Has anybody extracted the reclaim from your SOLO stems with a heat source and letting it drip out into a container or something along those lines?

If so how did it work? Did you need to use a torch? Put it in the oven? Did this smell?

I've been wanting to extract resin from my SOLO stems for smoking purposes, and would like to avoid the ISO procedure as it is just not an option for me. And you can never quite get all of it via the scraping method... I cant seem to find anything really long enough to scrape the inside with as well, so if you guys had suggestions on scraping tools, that'd be awesome too.

You can use a q-tip and then pull the cotton off and just vape that. Or you can put the stem in any 14mm opening and just torch the side of the stem while hitting your water pipe. I have done both and I must say you get waaaay bigger hits by torching the stem. It is just a pain to then clean it when you are done.

I use like a quarter of an inch piece just so it seals. Got it to work. Nice vid but damn you got ALOT of water in that piece lol
Thanks, and yeah I play around with the water level in that piece. Sometimes I fill right below the disc perc, sometimes right on it,sometimes a little above...each provides a different experience. I will lower water lever with shorter amount of tubing as well and see how that pulls. So no WPA in your tubing setup? Just tube straight into the stemline??

Quick question about the setup in the vid:
What kind of keck clip are you using?

It looks like an 18mm keck clip around a 18-14mm reducer, but I've found that keck clips do next to nothing when paired with a reducing adapter

That's a nice looking piece of glass too

Hi everybody,
this is my first message so...pleased to meet you, I have found this forum really useful!! Based on what I read here I bought my Solo, which, BTW, I really like.

Anyway, useful as it is, you will understand that reading this entire thread is a really big task, so I hope you will forgive me if I ask a question that has already been answered:
- In a video review of the Solo I found on youtube, the reviewer suggest that it should be cold before plugging it for recharge. So, after vaping, it should be left aside for a while before recharging. I don't really see this is a necesary step in other devices, so what do you think about it?

TIA and good clouds for everyone!!

Hey mate, I don't care about any question that might have been asked...the thread is too long for people to read IMO and I don't expect anyone to read the whole thing...it hard enough to dig deep and find the proper post that is needed as reference...

Anyway, I plug my solo to the charger ASAP and I don't think it matters much if its a bit hotter...if it would then I'd like to think that the product quality is poor which is false in the Solo case.

I actually have a bug with the LED when I start the device and I think it was caused by the cold and not by heat.

Welcome overvaped to FC ,
Ditto as mOsh , I plug mine in right after usage .
And I've had mine since July , knock on wood , no problems so far . ( M107 silver )

re : gnarlescharles
You said you wanted to reclaim the resin for smoking ,
I know a lot of members have made it with boiling milk and myself , have dunked the stem
in hot black coffee for drinking . And I can assure you it definitely still has some THC left to
be enjoyed . I've reclaim the resin from my mflb stem/whip , and spread it on some rolling
papers for my friend to smoke as oilers . He looks forward to my cleaning of the mflb now .:brow:

I imagine if you torch the stem , it would be hard to drip it thru the 4 holes .
If you had the turbo stem , which I believe is just 1 big hole , that might be more easier .
Keep us posted , on your findings .

Gnarlescharles, yI know people who torch their stems to catch drippings Ive even heard of people hittin the stem like they were taking dabs yMv.

basically because then I can use my PVHES stem(because they didn't have them out yet and didn't for some time). I do have the regular GonG stem though from PV.

Does the charger work well with uk voltage? is it a case of getting a cheap adaptor so it goes in our 3 pin sockets?

How long does the battery last if used a lot (in years?)

How much is a new battery? are they easy to get? free post to uk?

What kind of keck clip are you using?

Fred, It's a 14mm Keck clip. solely used to connect the reducer to my 7thFloor wpa so when I go to clear the tube it's one piece not 2 separate clangin' glass pieces.

That's a nice looking piece of glass too

Thank you sir. I researched Blown brand after purchase and was sad to see that it was chinese made and shipped to US warehouses for distribution to local shops around US. It IS thick glass though and functions quite nicely(I throw a nail in it with an adapter & it works well with oil dabs) for price I paid for it.

IDK

No ones battery has technically died yet

I doubt it

Yea Blown is pretty good. I have a 17inch 15arm tree beaker that is 7mm thick. Its a nice piece, but money is tight and you might be seeing it for sale in the classifieds soon lol

Hey guys! I'll be joining the club shortly. I recently upgraded my SSV to an LSV, but I don't have a solid portable. I'm dealing with my brother's vapor genie when on the go for now, which works but...well it isn't optimal to say the least. It's above combustion, but not much more than that.

I ordered from Puffitup with amazing service, they were able to throw in one of Ed's TNT Granadillo stems, replacing the bent/straight stock stems, for 160 including shipping and a grinder. Pumped is an understatement! I've read most of this thread here and there, but I'm still a bit unsure which model to expect, and what to expect with said newest model. I've been following the Solo for at least a year now, so it'll be great getting one!

I also went over to planetvape, and grabbed one of their PVES stems, the non-shorty non-turbo 18mm. What should I expect with this compared to the Granadillo? Both will be used through water, but obviously Ed's will be for travel and dry too.

I've heard (and seen!) the Solo milk a tube or two. Do you guys find it's best with bubblers or does it handle full size tubes fine? I'll be using it with my 16inch gridded stemline mostly.

The Solo definitely works better on my bubbler than any of my other tubes/beakers.

It does work well, the thing that is great about the solo is that the charger(and solo) works at 100-240V so its good for US,UK and the rest!
All you need to do is to get a plastic adapter to it will fit you hole...a few cents or a pound at most (here its .60euros)

If only the cloud was the same it would have been international ready

I am having trouble with my Solo M1A3, wondering if anyone can help.

While plugged into my Wall Charger, the Blue Idle light is staying lit but flickering every couple seconds, the 1-7 Orange Lights are flickering between 1 and 3, and my red Charge light is staying lit while flickering every so often like the others. My Wall Charger is displaying a solid red light.

When my Solo is unplugged, holding the Up+Down buttons (Which would normally turn it on) does nothing.

I treat my Solo very well and charge it regularly (basically whenever not in use, like recommended).

Any ideas?

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Leave the wall wart plugged in..... with the device OFF, attach it to the charger. Does it make a difference ??

I say this as I've had issues in the past with chargers (including the Solo's) and this has corrected "MY" issue.

This is how I always charge my Solo, doing this gets me to the weird LED combo mentioned in my last post.

As well, try to find a different 12 volt charger that can supply at least 1 full amp of current. You can get these at wal-mart, but make sure your not buying an underpowered unit. The 1-3 lights error seems to come up when the Solo isn't getting the proper amount of current it needs. It could be that the transformer in the charger is damaged and not providing enough power to charge.

Hmm, ok. I am sick today so it may take me a bit to take the trip to the store.

Any other ideas in the meantime?

I'm sorry to hear you are sick; especially with a dead solo. I'm afraid I am fresh out of idea's though, because the only time I've seen the three light issue is when my charger died, as well as a time I tried using a car adapter that couldn't supply enough current. I hope you feel better soon.

Weird: Just noticed my Solo is now charging normally. I had left it sitting plugged in it's "Error" state, now it's charging fine.
