Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Thanks, that was a brilliant post. I'm in the UK so I was actually looking at the Wychwood log vaporizer to tide me over until the cloud is available so I have a silent running alternative to the 'cano for when I have people staying round for prolonged periods. In fact, it's thanks to frequent visits from family/non-vaping friends/colleagues who don't know I vape that I found that I could vape 15-30mg, get pain relief and have little to no discernible effect in my ability to converse/study/train/work/be around non vapers...having said that, I never vape before work since I'm not comfortable doing that.

Just out of interest, is the 'cano what you'd consider to be a 'big hitter'? I'm assuming the cloud is another one. The only downside I can see of a log vape (like the wychwood) is the 10-30min warm up time vs 10mins max of the cloud. Since I only need a backup vaporizer for use during family visits, leaving a vape plugged in all day isn't an option. Having said that, if I'm getting a vaporizer, I'd quite like it to be on par or even an upgrade to the 'cano. Or in the case of the cloud, offering different experience of use (non-bag, all glass path etc) and similar quality.

Sorry for derailing the cloud thread. Back on topic, I don't suppose you could try loading 15mg & 30mg in the cloud and see if it even produces vapour? I've been able to get noticeable (if faint) vapour clouds coming out with the 'cano at those amounts as well as the desired effect. Of course the effect is personal since I have a different bodyweight, brain chemistry, condition to treat, tolerance etc to you so I'd feel a different effect at those low amounts than you. However the cloud(s) of vapour produced should be independent of those personal factors.

Thanks
First off, I'd say the cloud's warm-up time IS similar to the log vapes at 10-30 mins. The light may turn green @ 10mins, but unless you're just taking one small to medium rip and waiting a while, I like to preheat for an additional 10-20 mins more.

My logs do tend to operate quieter than the cloud because of the wind tunnel noise of the cloud when hitting it hard. Consider though if you'll be using the log daily, but have to unplug it every day or reheat it multiple times a day, that is going to cause a lot more wear & tear than leaving it on. Or only using it a few times a week.

Back to the cloud topic,
I believe you could get, at the minimum, similar effects from such small loads (15-30mg) as you did with the volcano. You might find the cloud does tiny amounts best with a higher temperature setting, 1-3pm+

Thanks for the info. WRT the wind tunnel noise of the cloud, anything has got to be quieter than the motor of the 'cano coupled with the noise of the bag when filling up and whilst being drawn from.

The time for the cloud to heat up is interesting. During my brief reading today I was under the impression it takes 5-10 mins to heat up. Would I be right in assuming it's less likely to suffer from wear and tear issues arising for switching it on and off multiple times compared to a log vape? Or would it be similar?

I wish there was an updated ETA on the international Cloud model. If it's a few weeks I might as well wait. If it's months, I might get a log vape in the meantime. I'd prob only need to vape 2x per day max, with 1 being a single hit before training/physio. Hopefully switching it on and off for those 2 uses doesn't contribute too much to the wear and tear. If it is a factor, I might be better off waiting for the cloud.

TBH when I get mild positive effects even with 10mg, it is with the 'cano turned up to the highest setting so I wouldn't mind doing the same ("1-3pm+") with the cloud if it means I get a similar medicinal effect vs an uncomfortable (for me) inebriated effect from vaping larger amounts. It took be awhile to find low amounts which I'm comfortable vaping which still provide pain relief. That's after 6 years of using the 'cano. Hence all the questions before investing in a new vaporizer and needing to start experimenting again.

As far as we know there aren't issues with the cloud heating up and heating down. What I mentioned concerning logs has to do more with the wood material involved.

It will work at 5-10mins, it just might not have the oomph for back-to-back hits or long hard draws.

