Vaping with others (GERMS)

What's up everyone,

I was just wondering how the rest of you deal with vaping with others and not swapping spit, so to speak . I like to use alcohol wipes to clean off the mouth piece after each persons turn. Some of my friends seemed offended in a way saying "you think I have something?". I don't know I just don't want other people grems. What do you guys think?

When you take a sip of sacramental wine at church, what does the cup bearer do before the next person takes their turn? They wipe the rim . . . duh. In this day and age, good sanitation/safety is just plain good common sense.

I have an impaired immune system so it goes both ways. I clean before the hit to protect myself, and after to protect others. Who really knows where the cooties are hiding at any given moment eh? But wiping before and after, I think, is a courtesy to the others around you. Maybe instead of an alcohol swab between every hit you could sterilize at the start of the session and then just have a quick mechanical wipe with like a microfiber cloth between users?

Cleanliness is paramount for this vapist, and a lot of others here I think you'll find as well, especially with glass. There is nothing like beautiful, squeaky, clean, glass

same for me, you can't even wipe ff a joint. ofcourse it's good etiquette to not slobber all over it.
but I think the emphasis on avoiding germs etc till the extreme (in general, in our culture) is over the top. ofcourse there are cases where hygiene is important, like hospitals, around people with weaker immune systems etc, but my view is that as long as your immune system is ok, it needs some excercise too. there is also research saying that children growing up around animals/on farms get fewer allergies, and the reason that eur[eans had so much deseases like the flu while the indians didn't have much resistance to those was partly because europeans lived closely with cattle and other domesticated animals, and so frequently deseases where passed to humans but therefor these humans also had a resistance to it.

I wouldn't be offended by a clean before and after. Its just showing some respect and hygiene. I don't have to think about it cause I don't share frequently, people around me still prefer combustion

Yesterday I pushed a friend into getting a full session on the MV, and I didn't thought about cleaning the piece while we were hitting on it. I just cleaned it after, with a vinegar spray and a fresh cotton tissue. Large mouth pieces doesn't touch the lips, that seems more hygienic compared to whips and stuff.
Maybe next time I will wipe it a bit between hits. I always do it when I'm solo.

I wouldn't care if people got offended, especially if they are at my house using my stuff I think a box of disinfectant wipes would be handy. You can find ones that are just alcohol and nothing else.

As for me, I thankfully don't have to worry about germs....I am the germiest of my group of friends, so it's their problem.

I'm don't think a quick wipe with your shirt sleeve would serve any purpose for germs, but if you get sick often, even colds, then you may have a weak immune system and be better off sanitizing before you hit. Personally, I'm not worried about germs unless someone is actively sick, but I'd go for a quick wipe to get rid of wetness. Swapping spit with guys on a mouthpiece doesn't appeal to me. When I used to smoke joints I'd often use my finger and thumb as a mouthpiece, and just hit it harder to keep my lips off the community joint.

That should have been the first thing I thought of. Going to look at the ingredients shortly.

I used to love joints, but only as a solo venture. I get super grossed out by wet joints and let me tell its happened far too many times. Some ppl I know just dont understand to not deep throat the J first. But I digress, Im a vape man 100% now.

Im currently looking into a nice glass piece for my EQ, it def seems more hygienic than the whip.

i work with ppl. that have compromised immuhe systems i think about this too. I have a cera on order and am considering a few extra mouthpieces so everyone gets a clean one each time. in the past i have gotten very ill from sharing at large parties or gatherings with a bunch of ppl. i also wonder if because we inhale deeply and often hold in the hit if that could be bad with unsanitary equip. or lead to more respiartory problems. Generally i only want to share germs with the lady im already sharing garms with.

I feel ya, yet with joint if this occurs I usually use my lighter to burn the filter a little bit ... in few seconds its dry and clean

I took a look at the label and it says the only two ingredients are: 70% Alc. and water. Im thinking as long as it drys before using the piece I should be OK.

I used to use a cheap one hitter that looked like a cig and that thing gave really hot hits. This thing must melt your face off.

If its theses kind of wipes, its fine, kinda similar to alcohol spray and cotton cloth method that I sometimes use, in a more disposable way

I checked mine and they are also "Made in China". I checked a few stores around me and it's the same thing everywhere. I heard vinegar can be used as a disinfectant, but I have to do a bit more research on this. It's kind of smelly though.

I have a recipe for that, perfect hygiene, no taste, no rinse : distilled water 98% ; citric acid 2% ; vegetable glycerin 2% ; put it in a spray, spray in and wipe with clean towel.
