Heady vs Sci glass

Hey gang,

I used to be a big fan of Jerome Baker Designs back in the day and still have one of his 22" mushroom tubes. I'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations regarding any online shops that carry more worked glass?

I have been thinking about getting a Sovereignty Stemline 60mm V6 or maybe a Mobius 60mm stereo matrix, but sometimes I just can't get past the fact that it is a more plain style of tube. I realized that they are amazing examples of quality and are beautiful in their own right, but I saw this Leisure tube the other day that makes me appreciate the form and function:

http://aqualabtechnologies.com/leisure-arty-worked-6-to-10-arm-beaker-collab.html

This thing has a 6arm diff for the downstem and a 10tree perc with worked glass, which I don't see as often anymore.

Does anyone have any opinions on the differences in functionality between the leisure & Arty tube vs one of the sci tubes (ie how will that 6arm down stem perform)? I love having unique glass, but I don't necessarily want to sacrifice functionality or diffusion.

Also, I have heard that too much diffusion will be bad for flavor when vaping, so I'm looking for a good balance. I will be hooking this up to an LSV and a cloud, to give you an idea of how it will be used.

Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for a good glass piece to be used with the Cloud, you're gonna want to find an 18mm piece. Even if an adapter works, its gonna cut down on the nice free flowing airflow of the cloud.

If you're spending over $400 on a worked piece, a boromarket subscription might be worth looking into. Could probably save well over $50 (It costs 50 to join unless someone vouches for you)

Hey thanks SD_haze, I totally missed that it was a 14mm slide...thanks for pointing that out! I need to pay attention to the specs, I guess.

I have not heard of boromarket, so I will look into it a bit more...thanks for the tip.

BTW. What part of SD are you in? I lived there for the last 17 years :leaf: , but just moved to the SF Bay in 2011.

Right on...I love OB. I lived there for 8 years...my favorite pad was on Pescadero Ave near Bermuda beach. I totally miss Winston's...I can't find a dive bar with good jam bands that is easy to get to up here since I live outside the city.

Anyway, say hello to OB for me! I'll be headed down there this summer...can't wait.

peace and clouds

noserub,
I love heady and sci. You can have the best of both worlds, just gotta have the money lol. Check out these Mobius-Snic pieces, I would love to own either one.
