Those 2250mAh are much cheaper than the ones I paid for they are like 10 $ a piece .I payed 25$ a piece for two 2900mAh =50$ . 3 2250mAh = 30$ . Fuzzy math where does the other 20 $ go ?

That was my first thought too, but I'm sure TET will make it right. Like Jam said, you could always cancel. Maybe they could just send the 2 2250 batterys now and then send one 2900 later.:\

Edit: Just noticed the TET site says it will start shipping on the 21st. :\

Yeah, in my instance I ordered six batteries for two separate units and this was probably the only thing that really bothered me about this delay announcement. I've already been concerned enough about adding to the order, I don't really want to be bothered having to subtract from it at this point. I do appreciate the fact that they are avoiding another delay by not waiting for the other cells. At the end of the day I am paying for TET approved materials regardless.

I contacted TET and was told they will be sending you the amount of batteries in your order plus one free battery. So if you ordered 1 2900 then you'll receive 2 2250s. And at a later date, when the 2900s are available, you can swap the 2250s out for 2900s if you want to send them in.
I hope this is true as that's probably what I'll do in the future. I'm not much of a battery guru, but for me, in my instance, +1 freebie does not "seem" equal to 6 cells with ~%20 lower capacity, particularly considering it's a split order and the "extra" battery will go to one party or another. Time will tell, until then I am going to remain patient and hope for the best on TETs side of things

Snart, Cheerful, and all. I'm 100% sure that if you call or email TET they will be happy to accommodate whatever you want with regard to the battery situation. If I had ordered multiple 2900mAh batteries, I don't think I'd want all of them replaced with the 2250s, but I'd sure want at least one 2250 battery, unless I already had a stash of suitable 18650s.

I would imagine TET thought about what would please their customers under the less than ideal situation (of not having the 2900mAh batteries in stock yet, but having the Ceras ready). I'm guessing that most of the pre-orders only had one battery in the order, and getting an extra battery that was almost as powerful was a solution that was best for most. Certainly it's better than holding the whole order until the 2900s were available.

If it's not something that makes sense for you, (e.g., you ordered multiple batteries, and getting one free battery doesn't make up for the price difference, or you simply don't want a bunch of 2250 batteries) then just ask TET to change the order to what makes sense for you.

Just an FYI about the batteries: I ordered two 2900s. When I asked if I could have the second 2900 sent at a later date, instead of getting another 2250, I was told that they could only ship me three 2250s as a replacement and I would have to ship all three back at my expense for an exchange at a later date if I wanted the 2900s.

Hope that helps anyone who was considering this option.

18650 batteries are pretty common, at least in the online world, so if not happy with the replacement just get what you want. http://www.lighthound.com/search.asp?keyword=18650&search=GO This is just one company of many trusted ones that have a nice selection for the protected 18650 in many mAh choices. I don't know if the Cera will benefit from IMR batteries like the omicrom does, if it does I will gladly trade up mAh for the raw power the IMRs deliver up front. OF, any input here?

Look at post #2284 he explained the difference and said we probably wouldn't notice a difference. But, he also said if there is a difference it is higher temp lower run time.

Well I talked to Zeke today and had them remove one of my extra batteries so I could opt out to wait for the 2900 to come in, besides getting two batteries is a great deal we get a dual charger so its full with 2 batteries instead of one for the price of one or two.
I was worried about power and battery life this is what I was told mah is like the amount of time the battery lasts in this case the 2900 lasts 45 min continual use and the 2250 30 min of continual use, now the the difference between the but the inner working of the battery make the unit run differently. So the 2900 lasts longer by 15 minutes and it heats up slower while the 2250 heats up faster producing the same heat but last 15 min less then the 2900 reason being is one is li-co protected and the 2250 isn't protected and works differently giving you faster heat up times better heat which i think would be better for the Cera LL.
So they refunded me $24.99 to my Paypal. So ill be receiving 2 batteries which is enough and ill wait til they get the 2900 mah 18650 in and order them then I guess either way were moving forward.
This is perfect cause my harvest is done cured and ready to go so I can make some oil and ill have more then enough medicine to test out this Cera when it gets here some time before the new year, fingers crossed.
Merry Christmas

Since I'd like to get the 2900mah, is it alright if I get this one? http://www.lighthound.com/AW-18650-Protected-2900-mAh-Rechargeable-Lithium-Battery_p_3671.html

I want long battery life so I was even wondering if I can get something like 3400mah or will my Cera explode?

Guys, it's just not as simple as looking at numbers on the web. Consider the experience we had with the SV T1s. Using the 'inferior' 750 mAh RCR123As worked fine. Using the 'obviously better' 900 mAh units from the same maker in the same series didn't get hot enough.....although they did run longer.....

And we know that the 'better' 700 mAh AW IMR 14500s aren't quite as hot as the 'lesser' 600s from the same maker. Often highest power out (what we want first and foremost) is traded off for a little more capacity to brag about to boost sales.

If you want an instant power boost (about 20% IIRC) with your Omicron V2, just replace the 'better' 1000 mAh IMR 14650 provided with the AW 600 mAh 14500 and the longer cap. Yes, a huge difference with a 'lesser' battery. They're both IMRs and everyone knows 1000 is way better than 600.

