Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

So that's what I would like, if its out there, an experienced vape user who knows his/her concentrates, and can in good faith recommend any of these newer products as a "keeper" and of course "why?" .

First off, being one of the very few to have actually used the Cera, I can say with some confidence you're going to be happy with it. It might very well change the game for you.

As a long time fan of the 2.4 Ohm Omicron carts with good concentrates, I too am hopeful the remaining issues will be sorted out in due time. One can get a lot of confidence here when you consider history and how D9 handles the routine user problems as they come up.

Faith in a good outcome is justified IMO.

Ok, so to answer a few of the questions, yes there was definitely melted delrin, but I'm not 100% sure if any of it ended up inside the cartridge. The black hard left over material in question could possibly be bits of delrin, but I cannot say for sure as I am unsure of how to test this.

OF - I just tried snapping a little tiny melted piece off of the top ring and sure enough it snapped off with ease. I'm going to try and get a close up macro pic with that piece next to all the other black pieces I've collected that weren't able to dissolve in the alcohol or the boil.

EDIT - After getting a macro shot of the snapped piece next to a bunch of the tiny pieces it looks like they very well could be tiny pieces of delrin...Not really sure what to think now :/

Piece i snapped off is on the left, leftovers from inside the cart are on the left.

Cool. The key, I think, is to note the finish on the surface it flakes off from? Does it still look uniform and finished or is there now a big chip taken out? That is, is there material now missing?

TIA

The top ring is still retaining it's shape, just the bit of delrin that was bubbled out chipped off. If I didn't answer your questions properly, let me know. I could also snap pics for you if that would help?

Aside from weighing the pieces and comparing them to your backup ones, I have another simple test you could perform.

You could take the shards outside (so there is plenty of ventilation) and take a lighter to them. If they melt they are most likely delrin. In my experience burnt oil residue won't melt. This may not be the best test to perform, but it is a quick and easy one.

Edit: Slide you may also want to either email these photos to G, or pm him, or both. I seem to remember him saying a couple of days ago that he is very busy right now trying to get everything sorted out and doesn't have a chance to read the forums right now.

But we do still like to be kept in the loop as well!

I will give this a shot when I'm back later tonight.

I don't think me weighing it would do much good as the scale I have is only .1 and is quite old. I'll see if I can grab one on the way home tonight for this.

Good idea bro, any idea what his email address is? Or should I just PM in the forum?

I didn't even think if you had a very precise scale, I am just so used to having one.lol

I have no idea what his email address is, but you could submit a ticket via D9 and put attention G. I would probably pm him as he may be more likely to see that. I'm sure he will get caught up on the threads soon, but he did seem very interested in your case that's why I had suggested it.

I think the best we can tell ourselves is people are working on it. I am also looking for that device that will give me oil hits that are close to nail or skillet dabs, something I can change to different strains easily and not have to load a 1/2g at a time to only get a few flavorful hits. The Omni carts are good for stealth on the go use and I use them all the time but at 2.7ohm i have to use it 24/7, at 1.5ohm I need an hour long sessions and multiple carts to keep from overheating, at 7.4v and 5ohm I can get medicated in under 15min but flavor is only so so on a fresh cart and just run of the mill after that. I don't have some of the finest oils made from all bud to want it to taste like some leaf run BHO.

I would be fine if my lungs could handle dabbing, but they just can't. A portable or plug in vape that will allow temp control to do oil dabs is all I am looking for and I know it will come, I am counting on you G.

Two Persei's & two SOLO's. WaITING FOR MY two hercules!

I don't know if anyone has tried my 1/2" SS screen solution 4 flowers.

The following works 4 oil also and takes all the top delrin out of the equation .

- take off heat shield tube (which also removes all delrin in air path.)
- use an 18.8 downstem as a heat shield/ mouthpiece down on the exposed tube.
- do not over tighten glass.
- CAUTION! The exposed metal tube will burn yr ass. the glass, not so much.
- Caution, u can run the head too hot. My wires pulled cause I got glass tight & didn't wait 4 cool.
- fixed wire problem w/ dab of jb weld.

- LOOKS KOOL!
- tastes awesome, glass and SS.

- I def use 1/2 " SS screens from PV cause I'm into the bud. 1 down the tube, 1 fits nice in stem.

