Hello!
nice forum! I live in England. I am a musician, i play a lot of different music but most of my personal stuff fits in what i call "Doom-Jazz", very experimental and mixing up a lot of styles. I also do some production work although I'm not making any money. I have studied permaculture and growing fruit/veg/herb (legitimate ones) is my main line of work, and more destructive gardening when i need money.
I have been purely vaping for about a year and a half. I was raided three months after growing something which our police say is not allowed, despite most of my produce being gone, they still stole all my cherished pipes and bongs… but for some reason left my old blue meanie vape, which i saw as a sign.
I currently use a log at home and a magic flight launch box when i'm out. I love both, two of the best i've tried in their respective areas.
Not much else, but happy solstice time!

Hey fc,

I'm new to vaping and just found this site and I think it's amazing.

I'm looking to buy my first vaporizor and I'm interested in buying a portable right now. I'd love to hear anyone's recommendations and/or stories about which would be the best choice for me.

If you're looking for a properly portable vape (no plugs) I'd say go for a Magic Flight Launch Box. They work great, instant vapour, super small, great company, infinite warrenty. They're the best overall "on the move" vape that i have used. Avoid the Iolite at all costs, they can produce god vapour but it you use them a lot you get problems with the gas flow. Launch Box!

Thanks,

The launch box is definitely at the top of the list because it is affordable and the warranty is nice. But I'm also gonna look at a few more expensive ones before I make my decision.

Hey gang,
I've been lurking a while but finally decided to enter the conversation. I've been puffin' for 20 years and vaping for 5 years. I live in the SF Bay area and enjoy going to music festivals, brewing craft beer, playing guitar and drums, as well as camping and mountain biking.
I have been using a volcano for the past few years, but I really wanted to use my glass again since I miss those fat milky hits out of glass and found some good vapes now exist for vapor bonging. I have an LSV on order and a new cloud. I have an old Jerome Baker 22" glass tube with mushroom design (grommet adapted to GonG slide) and a Sheldon Black 11" tube I use for concentrates with my health stone. I may be looking to upgrade my vapor tube for flowers to a sci piece like SG, Mobius, Leisure, etc....any opinions on good options for a pure vapor rig would be appreciated. Not sure if a 12-16" tube or a bubbler would be best to have as a vapor piece.
Happy new year to everyone!
peace and clouds,

Hello everyone.

This is my second time around this forum (I thought I'd made an account previously, when I was researching what would be my first vape, but apparently not). Now I'm in the market again, looking to get a good glass-friendly vaporizer because as much as I love vaporizing, I combust more because I can't help but use beautiful glass.

Currently I own (in order) a Da Buddha, MFLB, and Omicron (2x v1), but I will probably be selling some/all that to help fund a LSV. Unless I splurge and get a Cloud, but I don't think I'll have the cash for that, or I see a better option.
On the functional glass front, I own a Sovereignty mini king. It's nice hitting my DBV through it, but I need more glass and less anything else in my vapor path!

So really like this website & wanted to share a bit more to try and hear more about others.
Work for a big global company, which can be hilarious when listening to some of the bullshit spouting from the mouths of our "leaders"!
Preferred lifestyle is me, the missus, the vap and the cat (in no particular order other than vap#1 - joking). Unfortunately the sacrifice for me is having to work to fund life and some little luxuries such as an xtremeQ vaporizer, fine herbs & deluxe ice-cream, life is a bummer sometimes! If anyone knows how to generate significant income from being a vapmeister please shout up!
Based in the UK so weather is very seasonal but love it here despite all the doom & gloom on the news etc
Find life fascinating, nature and different people. Have met some unique characters on my journey - the son of a mafioso who loved skunk and who's mother's desserts were amazing!
Anyway, off to do something less boring instead........

