Try to not tighten the hammer all the way down. I noticed with mine, when it was as tight as possible, it made bad connections and shorted my top.

Long story short, G is a wizard and I can say I love the bender. I was vaping it last night thinking to myself these arent the best hits, but whatever lets see what happens. Basically very minimal clouds, but amazing results. I'm sure the technique can be greatly improved as always but wow I'm a believer.
He sent me some AW 18350s and IDK if that did the trick, or the replacement hammer, or G's voodoo hex he put on the thing, but it works and works well. So far I'd say not for cloud chasers. Normally I'm a cloud chaser. I like the feeling and I generally found it to go along with stronger effects. Now clouds are just a bonus, because I got "unsatisfactory" clouds but with "A+" effects.
My next step is to try a small load and see how low of a load I can use to get good enough results. I'd love to use this vape often at this point it is such an enjoyable experience, the best way to make that possible is find a good way to use the smaller size loads.
After that test I'm going to try my regular 800mah 18350s and see if those work well enough to use or if it NEEDS to be the AW's. Then I'm going to buy more AW's if I find those are all that will work
Some things I'm sure were covered but I could use a quick refresher since it's hard to find anything with the search.
How long should the batteries take to charge from lets say fully empty? Worse case scenario kinda times.
How many bowls have you bender users gone through with 1 set of AWs?
How little can YOU use and still get good results?
G thanks SO much for this. Once I knew from the video you sent me that it was working, I was determined to make it work myself. I was able to on the very first try. I've only used 1 bowl (and then vaped it again with shocking good results) so far. 2 uses for one pretty damn full bowl isn't TERRIBLE, but I feel like I can get away with using less.
You turned what was an iffy purchase to me into a fantastic buy, as it should have been the whole time. I can't wait to start showing it off to the vaporists I know. The fact that MA just passed medical marijuana (Finally) means I that concentrates will soon be a feasible thing. I know once that happens my persei (which I got just for the bender) will suddenly be worth 10x in my eyes. Your customer service, and the amazing product, already has me scoping out your site thinking of what else I can add and mod to this power house. The iris for example, the herc, ...the GLOC you showed me a while back on skype. Oh man G thank you so much.

Interesting discovery I just made. 1 FULL ELB (from the cloud) is approximately a half full bender.
I usually use 40% or so full ELBs with the cloud, so this is as much as 4x more the way I do thing if I FILL this, but that isn't as bad as it looks honestly. I'm got a half loaded bender for as soon as I get out of work to test today. Thats 1 ELB. If I can get good results with 1 ELB I'll be very happy already.

So can someone compare the current state of the bender and the herc? What would the herc offer me that the bender doesn't?
BTW that half filled bowl was a great success. Probably still has more in it. I'll be measuring in ELB's, quite honestly because I don't think my scale is that accurate and I don't care to buy a new one.
Was the herc the vape with the melted delrin on it, or was that something else? I'm really trying to catch up here. Wish there was a thread for the bender, one for the herc etc.

Was just watching Bob's video again...
When I realized he took off the top cover of the hammer leaving the ceramic exposed. Have I been leaving it covered causing a performance drop LOL? Have I been using it wrong? If so its been working the wrong way
EDIT: User error of the year award goes to... ME I see its about 3/4 of an inch out of the place it should be if you are foolish enough to leave the cap on... WOW. Sorry G. I'm a moron.
I'll try it properly once I come down from the amazing results of using it nowhere near its full potential.

a bender is on my "luxury vape" wish list ones I really want but don't feel like I need. I think it would be nice to lounge with around the house with, but it sounds like it can eat some herb though
It is a great vape and u can keep it from eating too much by putting less in and stirring after draws and taking off hammer if you get it to hot....... After some practice I am able to make a bowl last with above suggestions and flower remains can be used for budder

The carts are working so well with my PERSEI I''m managing for now.
All my flowers are unused due to the back order of glass stems.
Need to quit breaking them.
Good to have plenty of WAX.

REALLY enjoying my bender the proper way. Now I see how combustion is possible. Excellent vaporizer. I'll be taking it to get my car worked on today. 2 hours of driving, many hours of work with a buddy on a life, then more driving back home. Enjoying the large capacity.
Can someone throw out a guess how many bowls they get with 1 set of charged AWs? I'll bring the other 800 mah 18350s too I guess, but I'd rather stick to whats been working so well when I show it off to a friend.

hey so like an idiot with my brand new persei, i got confused and boiled the 5 ohms cartridges along with the hercules. Thanks to the the poster OF, i know that was a big mistake. Miraculously after only about 5 business days, i got another 5 ohm cartridge in the mail from planet vape yesterday. I do not want to fuck this thing up, so could anyone give me any tips for using this cartridge or the persei in general. I read all the manuals but imnot sure i have everything figured out. any help would be much appreciated !

The 2.4V carts are the best with my PERSEI and a 3.7V aw irn 1600 mah battery!

I too think you'll have much better luck with 2.4 Ohm carts at 3.7 Volts. Don't 'pre oxidize' them or ever run them dry for any reason for that matter. Also be careful in loading, the key is preheating the center of the cart:
