Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I've been wanting a DG mini can but have been concerned about it being short relative to the Cloud (seems like it would put the Cloud in one's face). On the other hand, I don't do well with tall tubes so I've steered clear of those DG's, too. So your mini works fine despite it being smaller? Do you think a Cloud Buddy would make much difference one way or another?
It fits fine on the top like that one guy said but you do need to hit it from the side otherwise yes the cloud is kind of in your face. Still an amazing hit though.

I'm approching enough funds for a 450$ Cloud I've preordered. Unfortunately, 450$ is now a standalone Cloud price while HT Cloud packages cost 550$+ now. I will never get a Cloud if the price will keep running off my budget. I hope it doesn't get any more expensive when they open to the world (Or if they will keep 450 price for preorders, that would save me, but than preorderline is dead i think). It's slowly approaching the double of the very introductory 350$ price. When I started saving money for this beast, I expected paying 450+150(tax) in the future, not 650+250 how I predict it in the 2013. Not to mention 300$+ repairs. Also all those prices just don't make sense to me. I mean the standalone Cloud seems like 100$ more expensive than a Cloud in a HT package etc.

I know both Cloud and HTs are now even better so can be more pricey than before, but still remeber your fifth goal:

450 was affordable, but now imo its on the edge.
How would repairs be $300? Also IDK what tax is by you but it definitely won't be $150 in tax? Where are you getting your numbers?

Someone made mention (noserub, I believe) that VapeXhale would sell him a refurbished unit for $290 and that they don't make repairs for GonG breakage. I think that's where he got that number. But not sure if that is an official policy or at the discretion of VapeXhale.

Hello there! Always had an interest in vaporizers, used my friends' but never wanted to pull the trigger. Felt like there wasn't a quality enough option around. Reading this thread has convinced me it may be time to get one and save my lungs :)

What do you guys think about the 2.0 Hydratree? Vertical slits on the trees should affect diffusion, but I don't necessarily want more diffusion than need be, because taste is the most important thing. The SSFG Hydraline has really caught my eye as well, but I'm wondering if the amount of diffusion in the Hydraline diminishes taste? Can anyone with some hands on experience chime in? Contemplating just getting the glass mouth piece and saving the extra for a totally separate piece to go with the cloud down the road, a mobius or something similar possibly.

If you want less diffusion and the most flavor the best option would most likely be the ShowerCap. It's out of stock ATM but this is what I'm talking about

You live in America I guess? Us international guys have to pay tax for anything coming over across the pond, I will have to pay 20% extra on my cloud when I can get a warrantied one. Had to pay it for glass before, once you factor in the international shipping it quickly adds a lot to the cost. Obviously this is no ones fault and I'm not bitching, I perfectly understand that this is how it goes and have known it from the start.
It doesn't bother me but it is a bit disheartening to see the constant price increases, I can see that hydratubes are getting fancier though which does explain it.

About repairs, I believe if you break your bamboo you can buy certain clouds set aside for these sorts of scenarios for around $300, plus shipping, plus tax. Obviously we are all gonna' try and be careful.

Dementum,
Yeah that one looks nice but it is out of stock, and more expensive. Hmm we shall see.
From what I heard it has the slightest diffusion and which in turn gives it the best taste. If I were you I would buy one of those new tree ones you were looking at because they come with the detachable mouthpiece. So if you really want the taste you can just use the dry mouthpiece for that and when you want/need diffusion you can use it attached to the waterpiece. Best of both worlds.

Yes, that's where I got the 150, 250 added. It's just my estimation though.

Yes, but it doesn't explain the 450$ base price of mouthpiece Cloud while mouthpiece alone is just 40. And more price anomalies to find.

They mentioned they are developing some more modular design for Cloud, so it will be cheaper and easier to replace the bamboo. I hope they will arrive with this update soon, irreplaceable bamboo makes people anxious. Also I hope they will get some distributors in EU, so we won't have to pay so high customs.

I don't believe that the Showercap comes with a detachable mouthpiece.

edit: Misread your post, yeah it's a tough call. Those look like shorter mouthpieces than a standalone, would the vapor be harsh at all?

No I have made my own set up here before they offered the dry stuff and it isn't harsh at all.

Just take out the mini HT and you have a dry mouthpiece. I have used it multiple times with great success.

So the only negative I could say about the cloud is the cord can get in the way. I believe its only because they used a super heavy duty plug rather than something more flexible. I would hardly say its a complaint as they chose durability over comfort. I am so in love with the cloud it's not right - I get a whole new level of medicated with this unit. Off the same amount of mj that I use in other units I am getting sky high!

I love my HydraLine. The chamber is <1.5oz and the diffusion very efficient. My usual herb is not particularly great as far as taste, but a friend came by with some quality fruity tasting herb and both of us were very pleased. The Showercap is probably better because there is so little water, I imagine it's almost like going dry. But if you like good diffusion and moisturizing while retaining taste, the HL is IMO very sweet.

I got to admit, it was a little easier choosing just between "circ or tree?" by the same blower, same price :ko:

Vertical slits should diffuse more because it'll producing smaller bubbles. However, simply having a low/very low water level should preserve all the flavor you could want :2c:

My cloud is 30 miles away as of 5pm. Shipped Friday, usps priority.
The deal got across the country, from being picked up Friday, pm, to 3000 miles away this evening.
The tracking # was useless until just now when I checked it.

How cool is this? Since its at a sort facility it may be here tomorrow.

I'll be able to actually figure out what I ordered for $ 574.99.

Went with the Hydraline. You can tell that compared to the other HTs currently offered, it gives milky rips the most consistently. With the 25 bucks I save compared to the 2.0 or showercap, I'll get a nice glass mouth piece at the headshop my best friend works at. This way I get the full flavor, and also the hydrated milk clouds. Hopefully this thing gets here before friday

To celebrate the New Year, we are offering 15% off of all glass until midnight including all VXC 2.0 HydraTubes that we just introduced. ALL HydraTubes with the 2.0 designation will feature the splashguard on the dewar joint to minimize the chance of water going down the bamboo. They also come with their own HydraFoot as well. While the dry mouthpiece is a shorty mouthpiece, we found that it can be used alone with your Cloud as well. Happy New Year everyone!
