to the Post.

I guess I should have been told what to say when the usps asked cause you know they are going to. All I was told was to only write X on the envelope. I needed more instruction then that as it turns out. I guess it will arrive according to you so we will hope. I asked PV to email me when and if it does. It was just frustrating and I wasn't even at the post office lol.

I really appreciate that explanation paka although all these rules are still dumb and like you said bureaucratic bullshit.
