I get my packages from both 7th floor LLC and frome vapeworld in about the same time.
It generally takes 3-5 days.
One time... for each of these places delivery took longer (like a week and a half)

Anyone have any experience with wickie pipe.com they have a 15% off offer running which would make the LSV 152.99!

Looks like a good deal. Never have ordered from wickie before. Based on the pics they have, it looks like those do not have the cord strain relief, if that matters to you at all.

LoL lwien, I just saw in your signature the " LSV through HVY Mini-Beaker" I pair those two up at least once a day. Such a great combo.

Yup. Perfect size. I can milk that beaker enough that I can take a hit over my lung threshold, but I think I now have it down to where I can take it just to the point of coughing yet able to hold it back. I really have no desire for anything bigger. No need...........but, that Mobius Ion Matrix has my name all over it, but until then, the mini is working out just fine.

I wonder what the volume difference is between the Ion and the Mini.

I haven't even had a desire to use my PD since I got the LSV and considering my past usage, that is pretty amazing. Gotta give my PD some love though, but the LSV has me wrapped around her little finger right now.

Not at all.
It is just different.
I have a couple of vapes whose size and/or shape become cumbersome, situationally.
The LSV has never felt like one of them to me (and I have limited dexterity).
(I do prefer the shorty transfer wand)

isn't the size and shape of the LSV cumbersome to use?

I don't use the transfer wand. I just hit it through the WPA on my mini-beaker, and used in this way, it is no more cumbersome than when I flipped my PD upside down to do the same thing. Actually, maybe even a little less cumbersome.

The only time I've found the LSV not to be a good fit is when I use it with a "tube" style that has a vertical joint right next to the tube. With the beaker since the joint is so low on the body style wise it actually is better then some of my other vapes. Plus there's the whole glass on glass fun.

No. It has a diameter slightly smaller than a can of soda and it's about as long as 2 cans of soda sitting on top of each other.

and with a heavy cable from the end.

i'm thinking about an LSV that would be 1" diameter and 3" long, 16ga super flexible cable (as these things go) to a battery pack ... with computer temperature control and digital display, of course.

well, it's either that or free electricity ... i can't decide which to do first, but i've already got a heater design that works swell.

would it be possible to have an external temperature control to be attached to virtually any vape?

I'm curious as to why various owners of highly efficient (e.g. 25mg per stem) vaporizers like the PD moved onto the LSV. Also, is it effective at the lower (25mg) amounts like the PD was? Or does it require more? I am also checking some of the posts in this thread comparing the two however would welcome any updates on this.

I don't like to vape for inebriation and prefer 15-25mg amounts in my 'cano for medicinal (mainly analgesic) purposes. For me the low amounts work medicinally only when coupled with daily physiotherapy. Therefore, I'm looking for a vaporizer which will allow me to start using those low amounts straight away since it took me years of experimenting with the cano to find a sweet spot dose which provides medicinal benefits without the uncomfortable feeling i personally get if I hit the inebriation levels of vaping.

Since I have family over right now and the 'cano is too noisy/cumbersome to use for the next 4 weeks, I'm keen to go ahead and pick up an alternative vaporizer for such times during the next few days. I had been looking at log vaporizers however I don't like the long heat up time. From the youtube videos I've seen of the LSV, it looks like this isn't an issue with the LSV. If anyone has an exact time for this, let me know. Otherwise I'll search the thread and post the results.

Since I want to use micro amounts (15-25mg) I'm guessing that it will work best if I just turn the LSV onto it's highest heat setting. I also want the option of being able to take a single hit before physiotherapy/training. This was something which wasn't really possible with the cano which I think that the LSV could be great for and using the highest heat setting will ensure that I can take 1-2 effective hits with micro amounts as a mild pre-workout/physio supplement.

If you've got any advice for me about the purchase, please let me know. Same for any of the questions above. In the meantime, I'm going to peruse this thread. I would have liked to pick up a Cloud vaporiser since I like the glass design, however the international version isn't out with no firm idea of how long it will take to release. The LSV does offer a part glass design so it should be an appropriate move in the direction (glass vapes) which I'm interested in. As an added bonus, my local headshop stocks it so I don't need to mess around with importing it from overseas.

Thanks for reading.

i used to own an ssv (same heating element) and it took 2-5 min to be up and at full temp. hoping my lsv come tomorrow maybe? (it's in the mail!)

also consider the solo. it heats up fast, and lets you get great rips quickly. I'd say you could take one or 2 rips off of it (it's best if you let it get up to temp with the herbs too. which is why i wouldn't say it's a 1 hit wonder.)

sounds like you may need to be discreet? also consider the mflb / flashvape for smaller, but very quick rips!

as i understand it from owning the SSV previously.
the LSV is a more compact version of the ssv. it's a heavy hitter that you can pack as much or as little as you like in it. (I preferred about half way full with my ssv wands) this allowed for easy stirring, and still let me put enough herb in there to get nice tasty fulfilling rips.

based on my SSV exp I am confident the lsv will be the same deal.

I think you meant, .025g, eh? ;)

I went from a long time (over 4 years) PD user to the LSV fairly recently. I did this for a few reasons. One, is that fucking stickstones was fanboying the LSV so much, I had no choice. Secondly, and just a tad more seriously, my PD was on it's last legs and was running wayyy too hot (abv coming out black), that I needed to get another vape. I have a second PD that I only used about 4 times that I guess I could have put into use, but after reading all of the glowing reports on the LSV, and after using the PD exclusively for over 4 years, I wanted something that would provide a new experience. I also hit the PD exclusively through my mini-beaker so the LSV seemed like a REALLY good option.

