You're not right about "NObody but OF and the ones building them have even seen one", there are other Beta testers (who by conventional rules I don't know) and I have personally shown mine to 3 other guys who have tried it, one of whom has self identified here (although he only took a single toke IIRC). One is a serious 'nail head' who tried to buy the Beta unit from me, has one on order as I understand, and plans to put his 'rig' into semi retirement.

I can assure you the videos you saw were real, and the quality seems at least as high as T1 and the other TV products many of us know and trust. Please remember I have the exact oil cart used in the first video? It is quite real.

To those who enjoy good gear, or like being early adopters of cutting edge stuff I can honestly advise 'get on board' based on my experiences.....you get to decide if I'm lying or am a paid shill after all.

Hi OF
I knew you would get me on the number of testers right after I posted, But I said what the hell let OF have some fun w/me. But it sure seems like theres a lot of praise for something that almost nobody has used. The videos I was refering to I think most understand what I ment and by no means was it that anybody was lieing, just stating a fact.
And for you advice on the Cera if I didn't think highly of you opion then I would have never placed my order based on it.
Anyway this should all be over soon, they can have time to fix the website and everything else and everybody will be happy as can be.

@menz the other vapes you stated do free shipping from most vendors.

I think the point menz was trying to say is that you can't compare the pricing since it doesn't include batt and charger. This means you aren't comparing apples to apples. We all know cera is better materials and is not by any means overpriced. I suppose there should be a package price which would be exactly what it is now 300 to help people who have no idea what is going on who aren't on FC. I know it says but people do get confused. Shipping also needs to be stated. Vape sites are bad at this since the don't have a place to put in your zip code to just get shipping costs before you do anything. I hate all sites that don't have that personally. It doesn't always stop me from buying but it makes me mad since it isn't that difficult to just add a script to the site. On non vape sites I regularly put in any old name and addy just to get the shipping charges which is a PITA. It doesn't apply to vapes nearly as much since you really can't shop around on some vapes but it matters if you need to have enough money.

thank you Dreamerr for clarifying my point exactly!!! i never said the Cera was overpriced. i know it is made with great materials that cost money.

I think is great that TET is not trying to sell a battery and charger to those who don't need it, like a cable company making you pay for channels you don't even want, but I also agree with mmenzie and I feel an asterisk should be placed next to the price.

OF, is there a reason why I can't see your posts every time I'm logged in? I can see your reply to this post in my other computer if you know the answer, or do you think this post should be directed to the mods?

Yeah, lwien... I noticed a lot of those, while I was shopping. I almost bought the larger Mobius bubbler (non-DI) from Kulture, but decided against it, when I decided I wanted to try and stay closet to $300. This DR I got, kicks ass.

Plus, it keeps my GAS alive and kicking, since I can still lust after a Mobius. Besides... I'm getting one this summer. I already know that.

It's the law of attraction. You want it and you shall receive it!

Of course you weren't. But I've been accused of it by other Forum Members....and worse. I was awkwardly saying 'take my word or not, I don't care'. I'm reminded of my favorite Pierre Trudeau quote (only one I know, come to think on it...) from when the Watergate tapes caught Nixon calling him 'that asshole'. When asked without warning by the press what he thought of the President of the United States calling him an asshole, he thought a moment and said 'I don't know, I've been called worse things by better men'. The attitude I hope to take in the future?

Anyway, back on topic, I agree it's frustrating waiting and wondering. You're local, right? Tell you what, PM me let's see if we can set something up in the next few days......then you can tell everyone what you think?

I've already showed it off a few times, a few more wouldn't hurt. Maybe we can even figure out how to get a few more folks involved?

Boy, you've got me. There's a bunch of guys that might consider not seeing my posts a great feature.....

Do I understand you can see the post in question on one machine but not the other? Strange. Do the numbers on the posts make sense?

Again I don't see how it is confusing at all? It clearly states that the battery and charger are not included.
It's not confusing to me, but when you see prices for basically every other vape it's the whole package. The $250 becomes $300 before taxes and shipping. It's a bit higher priced if you're coming from a clean slate, but that doesn't change the fact that it's in a class of it's own.

$250 is the least you can spend on it, with the assumption that you've already got the batteries and charger that will function with it. And while I know this is highlighted, I can see why someone would think "oh 250 i can do that" only to realize it's gonna be another 50 and then they'd rather not bother. It seems like they're really gearing it up to be towards the "already have one or more vaporizers" folk.

They are changing to a "choose exactly what you want" kind of deal, and I for one think it is a great platform.
The people that don't have the battery and charger don't have to spend the extra 50 bucks though, they can simply head to another place and get a suitable replacement (although may not have quite the same battery life) for less money. If you look around you can find a battery and charger combo from elsewhere for 15-30 bucks. It won't be the same battery or charger but should work if you trust the sellers specs. TV is giving their buyers the choice to decide what route they want to go instead of shoving their choice down your throat.
I will be going with TV's recommendation though as they are most likely more qualified to pick the best suited combo than I am.

This price point topic has been beaten to death. Can we move on?

I concure, I'd much rather see discussion about the batteries. 18650 are the required type but they vary in size(those not provided by TV). If one was to purchase batteries, other than those from TV, what size(physically) would be needed? Also, these batteries have no affect on the warranty, right?

Hey, I hear OF's throwing a party. Gotta check my air miles.

Sounds like a plan to me. Maybe this is a good time to rehash one of my lame ideas. You know those wine tasting tours they run around here? You know, limo so you don't get snockered and drive too much? How about we do the same thing for Dispensary tours? Or maybe make it into a day trip to Humbolt county where all that lovely bud is coming from? Visit a few grows, sample some of their finest, buy a bit for the trip back? We're not that far away from that what with Washington and Colorado..... Maybe we start small, like with the gambler's special bus tours to Reno and Los Vegas? We jump on the dog and next stop is the land of unrestricted adult recreational use?

Prolly be hard to get folks back on the bus again I'm thinking.

Wow, strange. Maybe the software doesn't like me? You are refreshing it (changing forums or something), right?

Beats me, never happens to me...... (yeah, I know, but couldn't resist).

Here we go again......

TV has not said what the maximum size is, the Beta unit I have is not the final version in this area so measuring mine is useless really. I have nine (IIRC the count I did a few days back in response to this topic) different 18650s that are button top, they all work fine in mine. Standard button top batteries will work I think, but there are lots of makers that cheat on that so nobody can say 'all are fine' without trying them first.

IMO it's not a real issue.

No, it will not impact the warranty as written.

Would it be possible to have the bus driver stop in Indiana on his way to Humbolt County?

Yep the pick only what you need is a cool concept for sure. Less land fill down the road too.

I would be a little cautious about using other batteries expecting the same performance but just for a shorter time.. The spec which is usually missing is the internal resistance. If a battery has a spec of 6.2 amps continuous running you'd assume good for a 4 amp application, correct? Not always so, the battery might delivery the 4 amps but because of internal resistance the voltage will be lower. By how much? Depends on that spec which is not usually given outright which is internal resistance.
However, having said that, it is correct that there are likely tons of much lower priced batteries which will do the job but at this point we do not know which ones. TET has tested and supply only batteries which will perform the task.

Check your settings...you must have OF on ignore or block on that computer which makes no sense but check it. If you are logged in on both computers the site should block on both.

Sounds like you have him ignored.

Bingo! Great call. I don't have anyone ignored, so no first hand experience.....

I'm also sure you're not the only one ignoring me that way.....you must have had a reason....maybe you'd better rethink this?

Thanks HAL!

Would it be possible to have the bus driver stop in Indiana on his way to Humbolt County?

For an hombre? I say we make him (or her)....or no tip!

I'd totally be down for that! Too bad I live on the East Coast. :(

No worries. We'll need a bigger bus, more fuel and some box lunches to go with the munchies I'm thinking? Maybe we revive the grand days of rail travel? Run a coast to coast party car on regular service? At the SF end we can do a tour of the TV shop (build your own?), a nice bay cruse dinner........

I wonder if we can get Obamacare to cover it?

Hey everyone,

I see that everyone is really anxious about getting their Cera's! Its not too far away from this first shipment going out!

We designed the pricing structure around the requests that we got the most people, and so far from the orders that have been coming in its showing that many people already have their own batteries and chargers.

Once we get orders caught up and have time to start setting up new products we are going to offer more individual components so that you will be able to build your own modular Cera out of any material you want. Could you imagine a carbon fiber, Birdseye maple and Titanium Cera......

We have been facing some hurdles getting some of the parts delivered in the time frame they were promised. We apologize for the prolonged shipment time and are trying our best to get the parts in the shortest amount of time as possible.

You are all very important to us, both new and existing customers. We are trying our best to get the best Cera in your hands!

Cheers,
Tim