Hello everyone!!

this is a greatly informative site and I'd be completely lost without it. Thanks to all for that. anywho I'm a 15+ year heavy smoker(mostly bongs) who has fallen in love with vaping. 4 weeks ago I went to my local head shop just to grab a rubber slide gasket as I damaged the one I had while cleaning it. the guy at the shop knows me pretty well and didn't pay me much mind upon my arrival as he was busy trying to sell another customer on an easy vape. as I browsed the fine glassware I was listening to his "pitch". I've used a cano a few times before and have been intrigued by vaping for about a year and a half since. Well the owner kept dropping the price to try and get this guy to buy but he wouldn't bite once it got low enough to where I felt I could afford it even if I didn't like it I bit. At home I blindly tried that bad boy out for the first time having no idea what i was doing, cranked it up to 340 and instantly combusted.......2nd time tried at 300 same story....I was ready to say "this is stupid" and go back to my usual routine. Thats when I found this site!! after hours and hours of reading I found that the temp gauge is pretty much useless and vaping seems to be more of a science(which I think is a big reason I like it) than smoking, so i went in search of the "sweet spot" turns out it was WAY too hot If I start around 220 and work up to 260 I get a very enjoyable experience! Since that day I have not touched my bong once! EVERYTHING is better with a vape!! the taste(WOW didn't know what i was missing with combustion), the high, the "crash"(or lack thereof), even the session itself....I love trying different strains, temps, draw styles\speeds.

While I'm not ready to give up smoking alltogether I certainly feel I'm headed in that direction. so after a few weeks with this easy vape I'm ready to step up to a more serious vape. Money isn't really an issue but I'm not gonna drop $600 on a Cano or Cloud(I'd love a cloud but not yet). I'm torn between the EQ and DBV. I like the versatility of the EQ but am tempted by the milky goodness of a DBV. I'll probably end up with the EQ due to the bells and whistles but we'll see....

Again thanks to all for all the helpful info here!!! see you around

Remember... Bells and whistles are working parts.
The more working parts a tool has... the more things there are to potentially interrupt this tools use...
the more things to replace.
Here in my community I order for people about 2 DBV stems a month for 18 DBV users
I order ablut 6 "Cyclone bowls" a month for 9 "Q " owners

I am sure you will make a good decision, based on your own needs and priorities.
I am glad you are here, and welcome you to a most beneficial and exciting journey~

Yep the EQ is great for me, find starting temp around 155C about 5pm on fri night can be cranked gradually in increments of 5C to 220C by 2am (had I been smoking I would have had a whitey and / or fallen asleep by then) which gives you the full spectrum of highs allowing you to tune into the various temperature benefits! Roll on the weekend!

Nooky72,
Hello, kind of forgot to introduce myself when I decided to graduate from lurking a few months ago.
sly.gif

I always knew people with vaporizers, and was never that impressed, "not for me" "too fancy and complicated". I was given an old wooden VG, and what began as occasional usage soon gave way to using it exclusively. After awhile the vapor had such a hold over me i was willingly spending hundreds on fancy electric contraptions. I never wanted to become a vaporizer snob, but here we are.

Okay, I'll intro myself here.

Hi, I'm Enchantré. It's not my usual on-line name, so if I don't answer immediately, it's because I'm not used to it yet. :)

I'm a new MMJ "patient". My husband is a MMJ patient, and it has provided him with such pain relief, that I decided to look into it for my own issues.

My issues: Fibromyalgea & chronic myofascia pain (CMP), anxiety, arthritus, hip/spine degeneration
My usual method of medicating: medibles
My Vape: Vapir NO2, which I haven't used yet, it is still just charging up. I have tried a small knock-off of the MF box, and when I managed to do it correctly, it worked pretty well.

Interesting factoid about me:
Even though I was born in 1960, and grew up in southern california, I have NEVER smoked pot. I have never smoked anything. I never did any other "drugs", either. Wasn't much of a drinker, either. I was pretty darned boring. If you went to school with me, I was that annoying girl that got straight As, finished the test in about 10 minutes, and always had my nose buried in a book.

