CERA, the wait & gibberish thread

I expected to see a repost here in one of the Cera threads but it never happened, so I am posting the quote from the T1 thread from TET:

Wow, Thursday is cutting it close for New Years, I really hope that they actually ship out on Thursday. Thursday-New Years eve is 4 business days. The post office is closed on New Years.

TV promised expedited shipping on all preorders. for those of us in cali that basically means overnight shipping when You consider that they were gonna use USPS priority mail to begin with. Not really worried about myself. However I am concerned that oher customers that live futher away will have to wait past New Years.

Not gonna lie, if I don't have the cera in hand by Saturday I will be damn near inconsolable.

And I wonder how the 1st come 1st shipped works too. Cause I'm definitely part of the pre-order but I know I'm a little farther down the line than some of the earlier buyers. I'm guessing Friday, not complaining, that's just my guess.

I know! I'm in my mid-30's and so when I grew up there were 2 channels in English, and 2 in French here. That's it. Some TV's had the 1st generation remotes (on which most buttons never worked properly as TV's lasted much longer than remotes in those days), and others didn't.

I wonder about my kids and society at large and what will happen ... we're at a weird spot right now ... my kids don't even really understand there was a world without global communication and an Internet and the effects of globalizationdd that are coming to pass ... and society at large hasn't really figured out what to make of it ... we're just barely hitting our stride (things have changed so fast that the people that are currently ruling the world have yet to catch up to society at large ... not everyone ... but as a generalization it takes a long time for government and laws to catch up with society and currently society's rather messed up in itself as things are moving at such a pace that it leads to a huge cultural/social gap often between generations and classes and ... --ok--really rambling now ...)

Frasier makes me think of Kelsy and gross not fitting at all. So Jcat you can imagine how us older folk feel about you youngins and the ones behind you. This new world is scary. I have seen more between 1990 and around 2005 then I have read in books happening over 100 years or so. I started phasing out some new stuff cause it is just to much. Cell phones have put us on leashes.

so glad i decided to forgo the lighted switch. imo the lighted switch is just another thing to break. whether its the led dying or the transparent peice of plastic/glass cracking. i like the idea of the cera being a lifetime device, less stuff to break the better.

I'm ready to start making some noise, I haven't even received the email from them yet stating the battery issue! No updates what so ever, they should have sent it to every customer. It's amazing what company's could sell assuming they had everything in on time...

Not a sassy remark against TET I promise, this goes out to all businesses small or large.

I'm speaking the truth here. But slightly original batteries, skins, and lights are all things we can live without for now and I know many others and myself are just ready to have this thing in hand.

I feel bad for the people that bought these as Christmas presents, that REALLY SUCKS, and I'd probably be more upset if I did.


I just really hope that (other than the water damage) that wasn't what was holding them up considering it never happened.


I gotta call them in a bit and add some things to my list, maybe ill get some info!

Nice! I literally just called in and ordered a SS oil core to go with my SS LL Cera! And the car adapter. I was convinced by the lovely people in these forums.

Wise choice I made, I feel.



But, I was told shipping looks like late next week... Not sure what or when that means

I think people that bought it for xmas mostly bought it for themselves or gf or wives bought it for them. Now if it was for someone else it would have been sad but you would have to expect delays so still not a big deal. It will come and all will be forgotten like makeup sex.

im of the belief that you should er on the side of caution when giving customers an update.

why send an email saying new years if there is even a remote chance it wont happen? they really should practice conservatism in these situations. i could live with a later date. repeated dissappointment's i have a tougher time with.

i really hope that some ceras ship out this week. even if i dont get one. i just want someone to get theirs by the target date.

dont mean to offend anyone. but im a stickler when it comes to delivering on what you say
