help understand HMK

I saw somebody mentioned that HMK glass is the best way to vaporize hash powder or pressed hash.

PlanetVape has lots of interesting "HMK vapes" but I don't really understand what I'm looking at.

What is the metal crank? Why is it attached using what looks like metal springs and wire?

ictus,
18/14mm joint into your waterpipe, Heat the titanium pad with a butane torch, use the arm (crank?) to swing it under the curve and dab your concentrate on the ti pad.

HMK makes (arguably) the best Ti pad curves.

Planet Vape said:
Hashmasta Kut (HMK) inventor of the Original Ti Pad Curve, these are his latest designs and feature four glass dimples under the bell to hold an optional diffusion screen - to help diffuse the vapor flow and smooth your inhalation.
Available in 10mm, 14mm and 18mm male and 14mm and 18mm female as well as 45 degree and 90 degree, left and right handed versions. If your water tool has an angled down stem you will need a 45 degree Ti Pad Curve, whereas if your water tool has a vertical (straight up and down) down stem; you will need a 90 degree Ti Pad Curve.

This would be called a titanium swing. It is a way to vaporize super full melt (ie. bho) by heating the plate with a torch and then swinging the metal plate under the glass (which connects to your bong or bubbler) using that crank and placing a touch of extract on the hot plate will give you a dab. I would not recomend using it for dry hash that does not fully melt when heated. Less plant material the better for these skillets or swings. There are also nail and domes that do the same thing. I think what your looking for is something along the lines of a heated quartz rod and a hash bowl.

thanks that makes sense a bit.

Im looking at some other options too. I really like this one from WORM glass. I understand it from looking at it:

http://www.headyglass.com/store/con...ific-pipes/the-worm-fixed-curve-w-puddle.html

There's another one thats similar but cheaper.

I don't quite understand though how it functions. how do you continue holding a flame to the quarts tray once its swung inside the chamber?

also some of the other photos confuse me more, showing it used with another glass peice. is this thing not a whole bubbler, but instead just a part of one? So maybe the bent pipe isn't for inhaling, but is actually where you put the flame?

I agree with Kush about the hash bowl and quartz wand, they are the most effective for various hashes IME. Its a bowl with no hole on the bottom, but rather two or three holes around the top of the bowl. You put in your hash and drop the wand to it and the vapor gets sucked into the holes at the top.

No, it doesn't get too hot. I use a one and a half inch quartz nail as my wand, when one end is glowing red the other feels room temp still.

I think I finally found something like that here:

http://www.rxindustries.com/scienti...ypage.tpl/product_id/546/category_id/202.html

only 80 bucks.

So you actually heat up the end of the glass/quartz rod? Does it not get too hot to handle?
There's the concentrate slides on Aqua Lab Tech that are cheap and turn any GonG piece into that device (without having the piece ONLY work like that).

There's ones that work on direct-inject on the 2nd page
(ignore the healthstone, only works with oil)
