Ed's TnT Wooden Vapor Tubes & Vapor Stems

Is the bowl size for the solo stems a bit bigger or smaller than stock? I tend to use my flowers sparingly. I am looking for a small bowl size. Thanks!

Thanks Ed for the fine stem. I got mine a week back and have been putting it through it's paces. It has a feature that others haven't noted, that I have seen, namely the advantages of a snug fit. It's nice to have the spaces for the air to come through. It's even nicer that the snug fit allows to to set your stem as close as you want it to be manually, giving you complete control over airflow. Also, in between hits, you can pull the stem further out by a small amount and it will remain there, so that your herb won't cook while yoiu are not hitting. It's certainly easy on the eyes and designed/built well. But what I dig is the functionality.

Good morning, still slammed in the shop trying to squeeze in a little time for duck hunting this week. Its season down here and I have been itching to pull a trigger! Hopen to kill a few woodies and mallards!

@Timmahsan, the solo stems are just slightly deeper than the stock glass stems. They may not be what youre looking for.

@JDR, thats what I like to hear! I am glad you are happy with your piece! Thanks for all the kind words! I like the snug fit also.

I only had enough blackwood for a handful of stems, just went live with em yesterday and think I am already sold out. Didnt make any Bog Oak this time. I still have plenty really nice Granadillo in stock.

Well we got one bird! We were all a little rusty and shoulda done a better job. It was a blue sky sunshine day so they werent flying as much as we woulda liked. Thing about duck hunting is the nastier the weather the better the hunt.

Am almost through with the big LB stem order, still have to finish a few more and hand fit each piece, but am close to being done.

The blackwood solos have already sold out Vito, they only lasted a couple days. Those are a hot ticket item.

I hope all is well out there!

Good morning Hoops, I'd say its probably gonna be after first of the year before I will have the next batch of solo stems done. I just ordered some blackwood that should be here this week. Thing is I have been slammed with other work for other products that has taken my time. O am damn near sold out of all my dugouts and that isnt cool at all! I have to get back on those and stock back up. I would like to encourage you to check back with me in a couple of weeks to see where I am at with these. I hope all is well and thank you for your inquiry!

Good morning out there everyone, hope all is well and you all had a merry Christmas. All the family had a great christmas and everyone got what they wanted. My 3 little boys wore smiles all day long playing with their new gadgets and gifts.

I have been slammed with another huge LB Stem order and all the rest of the wood I have to work.

Got a little bad news from my metal guy about the solo parts I have him make for me. My guy is an older man whose wife died not long back, he has a great place with a couple hundred acres, big lake on his place with a nice house and metal shop. Well he is wanting to make a change and sell the whole place so this next run on solo stems maybe the last for a while until I can find someone else that can do the work for a reasonable price. Not at all what I wanted to hear or deal with at this moment.

I did order quite a bit of blackwood so will have many of those available soon for the solo. I will try and do some cocobolo and bog oak depending on what I have in stock and know I will have a bunch of granadillo.

I hope all is well and wish you all many blessings in the new year!

Good morning everyone, hope all is well out there. Been slammed in the shop as you all know but managed to squeeze in a little time for duck hunting yesterday! Had the best hunt of my life round here in Mississippi, got over to the MS Delta region and got a limit of Mallards. My dad in law and I had our best day ever, his first limit in 30 years and my first mallard limit ever. I dont know how many of you all if any hunt ducks out there but its a hellova great time. Took alot of work going in and out in a canoe and on foot but was way worth the effort.

I spoke with my metal guy and he says I am gonna have enough SS for about 120 Solo Stems, as I said before will have several more Blackwood this time than in the past, dont expect these to last long so would like to encourage you all that want one to keep and eye out for them and even check with me in a couple weeks to see where I am at with these. I expect to have them available for sale in 2-3 weeks.

Remember this next batch might be the last for a while!

I haven't hunted ducks in years either, but I remember some fantastic trips with my old man down in Mexico where we had a duck hunting colony of gringos (and our ugly gringo trailers) right on the Rio Hardy river down near San Felipe. Good times, good times.