- d9 said I could cut my black heat tube w/o null me warranty, but I may stay w/ glass most of the time.

- obviously u could stick this in a bub w/ flowers & screens, dunno bout the oil can...maybe screens in stem 2 keep from ripping that little sucker godknowswhere.

I bought the silver first however the black ring and cap bugged me so I got the black one to switch ring and cap now the colors match.

400 rips for 2 grams (Average)
500 rips for 2.5 grams (had a cart that yielded 503 rips before done)
2.4V cart (safe zone)
I find the lighter drier waxes to taste and perform well.

Is this what others are finding?

so, i've continued testing the Hercules cart out and I must say it's a beast. Ive been loading .2 at a time and I must say that compared to the regular carts that are out the taste the hercules produces is phenomenal, very close to a nail. Only thing is it drains out my AW IMR batteries pretty quick so I must say my AW batteries now live on the charger pretty much. My warmup time is usually about 25-30 seconds then a nice steady pull and wow, medicine at its best.

I had one slight clog after a nice session but that was because I didn't do a cool down but after an effortless pull the clog cleared with ease, nothing like the first generation carts.

Sorry I've been a day or so, had some family things which needed my attention first.

Anyways, on with the good news... I tried melting the hard black pieces in a pyrex dish and when I hit it with the torch there was no melting, a little bit of oil seeped out around the pile of shards which didn't melt, just eventually set on fire.

EDIT - Just to be clear NO delrin was found inside the cartridge at all. There was only a miniscule bit of delrin which melted on the outside of the cartridge from the top ring.

Hey guys I know theres lots of you waiting for the core to come out or are wanting a passthrough that can run the hercules carts or the hammer.
Well I think I have a great diy idea for a variable voltage passthrough.
The power supply being one of these.
http://www.tattoo-power-supplies.co...ariable-single-output-dc-power-supply-63.html
0-15 volts and up to 5 amps.

Then you would just have to build a simple switch/button and connection. Just like a simple ecig mod just with a large enough gage wire to safely handle 5 amps.

I know this thing isnt portable but thats what I thought batteries are for lol

What do you guys think?

It wasn't very nice of you to flood the offices so you would be the only one to enjoy Cera on Christmas....:puke:

Still no updates on Iris... You'd think something would have at least mentioned it on here... Hope G is enjoying our pre-order funds, cuz I am certainly not! Was my only gift to myself~ In November I thought: "Sure, 4 weeks is plenty of time, sure D9 is legit"... And still I wait.
Nope, just folks willing to praise half baked ideas that never come to fruition.. Cult status.

Is a freaking update too much to ask for??

Wow! I guess if you can't deal with delays maybe you should avoid pre orders? Wait until new stuff is all sorted out and it's in stock for immediate shipment. It's kind of in the nature of such things for them to not come off on schedule and they're basically never early......meaning they're usually late.

Yes, by all means cancel your order if you're inclined. And while Cera too is a new product (and running a week or so late as well...) you might have higher confidence there? As you point out, that's how capitalism is supposed to work.

As a matter of perspective, most of us waiting this out have confidence in D9 based on our experience with them, their products and their history of 'making it right'. We see nothing crooked or underhanded going on and are I think thankful that G and company is taking risks to bring new and useful products to market for us to consider.

Good luck.

Lordamercy, shortened me boro mouthpiece/heat sink. The setup still looks (and hits) like a ray gun.
Glass is now 1 3/4" long. Heavy score w/ dremel diamond wheel under dripping faucet. Polished the edge on the side of the wheel.
Drip h2o down into cut, not on blade. And remember, always wear safety glasses. Fer godsake.

I can't understand why every one of you isn't doing this. It. Tastes. Awesome. awesomer than hot delrin, fer certain? U can easy stick it in any 18.8 joint h2o tool and fucking go to town on it . U don't need to cut the stem, I just did it 4 work.

Somebody's got to be able to blo a custom boro mouthpiece/heatshield. The 18.8 downstem looks amazing but it is tapered inside.

And this all still fits in a cigarcaddy double Churchill along with, pill fob for meds, tool, 2 aw imrs, 2 more in persei. Odor tight, outta sight.