We live in Washington State, have two cats, all our kids are grown (so, in the rules, I read the line about not wanting to hear about "hiding stuff from your parents"... how about hiding it from your kids?) and moved out - mostly straight-laced kids. We did good with them.

I'm not terribly forthcoming with my status as an MMJ patient in my "real" life... though I am notorious for "over sharing". I know a few people with "green cards", and with them we've shared a bit.
I have a whole lifetime of preconceived notions about "drug use", and about people that use MJ, and I'm learning to let go of all that, and pay attention to the voices from the MMJ community.
Most of what I've learned so far has been from budtenders at a couple of very nice collectives, and the free magazines we pick up there.

I'm very interested in developing friendships in the MMJ world, and learning all I can about medicating myself effectively.

I work part-time for a governmental agency, so I do have to show up at work pretty unimpaired. During the day, I have been relying on "Power Ups" capsules (made with kief) to reduce my anxiety and ease back some of the pain. I don't drive on them... I have to wait until I get to work to take one, and I have to time it so I'm pretty off of it by the time I need to drive home.

At home, I've been experimenting a lot with medibles... which are fun, and work great, but the ROI is not great. I'm hoping to become a proficient vaper, getting good results, which seems to be the best bang for the buck (yes, I've tried bhang, too. :) )

Anyway, there's the short novel version. I plan to delve into this forum and explore.

Greetings, I'm Ludwig. 24 currently. Living in a non-marijuana friendly state currently :(. Deaf as well.

I started smoking in college, bongs were my go to choice when I was finished with college. However I didn't like spitting out black phlegm, bongs made my lungs feel weak and couchlocked me too much. So I did some research and moved into the vaporizing world.

Switched to a MFLB for my first ever vaporizer, loved that tiny thing so much. Ran into some sticky situation with the law, I burned my MFLB :(. I picked up a summer internship in NorCal, I grabbed the MFLB back along with the power adapter. The choice of medicine in NorCal was fucking unbelievable. I bought a Classic Volcano off Craigslist, used it daily - it's one of the best vaporizers I've used but it's more of a party vape. Coming back home, met a friend who disliked his Cloud so we traded it straight up.

Am waiting for the Cloud to arrive in my hands so I can see why it's an excellent vaporizer!

I do combust every once in a while, its more when I'm at my friends and they don't have vaporizers.

Just exploring FC for all tips I can pick up and share with yall!

Peace

The Arizer Extreme Q is a fantastic piece of kit that delivers solidly on all levels.

It also means I no longer have to run around wafting a newspaper, spraying air fresheners, whilst shouting "hang on hang on....where are those bloody keys????" because the house stinks like an Amsterdam coffee☕house when my parents unexpectedly turn up.

I just drop the pot pouri / essential oil diffuser bowl attachment on and demo the kit as a high grade aromarizer!

Looks beautiful!

Funny story that happened earlier, I went to tell my dad that I was going to the store to get my medicine. He asked if I needed any money, and I said "no, but if you're giving it away..." His reply was "Well I don't have that much in cash."
"No, it's always been $15 for it. I'm going to the pharmacy in *nearby town.*"
"...oh. Go get a $20 out of my wallet."

I'm an under-25 MMJ patient. It helps with my chronic pain (and the subsequent depression and anxiety from said pain), nausea, migraines, and appetite stimulation. Thanks to our lovely girl in green, I've been able to hit a record weight and I tend to stray from it by about 3lbs now. Doctors are happy to see me weighing a bit more, I'm not feeling like I'm about to puke my brains out (and then actually do it), and it makes everyday things like walking to the kitchen much easier. On the plus the higher-ups here are 100% fine with me using it, but at the expense of not being able to grow any because of the younger ones. I'm fine with that, and I'm fine with them offering me money to get it... but it's one of those things that I can handle, and it still feels weird taking money for it when a few years ago I would have had my ear yelled off. Thank you internet for helping change their minds, and thank you cannabis for helping me manage every second of every minute of every day, even if just a little bit.