Of course nowadays the thought of taking guns down to Mexico is enough to keep me on this side of the border.

Hi Ed et al,
I am happy owner of a Solo stem (granadillo), and was just now viewing your site looking for new goodies.
I have a newbie question:
-how do i use these?

http://shop.edstnt.com/Vapor-Token-Tube-Hawaiian-Pheasantwood-Vapor-Tube-Pheasantwood.htm

I am looking for a pipe in which flame does not heat stash directly, so I don't inhale gas...
Could I use the vapor token tube that way?

I figure that it is precisely what this other item is designed for

http://shop.edstnt.com/Eds-Wooden-Bomb-Eds-Bomb.htm

Am I rigtht?

Thank you.

BTW I'd like to recommend edstnt to all fc members: product quality and best service.

Good times, good times King and Stu, I am still stoked about my last hunt, was a hunt of a lifetime!

Hello Overvaped and thank you for your inquiry. The vapor tubes are designed to be used with the CRZ log vape, wouldnt suggest using it as a pipe. Now the wooden bombs are a great way to pack a load and tote it all day. It does have to be ignited through the brass top that is screwed on the top.

Let me ask you have you ever used a hempwick like Beeline? Its an all natural hemp string that has been dipped in natural hawaiian beeswax. You light the string then use it to light your stash, no harmful chemicals at all. If not and you wanna try a bomb pls pick one up and let me know its you and we spoke about it and I will throw in some Beeline for you to try.

I appreciate the kind words too Overvaped, thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Ed,
thx for your quick answer, I had never heard about Beeline, very very interesting.
One more thing, just to make it clear:
- you ignite the bomb through the hole in the brass with Beeline and then smoke through the same hole, is it?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you light the beeline and hit it through the brass top drawing through the pipe, its a heavy hitter to be so small. You have to hit it slow or it will give you a hellova charge!

You can check out the good folks at Beeline here - http://www.thebeelinestore.com/ They have been making this wonderful wick for a while now and are great people, I have been working with them for years!

Good morning everyone, hope all is well out there. I know you all know I have been busy with LB stems but am getting close to being done with that order. Been turning the solo stems also. Have had to hire 3 guys to help me get everything done. They are a really big asset to Ed's TnT now. These guys know what they are doing and I dont have to worry about whether or not they are doing it right. They are all very careful to get the work done just like I want it.

I wanted to show you all the latest design change in the SS for the solo stems. I had my guy not to put a champher at all on the slotted end. I just wanted him to break the edge and that is done now. No sharp edges at all.

I am hoping to have these ready in another couple weeks or so. Keep an eye out and be ready, not sure how long they will last.

Not sure if anyone is interested but have 2 walnut wooden zap stems left if you wanna get one before they are gone. Once they are, thats it, there will be no more!

I have had one of your wood stems for a while,( on the bottom), my buddy recently bought a solo and wood stem from puffitup (on the top). yesterday i got to compair the stems, and the metal peices don't match up and are attatched differently. (top stem is attached with a metal pin not glue, it also arived without a c-clip thing to hold the screen in place. Just wondering if the top one is a legit ed's stem or if it was a fake, thanks.

EDIT: the top stem also tapers differently towards the mouth-end.

Hey Ed! Is there any chance of some mini solo stems coming out anytime soon?

Not seeing these happening at this moment. I had originally wanted to offer the shorties with the solo dugouts that I tried making a few of, had some issues with getting the stem to pop out the box. Had some great ideas given to me as well as some materials but neither came about.

I have made a few of them and a far as their performance folks like the standard length instead of the short. The short stems have a harsher temp and most folks dont like the high heat.

Right now this next batch will be all the longer size.

@thesoloman, they are both made by myself. I do wholesale to PIU also. The one with the clip is from the earlier design and I am no longer adding the clip to em now, just no need for em. One may have more of a taper than the other due to each being hand made, I try to get em as close to the same as possible but am still doing it by hand and eye. Both are legit though!

thanks for the quick reply! i was hopping you were gonna say they are both legit, and tips on how to get the screen to stay in without a clip?
