what are the dimensions of the cloud - I have to measure my glass. I think I may need to go get an angled adapter for my pieces so that the cloud will fit.

So I took seeks advice and checked vaporpedia - according to them the diameter of the cloud is 2.25 inches, if that's accurate then I don't believe I need an adapter and in that case - Bring on the cloud boys - Daddy's ready for the storm!

Or use a CloudBuddy?
Anyone have videos using cloudbuddy?? I've seen pics but its hard to picture it's function in use. From looks, both joints are on same side, like a U-shape, thought it was originally to displace the cloud away from a stemline that's too close to the glass tube..
Edit: just saw one of stonemonkey55 using it as more of an easy way of clearing the tube instead of removing the Cloud, interesting concept, not sure of the need...just a luxury? Also does vapor go back into Cloud this way as I've seen it does when water settles back down in a HT if you don't remove it from Cloud when you clear it Normaly??

I went with the cloud dry - I have some decent glass that should suffice until GAS sets in - I just got a gift card for xmas and I've already been browsing ALT :D

i have a cloudbuddy, its for when you have big sturdy pieces, it basically adds a carb, instead of having to lift off your blazing hot cloud(sometimes) or you just want the simplicity of pulling the glass plug for your whole hit, im sure ill do a bunch more vids once i get a better piece for it, as i only have a hydratube and bubbler right now.

They are in stock - I just ordered one. I know they don't have every package but they have quite a few.

Sometimes I wonder if my iPad is the problem...the only package available shown is the hydraline.

I cant post pics from the pad, either. Have 2 fire up an ancient win xp machine.

I use Photobucket with my iPad to post pics. Upload to the app from your photo album, then from there you can easily retrieve an image code or even a thumbnail code for smaller pic posting. Mainly only use my iPad when I'm on FC. However I do use Vimeo on my computer to upload videos, haven't found an app yet for that...I think Vimeo has an app but not worthy for functions I was looking for if I remember correctly.

Your post made me laugh so hard dude - I told my wife the same exact thing the day I ordered "before this money goes to either a bank or the IRS it is going to our friends at vapexhale!" lmao!

I actually ordered the unit dry with no HT, I have some nice glass to work with at home. I will say that today I am probably going to order the cloud buddy - looks really interesting.

Banned for life
I've owned my 4th Cloud now for a couple of months and just wanted to share some observations. My first 3 Clouds (SGW, Evolver Circ, VX shower dome) were all the older style "ticking" units and I think they all had about 3 months usage when sold, every one of them worked flawlessly without a single problem. I'm sure 2 of the 3 are still going strong as they were sold to JCat and Vaplexus!

My new Cloud doesn't tick, the temp algorithm has been changed, and I notice a little black ring on the bottom of the bamboo (not flared). Although I think the older Clouds were a bit hotter for max temp, this one is pretty close and I think has even a higher temp range on the lower end. With the older units, I could get some pretty good vapour on the lowest setting, but with the new unit I don't get any vapour until I approach 9am and up. The new unit gets plenty hot enough for my tastes, and I find I usually stick to noon or maybe a little higher for different strains, and sometimes up to 3:00. MAX is heavy thick combustion free vapour.

One of the biggest things I have noticed change is the duration of the auto-shut off timer! I'm almost thinking mine is a glitch because I haven't read a post where this has been mentioned yet but my timer shuts off at an hour and a half now instead of an hour. I did time it once at 1hr 27min. For me personally this is a HUGE improvement! If this is intentional for all newer units, THANK YOU VXL!!!!

The unit does turn green faster (i think maybe 5 min till 12:00) and after it's well heated up you can turn the dial sometimes up to a 1/4 turn and the light will stay green (not sure if that's normal). Perhaps the firmware is now more accurate but it seems to adjust temps quite rapidly.

Just a few questions regarding maintenance....

I can't for the life of me seem to get the BOTTOM of my ELBs clean enough for my liking. It seems like there is about 10% coverage of the holes blocked that I just can't get clean. My go to procedure has been ISO soaks followed by boiling water and then compressed air. I've never tried using Simple Green or Purple Power...would they "dissolve" the ABV better?

I also am starting to develop a teeny bit of a brown resin ring in the joint that ISO will not remove... any tips to get it to like new?

The new Cloud has a joint (washer or whatever) in the Bamboo at the bottom about an inch or so up. The older ones never had that so cleaning was easy with a rolled up paper towel to get the tiny black dust bits of ABV. I can see this black ABV dust on the inside of this washer joint but have no clue how to clean it out without filling the bamboo with ISO (which i'm afraid to do). I tried compressed air but no luck. Would pipe cleaners be able to get in there at all?

A 1 hour soak in a PBW and water solution and your ELB's will be brand new! Not even a spec left and the metal even returns to its original shine! Incredible stuff that PBW...

When you order a cloud do they send you shipping info? I ordered Monday (totally understand they were closed for the holiday), I paid for the express mail ($46), how long does it usually take them to ship?

Many people used to get notified "its at the door now" and nothing before. Thats how mine was.

I find the best way to clean an ELB is to use this process:

1) Drop the ELBS in a jar with some ISO and give it a shake for 1 minute.
2.)Take a dry paper town and twist the corner to make a little rope or pipe cleaner shape.
3.)Stick the rope all the way into the ELB till it fills up the ELB.
4.)Dip the ELB/Rope in ISO or pour ISO over the ELB. You want to get it wet.
5.)Pinch the ELB between your fingers and apply a little pressure.
6.)Give it a twisting motion while you apply pressure.
7.)Pull the paper towel out and repeat if necessary using a different/clean part of the towel.
8.)Rinse with water.

I have been able to get extremely messy ELBs spotlessly clean using this method. If this is confusing... I can try and make a video illustrating what to do.

You have to try the PBW! Drop them in...let it soak for about an hour...rinse under warm water...done. Sparkling brand new ELB's! No elbow grease required.

I 2nd that ˆˆˆworks beautifully...a 24 hour soak in hot PBW with your glass works wonders as well...and it doesn't smell as bad! I usually do a hot wash and rinse after the soak...DONE.
