Was looking for some decent glass for cheap...

and I found this web site: http://www.just4smokers.com/. Has anyone one tried it out? Seems legit and the prices and pieces look good, but I don't really know too much about glass.

My buddy Lev has pieces, to fit all price ranges. Stuff is 7mm and built like a tank. Leviathan Pipes (inexpensive American Glass)

We've also got a new glass guru on the scene, AEON Glass, from ioffer.com. He uses Chinese Boro, but its good quality stuff and he's also active on the forum, along with Lev. AEON Glass by jhanpixel

BTW do you know what kind of attachment I would need for an Extreme-Q to be hooked up to glass?

Can't speak much for the Q, don't have one. But, all you need is a GonG whip 14 - 18mm attachment, depending on the size of the joint on the glass.

For the EQ, you don't need to buy anything really. Since it comes with two 18.8mm elbows, you can use the extra one to connect to the joint of the water toy.

if your glass has an 18 male gong (like my oil rig), you can use the EQ upside down on it without a whip.


sort of like this, but i use the regular EQ loader (18 female 18 female) on my little oil rig. i don't even need to take out the nail.

sorry, not my picture. i looked on google for a pic of the EQ how i use it and this was the closest.

i use my 18 gong nail rig but put the cyclone chamber on instead of the dome. put herb in the top and the EQ on top of that.

I'm glad you're getting good feedback here. I just wanted to second BDV's advice. I have glass from both Lev and AEON and they're both outstanding pieces. I also wanted to chime in with HVY glass. You can find their starting pieces for around $50 if you do your research. American & German made glass blow right here in CA. Point is you're in the right place, take some time too read through the treads and don't be afraid to ask questions.

In answer to your question about percs. There is defiantly a difference between percs, and a lot of it comes down to personal choice. If by smoother you're talking about one with low drag, I think you'll find that for a first piece a shower head or inline will be a good starting point. These types allow for more defusing then a regular down stem. My advice is to buy quality, but not spend a lot, it may take you trying out a couple of different pieces before you find what you like.

Thanks NewVape. From watching YouTube vids of shower head and in-lines look pretty cool. I would like to aim for those instead of the initial tree ones I had been looking at. Ive seen the honeycomb ones as well, those looks awesome, but too pricey.

So, ive been doing more research, not done yet, but im leaning towards this piece. I was thinking of getting a perc stem for it. I would like something like this, but it's out of my price range.

In case you missed it, the $80 showerhead bong you're "leaning towards" doesn't come with a downstem. A nice one would put it more towards the price of the 3rd linked piece.

The 3rd linked piece... you don't want it. I was strongly considering that piece for a good 2 weeks. I've probably seen every video on it. I've talked to at least 3 owners. They all said the same thing, which is obvious in the videos...

That tree, sucks. Either they're very sloppy cuts, or inadequate... because they don't fire at all. Each one of them said it was a chug monster and all noted, the build quality, is lacking.

Its a shame to, because being pretty much a straight up rip-off on a Toro, its a nice looking piece. But, its definitely one of those, you get what you pay for.

The first and second pieces you linked, the designer/owner posts right on this forum and you get a discount for being a member. Need a downstem, use some of the money you save and hit up orgeonglassblower on ioffer, for a nice downstem.

The first one, is a dual disc. Kind of overkill really for vapor and a budget piece. He's got a lot of other pieces closer to $100. That little showerhead beaker is a new one, he just listed and for the price, was actually something I was thinking of picking up at some point.

Yea I saw that. I was going to see if the jhanpixel, who makes the water pipe, would be able suppply that for me at a decent price. If not I was going to see what I could find on the interwebz.

Wow, thanks BigDaddy, I almost made a huge mistake. I guess looks can be deceiving.
The only reason I was able to find such nice glass was because of you BigDaddy! I'll check out the links later today.
