Vaporizing causes severe paranoia after T-break...

I had taken about a month and a half T-break and have now started medicating daily again but I am finding that when I vaporize I get extremely paranoid which really takes away from what it's supposed to be for. Anyway, I have not switched strains (I've had this strain for nearly 20 years), and I am fine when I combust, any thoughts?

A high THC to CBD/CBN ratio "can" cause some paranoia.

The answer would either be to switch strains to lower that ratio, or vape at a higher temp to lower that ratio.

Yeah, looks like a lack of CBD & CBN. Try to get hotter
Maybe you need to build a bit of tolerance, or try another strain or vape ?

Yup. Many people like to really hype up how high the THC content is of their bud. For some, that's a good thing. For others though, it's not a good thing. For some, a higher CBD/CBN ratio to THC is a much better option.

could it also be a dosage thing coming off a break?

just another thing to consider.

good luck!

It would have something to do with the T-break in my opinion, its like going back to your first blaze, when, in reality your a daily vapor connoisseur. Have you ever tried a vape that is not flame powered? like a mflb, solo, eq, volcano, pax?

Lots, I tried a session the Vaporblunt 2.0 at level 3 setting with the same results.

My friends call me "Menz"
could it be now you are at a point that you think about it too much and its going to happen no matter what vape/strain/temp setting you use?? like you conditioned your brain to think about it so much that now that you are trying not to think about it, your brain still does?? i know when i try to push a song that is stuck in my head out it stays even longer cause i am trying to make it stop.

does that make any sense to anyone but me??

It's because you been using the same drug for over 20 years all drugs have side effects. You might be able to find another strain or even start getting imports that are grown in the ground from the earth like it has for thousands of years. But it's always going to come back to this it's not the weed not the way you consume it. When I vape/smoke/oral it's almost worse then being sober. I've seen a few threads on a few forums talking about this and they all say the same thing take a break. Well we both did that I was better before the break I'm not sure about you. Some say it's because our weed now days comes from closets not the earth.

Drink some type of fruit juice, preferably orange or welches grape, 15-30 MINUTES BEFORE YOU PUFF, along with 250mg of vitamin C, and lower the amount you load into the bowl. You might not need as much as you think.

I would try smaller dosage. maybe some tolerance is better for you, I have one friend like that who is more sensitive to weed as the average, if he hasn't smoked for a while he goes bad pretty easily, and he says that his first time high he had visuals. but if he has build up a bit of tolerance he doesn't go bad that easily and can just smoke along

When I switched from combusting flower to vaping it with a DBV I had more then a few paranoia episodes. For me it seemed to be vaping an excessive amount to try and get the same results as combusting, it was kind of fun, hadn't felt that way for over twenty years.

It seems to have subsided momentarily, I have no way of knowing what my THC content is I've had a patient test in the past test it for their own reasons and it came back 18% THC couldn't remember the CBD/CBN but it was CBD dominant. I must say also that the bud tested was fresh and was NOT entirely cured. I've been finding when curing recently it's about 6 weeks to have it primed and ready, so I'm assuming that the THC content only goes up after curing?

Actually, i think it is the CBD/CBN that go up with curing because the THC "morphs" into CBDs.

well, after reading this I have to ask you these questions.

have you ever had a PANIC ATTACK?

another Q, what kind of paranoid? that mom will catch you? that people are watching you to take you down? that johnny law is on to your habits? that your heart is beating too fast and feel you will die ? what exactly may I ask.

could be a bit of psychosis as well man.

I don't believe the word paranoia should have been used its more like extreme anxiety, all family members are aware of my usage so there is no need to fear. I just get bad anxiety, I switched to my recent Bubba Kush with the same anxiety issues. I'm usually fine after I peak and begin the come down but the road up is far less than ideal. It may stem from an overdose of THC yes I said overdose, my brother had some Rick Simpson oil he made for his patients, I had already eaten my daily edible but decided to try it anyway, and needless to say it made me freak the fuck out (couldn't sleep, couldn't breathe, dry heaves). I've been doing very small doses (always have I'm very conservative maybe use a gram a month daily medication). CRZ sized bowls in my VG have been ok.

Overdose, when referring to drugs, is usually taken to mean a dangerous situation often with a trip to the ER. But overdose is defined as 'too much' and you can certainly get too much THC in a single session, resulting in negative effects such as high anxiety.

Exactly just had too much, this Coming week ill exclusively use the VB 2.0 and see if there's a difference, I don't believe the lighter aspect of the VG has anything to do with it, I just want to see if different temperatures change anything.

That's a stretch
no psychosis is NOT a stretch in actuality , perhaps you should do your research before discounting the possibility , it IS possible and it DOES happen. Those that experience it have a genetic predisposition that makes them MUCH more likely to experience it, particularly after long term MJ use.

perhaps some reading at these links may help http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20110301/marijuana-use-linked-to-risk-of-psychotic-symptoms

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long-term_effects_of_cannabis

I do not believe this to be the case of the OP but do not dismiss a notion just because u do not know about it.

but , as I asked first did user ever suffer panic attack, and he has answered that he indeed has but just does not/ did not know the label of what was happening to him. weed can and does contribute to anxiety and panic. I have dealt with panic attacks, I know how they work and how fucking down right life threateningly scary they are when they are happening to you.

I will suggest u lay off weed all together until you get you panic issues in check. The brain is a very powerful beast, supremely complicated. This may sound or seem stupid but u have to reassure yourself that what you imagine is happening to your body is "all in your head" and not in your body. I have found a shower to be one of the best ways to head off panic attack. You get these thoughts of bad stuff in your head and can't seem to get rid of them. whatever it takes to get your brain to "think" of something else besides what you are panic-e about.

I hope in some way this helps you, these attacks are in your head but the "suggestions" such panic brings on are very real to you. the KEY thing you said , was "couldn't breathe" THAT is classic panic attack. I suggest you keep a small brown paper bag handy as most likely when u said u can't breathe you are hyper ventilating. wrap one hand around top half of bag, stick a finger into the top opening as if you were going to try to blow it up to pop the bag, place the opening of the bag to your lips and inhale and exhale with the bag kept to your lips.

pcpvapors feel fee to contact me via pm if you would like to discuss panic issues.

again, I hope to have helped in some way.

Very informative stone man and I thank you for your time and knowledge in this matter. My only issue I've encountered with all of this is the combustion aspect, in that I am fine when toking a bowl. I unfortunately cannot stop using MJ as I wouldn't be able to type this post let alone hold a coffee cup.