Well I couldn't resist so I ordered myself a cloud & swagger tree.

are they usually pretty good on shipping times? I paid for usps express, wonder if I might see it this week.
They shipped mine fast as hell! It got here 4 days from order. Standard shipping CA to MN

Just got a call saying they were out of the Swagger Tree I ordered..... but they offered me a new Evolver HydraCirc 2.0 that isn't on the website yet. They said its kinda like a showerdome in that it has the wider mouth. Also order shipped today :)

So I will be sure to show what the new Evolver looks like.

I'm in the same boat, very excited and wanted to add that Phil was very tentative in helping me through the whole order process. Service gets an A+

I've been away. Glad to be back to the Cloud thread :-). I wonder if the HydraCirc 2.0 is the disk one.

Anyhow, yeah a bunch of tubes are out, that stinks. But oh well :-). Still loving my HydraTree 1.0

The Evolver 2.0 has a bent neck and a splash guard to prevent water from going down the HydraTube into the bamboo. I'll have to take a picture but new pics will be on the website shortly.

Re the 'cano being a big hitter vis-a-vis the Cloud . . . You can get big hits off any good bag machine as long as (a) the unit delivers very dense vapor into the bag and (b) you take a long pull. With the Cloud, or other big hitting passives like the SSV, you will get more density with direct draw and so a stronger hit.

I gave the Cloud a try with .03g of dry mids set at 10:30 (my usual temp). After ~15 min warm-up I got a solid cloudy hit, and some whispy vapor on the second hit. I did need to give it a long steady pull because with so small a load the air ratio goes up. The ABV was golden brown.

I repeated the experiment except setting the Cloud much higher as SD-haze suggested, 3:00. This time I got a very big hit and cloud. A second hit got nothing; the ELB was cached. And the ABV was dark brown. Total extraction. So at this temp, you could get several moderate hits with this load, or one very big one.

I'm guessing that using the Cloud would be a whole new ballgame compared to the 'cano. :)

I just picked up a backup vaporizer for my Cloud. I almost went with an LSV because Stickstones and lwien seem to love it so much, but in the end I realized that I needed something comparable to the Cloud, so I just got another Cloud. :D

Are the sleeves ever going to ship out? My unit gets so hot, Ive had to put it away. I cant hold on to it after about 30 minutes it gets so hot, even wrapped in a bunch of silicon bands.

....another update, ran my cloud at 11 all day and up to 12 later on and its working as it should again... so not sure what happened to make it combust at such a low setting. The only other conclusion I can make is maybe my ELB was packed more than I thought. ?? :hmm: or the sensors were not reading correctly from being dirty?? left guessing but it works again, so I'm happy enough, and now I have a clean bamboo :D

I'll keep an close eye on it for a bit, but I hope it was just a fluke.

The ultimate rig! Now you gotta figure out how to hook them both up like the double Solo.

You read my mind, Sticks. I don't think a Cloudbuddy would have the clearence, and the PV Y-adapters certainly don't. Looks like I may have to invest in a custom giant Y-joint (reinforced of course) to takie vaping to 11.

Or here's a thought... now follow me here.... 2 devastators side by side.... each with it's own Cloud sitting atop... now here's the kicker.... a custom Y mouthpiece with 2 18.8mm female joints on it.... leading to a single mouthpiece. :freak:

I'm not sure if I should call it the double-devastator, or the reverse hookah. Whaddya think?

The only time that I came even close to combustion at low temps was when my bowl was clogged. Now i change it more often no problems. my sn is 0030 and I have been using it daily since march 5, 2012. On another topic heat . I take three to five good hits of dry medicine at nine o'clock shaking between hits and then turn the cloud off and take the bowl out of the cloud(I could actually smell the terps being vaporized). Then turn it on when I want to medicate again. This helps me conserve medicine even more as well as keeping the heat manageable. Mine heats up in five min and I don't have any problems waiting for the green light. My current medicine is blueberry kush. :2c:

Wow, protection of the bamboo.... I might need to buy one of these. I'm super paranoid about that.

I love my Evolver HydraTree.