There has been some testing done by TV for this. This means we only really know of two batteries that will work well, everything else is at best an educated guess. Even if the specs published are accurate (they often aren't) and the seller legit (not always a given either) we can't be sure until someone tests them. My advice would be to use the battery TV provides (and guarantees) as it's proven. Otherwise try top quality button top 18650s and don't put a lot of faith in mAh numbers past the general. Understanding it might be a worse choice for this application. When real owners try them and report back we'll no doubt form a list of recommended batteries (just like with MFLB).

Zeke said that the 2250 imr runs and gets hotter faster but has shorter battery life by 15 min so in my opinion for the Cera LL this would be perfect for the herb cart in my opinion this battery gets hotter faster then the 2900mah, so this is better i would think. I
I would agree go with the TV recommendation and go with what they supply which is tested and proven and then as they sort out there battery issues then purchase a 2900 protected battery later if you even need it.
I so curious how the efficient EO cart will beit seems to be very efficient but everyone medicated differently I suppose. Considering that I make my own oils due to the lack of compassion clubs here in Canada, I have a abundance of herb and make my own oils which as you know takes a lot of dry herb to produce a substantial amount of good quality oils, so its more of a special treat I guess but if it is really efficient it might be worth it to just switch to vaping oils.
A friend of mine we grow together under the health Canada medical program we can grow our own plants, he only vapes honey oil but he also uses a lot to make it. He burnt out his omnicrom 2 allready in a half a year he would probably benefit from this unit for sure.
Watching Noah vape 36 hits in 48 minutes something like that from a1/4 gram I thought was really efficient with the safety toggle switch to turn it on and off it would last all day for sure. I can't wait

For those who want to know a bit more about battery comparisions there's a good thread about it at ECF here
I liked OF, comparison to a car. To maybe simplify it a bit more. The capacity is the gas tank size and the continuous drain rating is the gas line hose diameter. So attach a huge tank with smaller gas line will run a Volkswagen full out for a long time. But take that same tank and gas line and install in a race car, the car will run but want to stall as engine can't get enough gas to run at specifications. Plus tend to get hot trying to push too much fuel through the line.
The T1 needed one heck of a huge gas line and therefore had a small tank.
So IMO, if searching for POSSIBLE untested batteries the criteria should be physical fit first then drain. The actual capacity is not near as important then the drain and the acceptable number has not been verified yet.
Just my :2c:

Thanks for the clarity. Last question from me regarding batteries:

Will my Omicron V2 charger work on the TV supplied batteries?

You're the man. Thanks a lot!

Not sure about that, but glad to help folks if I can......which is saying 'you're welcome' in more words....

Thanks for the clarity. Last question from me regarding batteries:

Will my Omicron V2 charger work on the TV supplied batteries?

Yer welcome too, of course. In theory that charger will work but after testing the two I have i gave up on them. Too erratic for me. Sometimes they would charge more on my WF-188 afterward, sometimes not. I also did a test where I charged several different batteries and let some sit in the charger a couple hours longer. The next day there was a fairly large spread of voltages in that lot. And I still don't like using it for more than one battery at a time (it really is a single charge channel).

Given all the money I have in batteries, $20 for a better charger seems like a good call to me.

So my advice is 'it should work, but I recommend a better one'. I like the 188, but TV (who used to provide 188s) found the charger they sell (and you can get elsewhere) to give more compete charges (longer run times), enough more so to give me the new version for testing.

And how about that Pipes? Introduces internal resistance....how cool is that?

I was always curious while watching those videos on what the flavor was like at hit 36?

hektik8625,
I think I'll just stick with the batteries TET sells/recomends. They know electronics and the batteries that power them. They've done the research and the testing. I've been reading all I can find on the subject and came to a conclusion; TET is on the cutting edge of electronics/batteries, while I'm just a stoned jerk off staring at an iPad pretending I understand all this stuff. So,yeah,I'll stick with TETs recommendations. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks than have some aftermarket battery explode. And as we all learned in health class, exploding batteries can cause syphilis.:tinfoil:

Thanks for the compliment Bro! Anytime you can get a good laugh in the morning is a good thing.
As for the self deprecating humour, the way I see it,if you can't laught at yourself you have no right to laugh at retarded people.
Thanks again Bro!

I was about to place my order but the final page for placing your order on the site and entering your credit card number isn't secure ... it's not HTTPS (so I'm just not comfortable entering my credit card number on an unsecured page). I've contacted ThermoVape through e-mail with my dilemma ... I'm anxious for them to get back to me so I can actually order!!!

Everyone else on here was ok entering their credit card # on an unsecure page?

Edit: Oh yeah ... the other strange thing is that when I select "International", it still requires me to enter a numeric Zip Code, and there is no zip code in Canada and the postal code is alpha-numeric but the field won't let me enter any characters! I'm sort of disappointed ... looks like Thermovape could use some help getting their website polished :)

Edit: Ok ... so although the page you enter your credit card on isn't secure, the page it submits to is. So it doesn't "look" secure, but if you look at the source code of the page, you can confirm that it is :) ... so I placed my order. Yeah!

Yeah JCat,
You would be best to email them. I know they accept Paypal, and you can give them the right info to get it shipped correctly to you...
Hope this helps ya!