Ok, now regarding efficiency, here's the deal. I can load up a PD stems worth in the LSV's WPA and get two very solid hits, which in strength, equals the 5 hits that I was able to get out of the PD's stem, so in this respect, the LSV is as efficient as the PD. But here's the rub. Being that I can get such a HUGE, TASTY hit from the LSV, I have found that I am using a bit more bud, and therefore, getting a bit higher than I used to get with the PD. This will cause my tolerance to increase and therefore, efficiency will begin to suffer unless I dial it back a bit and take smaller hits, or go on more frequent one or two day t-breaks.

I only vape once in the evening every night, and with the PD, I'd go through from 3/4 of a stem to one stem. I am now loading the LSV's WPA with about 2 1/2 to 3 PD stems worth and it is lasting me about 2 1/2 to 3 nights. I feel that I am using a little more bud with the LSV, but not much more, at least that's the way it is now.

Regarding using it at the highest setting, I have found that I go into combustion at anything over 2:00, regardless how much I have loaded up the LSV. No need to go that high.

Can you use the LSV doing just one micro hit per session? Absolutely. Will you? That's debatable, considering how good things taste and how much fun it is to use, especially when hit through glass.

Taking a micro-hit from an LSV is like putting around in a Hennessy Viper at 30mph on an deserted freeway.

I feel this comment deserves restating even. I think its that important.

You can use your vape however you want. it's yours... but generally speaking there is usually a way that works "best" for each vape. and I would say loading them to their correct capacity is a very good idea.

for me for example. taste is a very important factor. and I know loading less = the flavour will be lost sooner. when it loses it's falvour but still giving off rips, it's a lot less satisfying for me. I don't think I am wasteful, because nearly all my herb gets used... and I do mean almost all of it. (see the avb oil thread in concentrates for more info)

thanks for sharing Lwien, I also wanted to hear that story as to how it came to be that you chose the lsv as your next vape.

im pretty eager for my package to come in the mail :)

^all very interesting and useful posts, thanks! I'll read them properly after dinner and post back. Just wanted to clarify:

I started using mg amounts when posting and thinking of my doses once I found that for me the negatives of medicating outweighed the positives until I invested in mg/carat scales and started titrating my doses till I hit the sweet spot. For me, this happened to be at the 0.03g level and less. Since I'll never go over 0.05g (50mg) again, it just made more sense for me to start measuring and thinking of my herb in terms of mg units.

Whilst it's true that I need to be prepared for discreet use when random family members stay round and can't really leave my vaporizer lying around due to younger cousins who seem do have no issues with picking up anything in my room when they visit and even opening cupboards and seeing what's in there, I don't think I'm at the point where I need to get a portable vaporizer. Fortunately I don't need to medicate throughout the day (provided I maintain the discipline for physio in the morning before work) so don't need to keep a vaporizer on me when out and about. It's just something to use before physio/training, sometimes after physio/training and esp in the evening if/when a bad pain episode strikes. During all those instances, I'm at home and will usually have the privacy of my room for at least 20mins.

It's just that the noise and form factor of the 'cano makes it a hassle to use sometimes. Esp since I need to hide my vaporizer behind stacks of books in the top shelf of my wardrobe when not in use to discourage nosy kids. The volcano in it's big box is a hassle to take out and put back 2 x per day. The LSV in it's hemp bag sounds like it would be ideal and a good compromise between a portable and desktop vape for my needs. Plus it has much better camoflouge(sp) in the hemp bag than the cano in it's retail box.

Not to knock the cano. I enjoyed at least 2 of them during the last 6-7years (gave at least 1 away to friends during prolonged tbreaks) and am happy to keep it around as a backup. However I've been interested in moving onto the glass vaporiser route for sometime and am keen to try something which would be compatible with my glass pieces which have rarely been used since I got into vaping.

lwien...you seem to land on good vapes that last a long time...nice job!

I've been rotating vapes a lot the last two weeks...even broke out the Ion once it got fixed. (Bags have a place and I think everyone could benefit from the capability.) At this point I think the LSV is my favorite vape after the Cloud...and it's not a distant second, either. I had been using one vape for the last three days and just found myself missing the taste and airflow of the LSV, so I just switched them...lovin it!

Ethonbotanist...I didn't think it would be this way due to its size, but the LSV is actually my most discreet bedroom vape. I hung it on the wall behind my chair, so it is easy to access and put away. It also stays the coolest of my vapes, so I don't mind leaving it on all day for when I need to sneak away. And it has the quickest routine. Just pour a little in the WPA and hit it twice. Then dump it out and put it away. I find that when everything is heated and ready to go I can get in and out of the bedroom within three minutes and get two very satisfying and mind altering hits. I don't use the bag except to travel.

For the price and the quality, this thing should be selling like hotcakes.

I agree.. The LSV isnt a Cloud but its a very versatile second. We're really digging ours and for some reason my Cloud gets REALLY hot in the winter time so we dont use it much. I love the LSV. The wand is great, the WPA is really nice (I got the fattie) and its just a nice piece. I tip my hat to 7th Floor. Ive got a SSV and an LSV along with the rest of my collection. I have an Iolite, a Magik Wand, an Oracle, a Volcano, a Vapir One, MFLB, a Cloud and I feel like IM forgetting another one. But the LSV and Cloud are our two favorites.
