Arizer Solo

Same for me. I can pretty much pass a Solo down the line, and everyone can get a decent hit off it, no training necessary.

I guess if you're used to a certain type of airflow it could take some time to get used to the Solo.
I'm judging the need for a learning curve based upon when I let non-vaporist hit my vapes. The solo is by far the easiest as all I have to say is suck and they all get it. Where as the DBV I need to explain to much for them to get and the MFLB just fucking forget it lol.

EDIT: The Inhalater is just as easy as the solo as well.

Same. I let non-vape users use my solo and its the easiest to explain IME. All I have to say is suck like a milkshake and everyone gets it, gets clouds, gets stuck!

Side note: just got to my sister's today in Cinci for the Holiday. Brought my Solo, a very small amount of herb, & 4 pre-rolled cotton balls filled with some BlueDream bho. Everyone went to bed, had a vape session in my bro-in-law's office with Solo & a cotton ball, got me feeling nice before I head off to bed :-)

Haha, I wonder how many of us snuck our Solo's home for the holidays are pulling the sneaky seshs right before bed, I know I am

How's it going all? Been following the forum for awhile now, finally signed up because I want to spread some great info. I have owned and used a lot off vaporizers and the Solo has got to be the best one I have ever used.. however it has a few things I would change. I read awhile back people buying o-rings for the solo so the stem does not fall out. The post I saw said he said he just went to home depot and bought the o rings from them. as a health fanatic... one of the many reasons I vap. it occurred to me that the o rings at home depot are not high temp o rings. I called the company that makes them.. said I was using it for a dry heat application and they said it only has a rating of 157F. This automatically drew red flags! once I started using the oring I could not go back to how it was..(so much better) so I used my blue volcano oring until I found high temp silicone o rings.

Basically the point of this tangent is, dont use the o rings from the harware store make sure they are high temp! We all vap because of the health benefits and there would be no sense of vaping when we are releasing toxic chemicals by using the orings.

Have a great day Keep vaping! stay healthy

A cool thing I like to do with my dirtied stem is make ice cream! Heat the steams with cream, and I bought a ice cream maker that makes the ice cream in under 30 min! I put six stems for a 2 quarts of icecream! potent stuff.

Also How do I add photos to the thread?

Mod note: When possible, please avoid making back-to-back posts in a thread. Use the Edit feature located at the bottom of your posts. Posts merged.

The O rings should probably be brown which usually signifies high temperature O-Rings. The original O-Rings are black and are probably not the best for this application.

I agree that rubber/buna is not the best choice for this application. Viton and Silicone are safe options for high temp o-rings.

You can get Viton in black or brown, but the brown is more common. Silicone is normally red... not always. Shop for the correct material, not the color. I have both and prefer the Silicone because I get zero change in taste and a good grip on my stem.

I decided to go down to my brother in-law's work shop in basement for tonight's session. Got 3 stems in before my partial battery was ready for a recharge...This vape is Amazing. Was trying to tell my dad about it the other night because he asked if I was going to be okay not smoking while here. First my father had ever heard of a vaporizer. He's a long ago ex-smoker(quit when i was 2)who knows about my usage and beliefs. I told him I don't even really smoke anymore and he was like What?!? That's when I went into professor mode and tried to educate him on vaporizers(specifically the Solo i brought with me)in a limited amount of time, not ideal. But he got the picture and I think is a little interested in the process. :)

I just schooled my brother-in-law on vaporizing tonight, too. I think xmas and thanksgiving are the best time to make brothers-in-law into vapor zombies. :freak:

That is truly great but my solo is not heating up :(
Major drawback for me as I don't know what to do before work for the following month or so...I guess I will try the quickest shipping to Arizer,

I had water dripping down the stem...this time my friend held the unit and I notice the water inside the unit itself...I guess if it happened to me while vaping I would have been able to save the machine...this is BTW, the exact thing that happen to me with the cloud and once again the showerdome is involved... it could have been a wrong move by my friend that helped water dripping down and when I noticed it the water was already in the unit itself...gah.......no solo is freaking hard...when the cloud died I wasn't down like now because the solo is just about what you really need.

:( man. Soooo sorry to hear this, and here I was just considering a HT for my solo, but may just stick to inverting it into glass instead with this mishap in mind..

Well that just sucks mosh...at least you have a backup with the cloud I suppose. Another reason water scares me. Electronics and water do not mix.

Not sure it would have happened to you...I mean my friend had no idea...I assume you would understand water is dripping and it won't get to the unit so quickly... I guess it was like that for few minutes...it happened to me a lot (this dripping) from my spit...it might be the cotton bowl that causes this maybe something in the fiber ?

I don't have the cloud to backup, it was ruined in the same way...when I give this out to people I should be more careful I guess and I was sloppy...
I have the EQ as backup but I can do a quick 10mins session with it... I mean I need more time ... well I really hope Arizer will fix it quickly...

Hey guys...

So my PVHES GonG stem came in.

Wow...theres a HUGE difference. It's not tight fitting at all, and finally I'm getting some VAPOR. I'm actually enjoying my solo for once. I still have to put it to 6 or 7, and it's difficult to finish a bowl, so I'm wondering if maybe my solo just runs cool or something? Either way, I finally feel that "milkshake pull" everyone is talking about, there's no such thing when I was using Ed's stem. I can get thick clouds with the PVHES but not a darn thing from Ed's.

I know some of you have had great experiences, so I'm not sure what to chalk it up to, but it's night and day now that I'm using something other than Ed's stem. I wonder if maybe if my solo is running cool it couldn't handle the high airflow of Ed's stem, but it it seems PVHES is a bit draggier. The pull doesn't feel as uneven either. With ed's it felt like I was awkwardly whistling bits of air through the solo, now it's much more of a steady draw, and a bit more restricted. I've been getting great clouds, but when I was setting up my bong to test it, I dropped the angled adapter that gives me enough clearance to use the solo -.- so no vaporbonging for me for a bit more..

But thanks all for your advice and concern! It's definitely more than workable now, I just wonder if the fact it's running cool is worth doing anything about. I see myself really loving this portable from now on. I was carrying around my VG for use when I had ed's stem, now this will be a permanent replacement for sure.

I *can* get visible vapor at 5, but no earlier. On 5 it's light and impossible to finish a bowl, even 6 wouldn't feel quite "finished". 7 could honestly stand to be a bit hotter for me, if I wanted to finish a bowl quickly.

It's one of the newest models, not sure if it's worth returning yet.
